MJ's Bar & Bistro in Strabane

Superbly well presented excellent quality food with good size portions at a reasonable cost served by efficient friendly staff which all led to a great experience will most certainly be returning soon

Tenía pensado MJS haría plena antigua comida del país - I. E. un montón de grub. Sin embargo, el domingo menú del almuerzo tenía una buena variedad. Para empezar, sopa, sopa de legumbres, bruschetta, setas y a una buena selección de lo habitual pero con una diferencia. Le verlo otra vez en un viernes o un sábado por la noche.

Cenamos aquí esta tarde después de leer tantas buenas críticas. Las primeras impresiones fueron geniales. El interior es moderno, luminoso y acogedor. Después de poner orden que esperamos alrededor media hora para la comida, que era un poco tiempo teníamos dos niños pequeños con nosotros!

No sabía que este lugar existía pero me alegro mucho de haberlo encontrado! La comida era de muy buen nivel, de buena calidad y cocinado a la perfección.

Not being a stranger to bar food, I have to say I was very pleasantly surprised by MJ'S bar and bistro. The food was exceptional, and add to that the warm and friendly service its a must eat place.

Tienen comimos en varias veces de MJ y nunca hemos dejado si tiene hambre o decepcionado. ¡reciba una cálida bienvenida en cada visita y el personal es muy servicial y amable! La comida para mí es absolutamente hermoso y a un precio muy razonable como tamaño de las porciones son geniales. Recomiendo este lugar para familias también es muy adecuado para los niños. Es fantástico tener un excelente restaurante en la zona, así que animar a la gente a probarlo, ¡no te defraudará!

Si alguna vez te encuentres en Castlederg, asegúrate de hacer una visita a Mjs! La comida es absolutamente deliciosa para dichos precios económicos! Para el almuerzo de domingo puedes conseguir tres platos por £13,95 , eso si podéis! Todos los jueves y viernes hay un menú de los madrugadores desde las 4-7 pm, en donde puedes conseguir tres platos por £12.50 ! Sin duda recomendaría el canto y los toros hamburguesa si tienes un apetito enorme! deslizantes de hamburguesa son deliciosos también especialmente si selector indeciso como yo! T

Comimos aquí hoy y tengo que decir que es probablemente una de las mejores comidas que he comido. Cuando entras en el restaurante su recibidos por el personal encantador, amable que presenta inmediatamente a su mesa. Mi pareja tenía alas de buffalo y yo tuvimos fried brie, ambos deliciosos. La hamburguesa es para morirse y el Chicken Supreme es uno de los mejores mi compañero dice que ha tenido jamás. Luego el Zara encantadora nos trajo el menú de postres, tarta y el merengue toffees ... yummylicious. El gerente Shirley tiene un conocimiento de todos los platos en el menú y respondió a todas nuestras preguntas de una manera educado y cortés. Sin duda vale la pena una visita.

mejor comida que he tenido en muy, muy, muy largo tiempo. Vale la pena el viaje! El personal era encantador y educado, y muy atento. Yo tenía el almuerzo del domingo, el bistec que tuve fue increíble que se derretía en la boca. Realmente no puedo esperar ahora hasta que lo probé el restaurante a la carta ... Comimos aquí no hace mucho, tenía las gambas de empezar y estaban deliciosos. La hamburguesa es de visita obligada, sin embargo puede significar que no hay espacio para el postre, que las cosas una bestia.

I ate here recently and the food was delicious. I had the prawns for starters and they were gorgeous. The staff were very helpful and attentive. Would defo be going back.

As soon as we entered the restaurant there was a lovely atmosphere. Staff were very friendly and seated us right away, (even though we hadn't booked). That was just the beginning to a fantastic evening! I had the herb crusted cod with bacon layonaise potatoes, my boyfriend had the cock and bull bang bang. If we could've licked our plates we would have! Both dishes were perfectly cooked and bursting with flavour. We will be returning!

I was invited to my sister's family get together here,and we had a thoroughly enjoyable meal..a wide ranging early bird menu had something for all,I had a chicken Caesar salad to start,followed by a very tasty (and large!) steak burger that gave me pause on seeing the size of it..there's a side dish option with each main course too (bacon lyonnaise potatoes for me).Regretfully I was unable to try the dessert selection this time...

Had the pleasure to visit this bistro recently and have to say, we were very impressed. Food really hit the spot, (hats off to chef) and the staff were some of the most welcoming and accommodating that we have had the pleasure to come across. Beautiful decor.Congrats on your new refurb.The atmosphere was so warm and welcoming. We have recommended to several of our friends and will return with pleasure in the near future again.

After hearing all the hype about the new bistro in the town we decided to give it a try. With being able to view there menu online was a great help. With a group of 8, we booked in, nothing was a bother for the helpful staff, even though they where extremely busy. The service was fantastic and the meal was great, 10 out of 10 all round. We will all be back, it is a must to visit!!

Went with a group of friends to try out this new establishment. Staff were very friendly, welcoming and more than helpful! Service was fast and we weren't left waiting too long. When food arrive there was adepquate portion sizes given. Staff were more than accommodating when it came to paying the bill as we all were paying seperately. Finally the prices for the food were more than reasonable and we all can't wait to go back! Definitely a good asset to Castlederg.

Fantastic, friendly, efficient staff made us feel very welcome to the new bistro. The food was absolutely amazing. Lots of choice in the menu to suit everyone. Every course at our table of 5 was delicious. Will definitely be back very soon.

Arrived with the family for an early Saturday dinner and we were all absolutely starving. The restaurant area is set up well, is stylishly decorated, has a nice atmosphere and is kept separate from the bar crowd which is great.I had the chicken wings for starters and they were out of this world. I could have ate a bucket load of them and nothing else. They were spicy with a hint of saltiness and had an accompanying cheese dip which was polished off in no time. The better half had the Caesar salad, which I was told was spot on.For main course it was the Cock and Bull (chicken and steak) and also the Cock and Bull burger (chicken fillet, 6oz burger, bacon, egg, cheese and salad), both of which had us impressed, by the presentation as well as the flavours. It takes a big appetite to finish off your plate with these.Desserts, although I don't know how we managed any, were enticing and we had the cheesecake and chocolate brownies. Even though both stuffed, we managed to polish off each of them.Highly recommended for a dinner and hopefully I'll be able to rave about their Sunday lunch offerings as I've not yet had the pleasure to sample.

We were greeted by friendly homely hospitality as we arrived. The food is great. So tasty and fulling. I would recommend the chicken wings as also the monster cock and bull burger it's a feeding on it's own but not for faint hearted but so worth it ;p This place is certain to draw crowds back into castlederg. A must try. Will be back very soon!
