so unprofessional and rude on phone, waited over 2 hrs for food. no sorry. will not be coming again. food distgusting. Overpriced.

Lately it’s been hard to believe that a simple thing like a chip can be made and provided that is up to standard in most places ,,,,, the guys however make a lovely chip , always full of flavour and warm , very few end pieces just good old fashioned decent chips . Fair play keep it up . We do notice and we do come back again and again .

Excellent fresh delicious food the chips are the best I’ve tasted proper chippy chips! Staff are lovely and very reasonably priced! Recommend.

I asked for salt and vinegar on my meal. I watched her not put it on and just wrap it up. I asked if she could put salt and vinegar on and she said she did. Why lie???? Took the effort to make my food and deny me the most basic request in a chippy? Very poor and ruined my meal (salt and vinegar being important) 🤷🏻‍♂️ this kind of service is why I’ve stopped bothering with you and eat elsewhere now

It’s a fish and chip. Not much more to it. The worryingly fast service shakes my confidence in the freshness of the food. £10.95 which is more or less the average going rate for a fish supper these days. £1.10 was shocking for a dip, even worse when you see how small it is. Chips were slightly pale, evenly cooked and the fish is nice enough, good size.

Absolutely disgusted with the service, placed an order and waited an hour and a half, rang and was told it had just left the shop, rang another 35 mins later to be told they had lost my order, no offer of any kind of compensation, won’t be ordering again

First time in this branch and I must say the chips were lovely but as for the fish, very small. Looks like they cut a fish in half it was so thin and very dry. Could not taste vinegar at all. Watered down too much.

Ordered 2 chicken burgers tonight and they had barely any chicken in them, most of the burger was batter. Very disappointing, considing the chicken burgers used to be a decent size.

Got two breaded fish meal deals and there was half a fish in both of the meals £12.5 and you don't get a full fish that's ridiculous

Great food and service. Good outdoor seating for good weather. Very limited indoor seating but what do you expect for a 'take away' (the clue is in the name). Overall the best chippy in Bangor in my opinion.

Old style proper fish and chip shop, one of the best around

Such a nice chippy but the customer service is shocking. They mixed up our order which is fine, mistakes happen, which meant we’ve had to wait 2+ hours for our food. Rang to politely ask where our food was and the woman was rude and abruptly hung up the phone. It’s a shame since the food is nice, but the customer service would put you off ordering from them again.

The girl taking the order was not so pleasant. I asked for a well done fish to be told their cooked, on opening the fish it was not well done and full of grease. The onion rings and the chips were cold. Not a happy customer. I will not be back to the Bangor shop.

I have tried calling this place 19 times to cancel my order. It’s just a pathetic on hold music playing for 3 minutes then tells you to clear off!!! This is very disappointing that you can’t even answer a call!! You’ve just wasted making the food etc. absolute shambles.

Got a fish supper few days ago very slow service while I was waiting the server kept touching her hair and face them lifted my fish up from the chips to salt it with the same hand and the fish I returned back to the shop. As it was pure rubber I couldn’t eat it I contacted Stuart’s miller I’m still waiting on a refund so I won’t be going back ur staff need hygiene trained 11.50 binned

Terrible customer service!!! I literally called this my favourite chippy but not after tonight! Ordered on Bangor Eats app. Order came to nearly £20 with delivery!!!! Ordered a fish supper with cheese and gravy on the chips. Asked for the cheese and gravy on the chips in the request section. It arrived and there was a small tub of gravy separate. Both the fish and chips looked way over done and very dry. No biggy.. these things happen. Rang them to explain and she basically told me that’s not what I ordered and they wouldn’t rectify it and if I wanted a refund I would have to request it back from Bangor Eats!!! Absolutely shocking service. I won’t be back and would urge people to spend their money elsewhere!

