Hit and miss - I am writing from the viewpoint of a few people eating to. The chips are great - fish is always perfectly cooked - sausages are tasty- chicken burgers are okay but bap is awful- same with burger bap but burger is hard and tasteless and cheese is cheap and rubbery. Be careful what you order and you’ll probably enjoy

We (an American and an English) have spent 5 months touring Northern and Republic of Ireland and these were the best chips we had throughout this entire time. Even compared to some of the highly recommended coastal chippers we sampled on this Island. These were the nicest chips we have had. Not sure why the bad reviews.

Just ordered a large chip and when I got it home it was full of the scraps . If I had of wanted the bits in the bottom of the deep fat fryer I would have asked for them. Very disappointed but I live too far away to go back. This has been the last few times I've been in the service and food poor. No customer service any longer in this chippy. Will be swerving it from now on. Too many friendly, decent places to go in Carrick where the food is actually what you expect to get for what you pay.

Excellent!. Went at 8.30pm. Got a pastie supper. Salt and vinegar. Decided to walk there and back. 5 minutes to get there. Brought a bag to keep things warm. Totally super!!. Just like the old days. Went to the chippy and kept it warm by putting it inside your coat!!!!. And I'm 56. Recommended!!

Went to try as under new management,got a cod and gravy chip with onion rings it was absolutely delicious the gravy is tasty compared to other chippy gravy’s went back again today for more gravy chips,enjoyed the fish only one small critique is they use Chinese batter for the fish I prefer the proper flakey chippy batter but was still tasty will return again as the children now prefer the chips and gravy from this chippy ❤️

Me, my husband and parents went to the windrose between Christmas and New Years for dinner and I was disappointed by the food. It was our first time there since it reopened. I’m a vegetarian and didn’t have many options on the menu (1 starter and 1 main) which I was really disappointed in, and even the seemling vegetarian curry didn’t have the “V” next to it so I had to clarify if it was veggie or not. I ordered the curry which comes with rice but I ordered chips as well. Our order comes out and the waitress tells me that they ran out of rice so they gave me more chips… so I had a curry with an enormous amount of chips. If they had asked me what I’d like instead or told me they ran out of rice before I ordered then I would’ve tried to order something else and tried to adjust. I was really hoping the food would be better than before but even my husband said his stomach wasn’t okay the day after we went. One of our servers Beth, she was fantastic! Couldn’t fault her! But the overall experience wasn’t great for it being reopened.

Antrim StreetThis is situated at the back of the Carrickfergus civic and museum centre, and we came across it whilst making a brief stop for lunch before catching a ferry. Three of us opted for the Glasshouse no meat fry and it was absolutely delicious!! The soda and potato bread was especially good. The young man who served us was lovely and we were happy to have accidentally discovered this place and enjoy a great meal in a great space. Whilst here, we also popped in to the museum in the same building.

18A High St, Carrickfergus, BT38 7AF, United KingdomOrdered a taco chip when I got home and opened it. It was a chip with taco sauce even though it said on the website taco mine and jalapeños. When I rang up the person on the phone said they had ran out of mince. £7 for a chip with sauce disgrace!
