Was brought here for the first time in the summer during a cycle ride. It was lovely, great service, lovely cake and fabulous friendly atmosphere. Out on a cycle ride today visited again with a friend. We were not disappointed. The coffee was lovely and we enjoyed a very nice toasted bagel. Prices are excellent, surroundings and atmosphere very friendly. Service quick and friendly. I correctly suspected the cafe might be under new management as it seemed tidier. This place is definitely a hidden gem that you really must visit. It is located in beautiful, peaceful surroundings so enjoy a walk or a cycle ride out!!!

I have to say over the years I have visited hundreds of cafes so I am well placed to comment on this .. Cafes usually concentrate on profit and provide an average product This Cafe concentrates on quality bringing back regular custom time and time again, each item they sell has clearly been tested for quality by the staff and where possible purchased locally The quality of customer care in this Cafe is on par with the quality of food It is also a lovely picturesque environment off the beaten track Well done to all involved

I've been meaning to leave a review of The Fisheries Cafe for quite some time. It's a real gem of a place and the food is superb. It's run by a lovely couple and everything is served fresh and with a smile. It doesn't have a wide ranging menu but what it does serve is always first class. It apparently does a roaring trade in breakfasts - I've not tried that yet but every meal I have eaten has been great 👍.

I recently had the pleasure of enjoying breakfast at Brew & Bee, and it was truly a delightful experience. We ordered the full English breakfast and the vegetarian breakfast, both of which were well-prepared and delicious. The option to choose how we wanted our eggs was a nice touch, ensuring that each dish was tailored to our preferences. One standout moment was the cappuccino we ordered. It arrived with an adorable bee design dusted in chocolate powder on top, which added a charming and whimsical flair to our morning. It’s these little details that make a dining experience memorable. The atmosphere of Brew & Bee is warm and inviting. The space is small but bright, filled with natural light, and adorned with beautiful works from local artists available for sale on the walls. This not only enhances the ambiance but also supports the local community, which is something I appreciate. While the cafe got busier as we enjoyed our meal, it remained comfortable and cozy. The staff were exceptionally friendly from the moment we walked in, making us feel welcome and valued customers. Overall, I highly recommend Brew & Bee for anyone looking for a lovely breakfast spot. Whether you're a fan of traditional English breakfasts or prefer a vegetarian option, this charming cafe has something for everyone. I can’t wait to return and try more from their menu!

A new bar opposite the university. We went just after lunch on a Wednesday and it was pretty busy with both takeaway food as well as food and drinks on the premises. The bread that we snacked on was gorgeous and the stout - locally brewed - was really good. Can't wait to go again !
