Bueno, parece que a pesar de las últimas tres reseñas de todos los slaming este café, nada ha cambiado en los últimos dos años. Esta mañana fuimos a tomar un sándwich de té y tocino para mí y el "jefe" llegó para escuchar a dos miembros del personal peleando por algo que se estaba rompiendo. Luego logramos hacer el pedido, pero lo que salió fue un pequeño panecillo con dos trozos de tocino (menú decía tres sarpullidos). Mientras esperábamos, tuvimos el placer de escuchar al personal escoriarse unos a otros en pequeños "aquelarres" (en particular, uno parecía estar quejándose a otro de que una persona invisible en la cocina se había negado a dar el otro huevo escalfado gratis en las tostadas y los hizo pasar por la caja) , luego criticando en voz alta la gestión a lo largo de la longitud del café en pleno oído de todos, y generalmente no haciendo nada para que la tienda parezca acogedora o eficientemente administrada. Añada a esto un caballero que vino justo después de nosotros y pidió un teacake, se quedó casi 20 minutos esperando mientras el personal estaba ocupado discutiendo lo difícil que fue. Cuando se quejó la respuesta fue una escueta "saldrá en un minuto". Como nadie más había pedido comida, cabe preguntarse ¿qué tenía de complejo tostar una té? Normalmente no abogo por que se invite a las personas a la oficina "sin té y galletas", ya que todos tienen un día libre, pero esto parecía ser "lo de siempre" para los involucrados. Al menos ahora sé por qué el café estaba vacío. No volveremos.

Shocking service, unfriendly unhelpful staff. Bought 2 children meals, a pot of tea and two naked juices. Was told that you can't have water with a children's meal. So what if that's all they drink, the staff member reluctantly agreed to let her have a normal size water. Took a while then to put the food through the till as it wasn't the norm All this and charged £14.00 for 2 dry ham sandwiches not cut through properly so the meat fell on the floor when they picked it up, a bag of crisps and water. Others wanting to be served were ignored and left to queue while staff stayed out back. One customer went into the main store to see if they could help find someone to serve them Tables were left uncleared. Management really need to look into this as it reflects so badly on the store. It is true we won't be back.

I don't know why I bothered. The store is a shambles anyway, locals complain it's dirty, there's never any baskets, staff get annoyed when you need them to authorise your booze purchase, they stand around yapping to each other and wander around chewing gum with their mouths open spraying spittle and bacteria over everything

We visited the cafe. The coffee machine gave short measure. The staff took an age to appear. An order for a toasted tea cake resulted in a flattened offering. Complaint to the staff resulted in nothing. So went in search of store manager. A few plattitudes before they walked off. So a complaint to their customer services only this resulted in a similar response. No confidence that they will do anything about it. AVOID
