I successfully rented a one bedroom flat with Squire Estates at the end of September 2024, it's a really great agency, professional, reliable and, most importantly, hassle free. I dealt with Ashley, one of their agents, who made sure the whole process went as fast and as smoothly as possible and it did ! The whole thing took less than 2 weeks for me, everything was so easy that it blew my mind away, and Ashley went above and beyond to get me what I wanted in the time given, I am very grateful. My experience with squire estates has been amazing from the start. Me and my boyfriend were looking to rent our 1st property together so we called around different estate agency's. A few agencys didnt appear that helpful it felt like we were brushed off at times due to meeting certain requirements.. We then contacted squire estates and spoke with Ashley who has been in contact with us from the start - from phone call to email. Our main concern was having a little debt (but who doesnt in these hard times) but we was honest from the start with ashley and he reassured us that as long as our combined household earned over what was required and we didnt have any CCJs then we would be ok. We then went onto arranging a few viewings and loved the 1st place we viewed and applied straight away. To our luck we was accepted from the landlord to credit checking. We are now 1 week into our new flat and loving it. I would recommend squire estates because they are very professional and have kept us in the loop with anything that is required. I initially wrote a frustrated review due to a missed managed appointment, feeling let down and inconvenienced. However, I'm now singing a completely different tune, thanks to the fantastic service of Ashley at Aquire Estate agency. It turned out the missed appointment was a complete fluke caused by a system glitch, nothing more. Ashley, instead of simply offering an apology, took ownership of the situation, explained the technical hiccup clearly, and proactively addressed my concerns. Worst experience living in the house. Well they deducted half of my money from my deposit. The house manager Niamh noggins from HP2 6BS deducted my half deposit making excuses. Suddenly increased the room rent and started making the excuses and took half of my my deposit money. ALL IS SCAM. BLOODY BEGGARS. I recommend not to take any room from them.

I viewed the property and by the end of the same day they had secured the property with the landlord on my behalf, and I had the keys within ten days. This is an independent local business that does things the right way, strongly recommended!

Enquired about a property to buy, was promised a call back within 5 minutes. Two weeks had passed and still nothing! I noticed the property had changed that morning to SSTC, a call back to acknowledge the enquiry would have been appreciated. I then received an email match some weeks later, for a property that does not fit my requirements....I also have not been formally registered yet am receiving email matches? Poor service

Today they booked a wiev for us at 13:30 at Woodhall and we accepted it but we were 3th when we got the property since they booked many people for 13:30 without given any time slot! This kind of service not belong to 2023. The most disgusting service that I have ever seen in the soils of United Kingdom served by Ashley! Disgusting company disgusting service by Ashley! You can't treat this way to the people as if they are animals!

Not happy with communication. As I'm working full 6 days a week it can be difficult to answer the phone. But I didn't even get any email or text about the viewing cancellation.

I have been a landlord and a tenant though Squires. The initial contact was fantastic, they were great. However in the past year we have been dealing with first Jodie and then Trina both of whom are unbelievably rude and hostile to both myself and my partner. Neither of us can understand why as we don’t know these people personally yet for some reason they are almost deliberately difficult in communication we currently are waiting for a repair to a shower that was apparently given the go ahead over a month ago yet they refuse to tell us what the repair is or arrange to carry out the repair. The plumber they sent told us he would ‘get a new bathroom out of the landlord’ which it didn’t need (and as a landlord myself I wasn’t comfortable with) , we requested it was just repaired and since then they seem to be annoyed and are evasive. Trina literally said ‘yea and’ to my partner it was like a little Britain sketch. Very embarrassing and confusing not to mention extremely unprofessional.

A series of breakdowns and associated plumbing and electrical problems have been reported and dealt with in good time and very efectivly.

Live in a property managed by squire estates and by far the best estate agents we've ever had. Always here to help with anything and sort any issues out that we've had and very quickly too. Obviously we are lucky to have a great landlord too but Boiler broke and we had engineers organised the same day, lock broke on front door and was locked inside a locksmith was round within the hour, plus we've asked about changes we've wanted to make like carpets and this was dealt with promptly and professionally by squires. Huge shout out to Jody from squires who has been at the forefront of all of these and for us, she is their best asset. So if you have read this far down 🤣 Squire estates are the only estate agents I would consider in the Hemel area.

I have been a customer of Squire Estates for many years now and have always found them efficient in finding exceptional new tenants in a timely manner. Maintenance issues get reported quickly and are repairs are carried out to a good standard. Rent payments and contract issues are resolved with tenants as they fall due. In summary, 'they do what it says on the tin'. Find good tenants, manage those tenants and pay the landlords....
