Mint leaf Nepalese and indian restaurant in Stirling

We really enjoyed a decent Indian/ Nepalese meal however are so often disappointed by mass market brightly coloured unauthentic Indian food. Here the food is good, ok it's for the British palate but some of the dishes are spot on. We had great momos for starters and all 3 of our mains tasted different and were good. Service was also spot on. Prices were reasonable so if in Stirling again we'd without doubt return.

Food is cooked by unsanitary Chefs, my family got a takeaway from here and we all got Food poisoning.

The mint leaf is exceptional. This is my favourite place to eat in Stirling. Me and my partner had lunch here and the service and food was top class. I recommend the chicken 65 starter and the South Indian chili chicken main. So delicious.

Superb meal here had the Railway lamb curry and peas pilau rice just so tasty definitely will return

We came in by chance and the food was delicious, very fast and at a good price and very friendly.

Fantastic place to eat Indian food. Heat level on curries was spot on, portions were large and delicious! Min (server) was professional, very friendly and a delight to chat with! Popadoms were one of the very best I’ve had and I’ve had a few too many. Highly recommended overall!

We attended for Christmas dinner having previously eaten here. The quality of the food and value for money was excellent, and we look forward to going back again soon.

Genuinely authentic food. Quality, prideful cooking. The ‘British curry classics’ are there but there is more on offer. The best paneer I’ve eaten and I’ve eaten a lot! Fish pakora and black dhal were also delicious. Nice to have a black dhal option as well as the usual tarka.

Managed to squeeze in a last minute reservation and was glad for it. The restaurant was full and had many walk-ups during our stay. The menu has some very intriguing selections to augment a great choice of standard favourites. I chose from the Nepali offerings and received wonderfully rich and deeply flavoured food. Best meal of a 3-week trip! I would definitely recommend the food here as a treat for your palate.

Such an atmospheric restaurant with nice staff, really flavourful food and reasonable prices. The garlic and coriander naan, pea rice, vegetable pakora and vegetarian mains were all tasty and big portions. Highly recommended.

Had lunch at the Mint Leaf with 3 others. The restaurant was busy, clean (even the toilets) and had a nice atmosphere. We usually go to Mr Singh’s Indian Cottage but had heard good things about Mint Leaf. I ordered veg pakora and saag paneer, both of which were delicious ! Recommend the garlic naan - so light and tasty. I have taken a star off as one of our party’s curry was a little stingy on the chicken. Appreciate it was lunchtime but comparing to other Indian restaurants we go to, it was too small. I feel that there should be more vegetarian options on the lunch menus. When I asked if I could have the saag made with paneer it was no problem but perhaps paneer or Quorn pieces could be offered on the menu as an alternative to chicken or lamb. The service was good - lots of staff and the food arrived without delay. I have taken a star off this as we were originally charged for 3 extra drinks (always check your bill) and in comparison to the Indian Cottage, we didn’t get any hot towels afterwards. Overall, I really enjoyed my lunch and would definitely return.

We were at Mint Leaf in the city of Stirling, Scotland, a very well-positioned restaurant that serves Nepalese and Indian food. Although we did not know it, the aromas as we passed by the front of the establishment made us return to our oasos and enter. We were surprised by a very well decorated, spacious and cozy place. The waiters were very attentive. Without being on top of you, they were available at all times to recommend and explain any dish or drink to us, always with a smile. Later, speaking with one of them, we found out that he was one of the owners of the place, so he told us part of the history, the awards they have obtained and the origins of the raw materials they use. The dishes are all exquisite, with typical oriental aromas and flavors. We had an incredible experience that we would undoubtedly choose again. Health!! 🍷🍷

Unfamiliar with Indian restaurants in Stirling, we looked on Google, and the Mint Leaf had fantastic reviews... rightly so 😊. We booked a table (online) for 4 people at 18:00 on Saturday 6th July. We were given a warn welcomed at the door and shown straight to our table. A very spacious booth, with very comfortable seating and an immaculately set table. The staff are all very polite. The drinks came straight away. The starters arrived piping hot (freshly cooked). We all ordered pakora (I had the mixed plate). Beautifully presented and very tasty . All 4 of us ordered different main dishes. I decided to try something new. The Madhira Chicken curry was delicious. A creamy massala style sauce with a dash of dark rum. Mushroom fried rice and a chapati completed the meal. Generous portions - we ended up taking some home and enjoyed it for lunch the next day. Great value for money. Thoroughly recommend this fantastic restaurant. We will definitely be back.