Food just OK, when placing order which was a biggish order, to please put salt and vinegar on everything , I watched the girl put order together and put it in the bag having not seen her putting S&V on anything, I know it sounds picky but when your in the car and drive off to sit and eat and notice, the food is bland, let's be honest it's not great.... fish and chips just isn't fish and chips without S&V ... worst thing is I asked her straight away knowing she didn't only to be told she did ....! Busy shop, poor service , food hmmm just OK...

Decent chippy just be careful when ask for salt they nearly drown the chips in it. Chicken fillet burgers where good though

Please would you ask your customers if they want small or large chips? I didn't realise I was getting large chips. Your food is lovely but I have far too much and have to throw food out. Terrible waste.

Nice cod & scampi at reasonable prices

The fish was not fresh it was yellow and not withe but the chips were ok wood not go ther for fresh fish

I ordered a pitta filled with chicken, ,salad,and kebab sauce. This was at lunch time whilst the shop wasn't busy. I received my order after waiting at least 20 minutes, only to arrive home with a pitta bread and 2 slices of tomato ,I counted 4 thinly sliced mynute pieces of chicken .So very disappointed

First and last time using Millars. Food was delayed twice and took 2 hours to arrive. Gave them a call to cancel because it was taking so long but was told this would need to be done via JustEat. JustEat didn’t give this option so we called back saying we wouldn’t be here after 4pm. The girl was apologetic but why continue taking orders on JustEat if you are so far behind and not enough drivers on. Food arrived missing one item and an envelope containing £3 which I assume was to cover the missing item. Not once during the two times we called did Millars mention this item wouldn’t be delivered. Furthermore the item was more than £3. Just very poor. Chips were cold. Chicken burgers nice.

Every time I come back home, I have a takeaway from Millars, and their excellent consistency in great food never fails. I live in London, and there is not a fish and chip shop that compares, even the famous Poppies who also have Jack the chipper in Whitechapel.

Have to say, this chip shop has quickly become my favourite chippy in Bangor. Have to say, no matter what I get, the food is top quality and taste amazing. The staff are also very nice and polite, helpful if I have any questions. Definitely recommend if you’re a local or stopping by, do visit this lovely chippy

Ordered online for delivery in 45 minutes. 40 minutes later I received a cancellation email with no explanation. No answer when I tried calling. Won't be ordering again. Avoid.

ordered two cod supper two battered sausages and peas being honest it was the worst cod I have ever tasted it was very dry and half the size of what you normally get the peas had a strange taste and it ended up in the bin will never order from them again

Terrible, the people who work there literally forget everything as soon as you order. Forgot sauce and very, very little salt and vinegar. It's a chippy, if you skimp out on the essentials, give up. Could be a good place, just replace staff with people who have a memory! Also, what is with butterfly battered sausages? They are more enjoyable when whole! Kinda makes it look like the cooks can't cook a full sausage!

Absolutely blown away with the experience provided! One of the best chippys I've ever eaten at, staff were amazing, helpful and so friendly, prices were more than affordable and potion sizes were huge. Food was brilliant, no critiques. Will definitely be back next time im in Bagnor, the shop was so clean and felt fresh, a wonderful time.

Always good up until tonight. Ordered three things which took ages to be served. A cheeseburger meal that was tasteless and a kebab chip that was not in the bag I took home. I got some pitta alternative. A recognition that I had waited while others were in and out a lot quicker might have helped. No apology and the food was slammed on the counter that hard it almost toppled over. I'll not be back.

Got chicken burger meal last week lovely then got kids meal which was lovely also, it said it came with a toy on the board so kid was sad that he didn't get it. Went back to ask but was told we don't do that anymore, just a heads up to change that on the menu board to save sad faces.

Visited Millar's a few times (lunch time, eat in) on trips to Bangor and each time the food has been excellent. Great & flavourful curry sauce, and love the way they slice open the sausage lengthways so you get extra batter!

Order initially wrong, then the fish was extremely poor, very stodgy batter and not a lot of fish. Staff appear to be more interested in talking to each other.

Ordered two chicken Goujon suppers and the wrong meal was handed out. Had to go back with it and I was accused of lifting the wrong order and that if it happened again I would be charged double. Never have I felt so belittled when I did nothing wrong. Their customer service is none existent. Never will I set foot in there again.

EDIT: RESPONSE TO THE BELOW FROM MILLARS - Well nothing was mentioned over the phone about getting a refund from Just Eat. You straight out said "well we can't replace it". You were no help whatsoever and clearly didn't care. Your customer service skills are extremely lacking. Not even an apology!!! If the driver actually followed the instructions we wouldnt have this issue. As we stated, NO ONE rang the buzzer. Avoid this place! We ordered via just eat tonight, waited over an hour and then got a notification to say that our order was delivered! No such thing! Called the restaurant and was eventually told that they cannot replace the order as the delivery driver followed instructions. They clearly didnt as we had advised them to Ring the buzzer and THEN leave it at our door! We have a vulnerable person in our household so wanted a contactless delivery. Driver never rang the buzzer at all. Millers didnt seem to care at all. No apology and told no refund even though it was their mistake. Will never order from here again and will spread the word! Not at all customer friendly!

Have been in Millars a couple of times. I wouldn't call myself a regular but in the couple of times I've bought fish and chips from here it's been an enjoyable experience. No problem with the quality of the food. It was delicious. Service, considering how busy the place was, was very good. 👍

Collected 3 cod suppers at 6.30pm and brought to my home as I live nearby. Very disappointed in dry cod with indifferent batter. Certainly not as good as expected.

Really disappointed after hearing such good things. Ordered a haddock and a pastie supper. Haddock was tiny and overcooked the fish was so dry and the size was tiny . Looked like it was a scrap that had been sitting in a hot cabinet all day. Will not be back and will tell others.

Ordered from here for the 1st time via Ubereats. Arrived earlier that expected. Everything was cooked to perfection. Without a doubt the nicest chips I've ever had. Beats every other chippy hands down.

Millars fish & chips our great but the last few times the delivery has been very cold we our just over 1.4 miles from the shop has anyone else been having a problem with a cold delivery

One of Bangor's newer chippies but has certainly overtaken the Frying Squad as Bangor's best. Hefty queues at times but that's always a good sign!

Jeremy Stockton.....when a Customer asks for a chip well done then that is their personal preference...not every one takes milk in their tea or coffee not every one adds sugar to their tea or coffee either so that does not give you the right to tell a Customer how you feel how they should receive their chips....Millars is a good chip shop but without doubt The Frying Squad Chip Shop is the best chip shop in Bangor when you go to a chip shop and its sold out of produce it says a lot about how good a chip shop The Frying Squad is and when I ask for my chips to be well done I received them well done as requested...

Absolutely 5 star! I had the second time chicken kebab in pitta bread and I have to say it was very good quality Absolutely delicious. All fresh and cook nicely 👌 and the staff very friendly not expensive compared to other places!

Cod supper. Generous portion, lovely puece of fish, perfect crispy battwr, great chips. All in all very very good, and the staff were very pleasant. I wpyld definitely go here again.

Really like the food, what I don't like is being lied to and treated like an eejit... Phoned to place and order at just before 20:30, first was told couldn't take order, then they quickly turned round and said they could... 21:25 called to ask where the food was, and was told that delivery was attempted and they got no answer from the house or my mobile, which is not the case... No one came to the house or tried to ring, I spoke with a young lad called Ewen who was understanding...but asked if I could speak with the manager/owner.. I asked him to pass my number along to manager/owner which he agreed to do, but here we are, no phone call.. seems like 0 f**ks have been given about the incident...

Quality chips. Veggie burger was decent with a choice of toppings and pretty reasonable. Staff friendly. Nothing to complain about here.

Service was excellent and staff v friendly. I had battered cod but, despite the fact that I got it as soon as it was ready and drove the 2 miles home immediately, the batter was not even vaguely crispy which was disappointing.