We went shortly before closing time. The waiter was borderline rude and very impatient he said have a quick main course and that's it. I think it would have been better to tell us No. The food was very delicious.

I'm Indian and this has been by far one of the best Indian food experience in Stirling so far. Everything we ordered had authentic flavour and taste. Quantity was lovely and the price was good.

Well,what can i say about this place...WOW,the food was SUBERB.My dad is a big fan of a lamb chop and he said these were the best he had tasted in a long time.My mum had prawns with spinach and said the prawns were big,juicy and very tasty.I had the lamb shank and OMG it was lovely,so much so that I picked it up at one point to eat it(sorry for anyone watching,it wasn't pretty)We had a great meal and when we returned it got even better.This time Mum had the Prawns in the lemongrass sauce,she liked it a lot.I opted for some starters and I can HONESTLY say that I would drive here just for the Mo Mo...It was OUTSTANDING,the chicken lollipops and mixed pakora were also a delight.The staff were lovely.Would highly recommended giving this place a go.

Great food and value for money.

Been a few times over the years, on this occasion the chicken was tough in mine and my wife's main course. We brought it to the attention of a member of staff who did nothing about it. Its a shame because we did really like it here.

Brilliant find! Lunch menu was very reasonable and they have great gluten free options. I had the Goan fish curry which was perfectly spiced.

The cuisine was delightful, the atmosphere was pleasant, and the staff was courteous and welcoming.

We had a great business lunch at Mint Leaf today. The food was delicious, portion sizes were good and the staff were lovely- high recommended. Thanks for a lovely time.

I recently tried a variety of dishes from Mint Leaf. The momos chicken and plain naan were comparitively better, with good flavors and textures. However, the tandoori chicken lacked seasoning and freshness, which was disappointing. The chicken biryani was a letdown as well, lacking flavor and resembling plain turmeric rice rather than the aromatic dish I expected. Overall, while some items were good, the lack of taste and freshness in others was a disappointment."

Tried the restaurant twice and had a good experience overall. Better than other Indian/Pakistani restaurants in Stirling area. Biryani though did not look good but taste was good. Tandoori chicken was also great. Momo were excellent. Cheese naan was yummy. Edit: Went again, food was good! Pictures added. Recommended.

Best in Stirling at one time. Not anymore. Food has deteriorated to the "ketchup sauce" standard. Will not be back. Shame, because it used to be so much better.

Been going regularly now for 2 years and it is always superb. Service tip top too. Good selection of dishes and probably the best nan bread ever. Highly recommended.

Great food, excellent price. Only may be issue, is if you don't eat Indian food, they ask for 24hr notice and you have you to choose from a few options. Otherwise, I can say nothing but great things about this restaurant!

Highly recommend for an authentic Nepalese & Indian culinary experience. The Mint Leaf has great service, Khim was very friendly and the other staff (didn’t catch names!) were also very welcoming. The atmosphere is spot on, great interior. The wooden structure near the entrance adds to the “Nepal foothills” vibe. Now the food… honestly one of the best curries I’ve had in a very long time. I tried the Katmandu Chicken - hot and very tasty (comes with nan or rice). Washed down with a cold pint of cobra. We also sampled the chicken biriyani and mo:mo chicken dumplings. All tasted incredible. Portion sizes are large, so good value. They also make an effort in the kitchen to use less oil and less salt. Overall, a top notch experience and cannot recommend enough. I will most definitely be returning.

My partner and I visited the restaurant yesterday with our two friends. This was a lunch visit and the celebration was our friend's birthday We had the three course lunch with wine. The food was excellent. We all tried each other's starters. Mine was garlic mushrooms. Gorgeous and very well presented. The bill for 4 was £88 which we consider to be great value. This included two bottles of wine. We are looking forward to returning soon!

Stirling has a generous selection of Indian restaurants to choose from but this is by far my favourite. A wide menu selection, reasonably priced, good quality food and attentive staff. Each dish is rich in flavour with a wide range to satisfy the taste buds. Plenty of drinks to choose from too. I am usually too full to find room for dessert but perhaps one day...

Decent ambience, nice pictures of scenery from Nepal on the walls. Food was good, service was slower than normal, restaurant busy and guess lots of take away orders to fulfill as delivery drivers were in the restaurant constant. We went on a weekday again and the restaurant was quieter with good service, were able to interact with manager Mohan. They maintain good food quality. Would highly recommend the place. Kathmandu Chicken hit the notes.
