Great food but perhaps a little overpriced

Ordered it as takeaway. We've been many times but this Is the first time in a couple of months. Food is usually amazing. Was absolutely dreadful tonight and we were not amused considering the price. We got the mews combination starter. Meat extremely dry and everything was like it had been oven cooked from Iceland Both had mews special rice with duck and it was just tasteless. Wish we'd have gone elsewhere . Portion sizes left much to be desired.

This has always been our favourite restaurant in Poulton and we visit regularly since it first opened many years ago. The food has always been consistently good.However on the past two occasions when I have visited with friends it’s been dreadful. The first time you think you’ve just got the chef on a bad day , heavy handed with the soy sauce but last night was even worse. Both our meals were so salty, that was the only ingredient we could taste. We told the waiting on staff who said they inform the chef. I’m writing this to inform potential customers that the Mews under different ownership no longer delivers on flavour and taste. A great shame.

Visited on a Tuesday Night in January with 12 friends. Lovely to see that the restaurant was full, a sign that we were in for a good night. Food tasty, & reasonably priced. Will be visiting again.

Had 2 soups with prawns this is the best Thai we have had in.many years now we will go visit the restaurant for a full meal thank you mews thai

Ordered 4 meals and got 3. Expensive and to only get a part of your order is disappointing. Shouldn’t be difficult to deliver 4 meals. Had to share the food across 4 people. Not reliable. Spoiled birthday evening and they just say sorry. ☹️☹️☹️

I love the mews. Wife and I joke about 'our last meal' It's the mews. Lovely people that remember you and are willing to tweek menu items to your desires. Cant recommend highly enough.

This is the second time we have had a take away from here. The food is ok but the first time they left the prawn cracker and dips off the order and this time they left the dips off. I ordered chicken satay stick to start and they should come with a peanut dipping pot but it didn’t come so they were very dry. The sweet chilli dips with the prawn crackers didn’t come either. We spent £86 on the order for a few of us and it was really disappointing not to get the bits that complete the dish.

Food was excellent. New trainee learning the ropes and a couple of mistakes but easily forgiven. Been a while since we've been here and the food is always flavoursome.

I’m leaving this review to strongly recommend not using just eat as a delivery service with this restaurant. My friend and I ordered food last evening and items were missing, following a call to the restaurant who would not take responsibility for the missing items to take it up with just eat! They were no help so we contacted the restaurant again and they were dismissive and not helpful whatsoever!! We are left with missing food from our order and out of pocket..

I have visited Mews for years and loved it only to try and order at home via Just Eat tonight for the first time. Part of my order was missing and I rang the Mews only to be told that it’s not their problem as I used a third party and that I should contact them . I contacted Just Eat and it’s impossible to actually get any help so I rang back to the Mews trying to get some help from the place I ordered hoping they’d help, upset and frustrated as all I wanted to do was relax and enjoy my meal I tried to explain the issue that food I’d order and paid for was missing. The woman I spoke to clearly didn’t care in the slightest that I was upset and frustrated that no one would help with my missing items and was fobbing me off completely . Told me that the driver should have checked the bag and that it’s not their problem. Upset and frustrated at her lack of giving any type help as they had failed to pack the bag with what I had paid for she tells me not to raise my voice at her, and it’s not there problem. Well thank you Mews for your excellent customer service tonight and showing us you really don’t give a monkeys! Massively disappointed with somewhere I’ve spent a lot of money in over many years.

I’m a vegetarian and I stated NO MEAT in the comments to which it got delivered and was covered in prawns and chicken!

Just arrived up north from London to visit family,my son wanted to go for a mixed grill, but after travelling I fancied something light so ended up here,bell was fantastic really nice lady, food was excellent and great prices compared to down south,had a great meal with great service thanks bell hope to catch up again x

I have eaten in the restaurant once before about 18 months ago and loved it. Not had change to go back so decided to order as a takeaway and I was not disappointed! Absolutely delicious lots of flavour no grease. Would order again!

ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS ! WE WENT WITH THE FAMILY AND EVEN TNE KIDS AGED 7 & 10 GOT STUCK IN. THEY ESPECIALLY LOVED THE THAI DUMPLINGS & KING PRAWN NOODLES. I REALLY DO RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.

We enjoyed an excellent meal here this evening. Great service and timing. We were particularly impressed with the fresh vegetables and the different flavours in every dish. If you love heat, order the Jungle Curry- you’ll need a cold shower afterwards! Very generous servings and reasonable prices. Highly recommended.

Fantastic food that blew us away. The best we've had in a while and definitely the best in Poulton. Sweet and sour flavours with all the fresh vegetables are 10/10. Will definitely order again and go in the restaurant next time to sit in

Mid-week trip and arrived to it being fairly busy downstairs so we had a table upstairs for which we were the first up there however the waitress did say we wouldn't be the last up tonight. Served promptly for drinks and the waitress was helpful and knowledgeable about the menu to guide us to a starter. Enjoyed the starter, enough of it and was presented well and tasted good. Main meals arrived and same as before were presented well and they tasted great. Savoured the last few mouthfuls and finished a glass of wine. All-in-all a great meal and wouldn't hesitate to return !

Not great, it was a saturday night and not busy. The two young lads serving did not have a clue, we asked questions and they kept saying 'errrm i dont know', did not ask other staff or chef about questions asked. Starters was ok, mains got brought out whilst we were eating our mains.. Food was ok but had bad stomach for the last 2 days.... i would avoid,

very disappointing . Food was very good but the experience was very poor. I was told to sit anywhere handed a menu and sat at a table that had no cutlery. No atmosphere . We felt like we were sitting in a cafe and we had to go and,ask if there was a desert menu. Not a pleasurable experience. We might just have ordered takeaway. We will not revisit. toilets inadequate.

Good food, confused staff. Dumplings are not shown on the menu to be spicy, but they were .I have asked for a coffee, and I was told they don't have coffee .

Party visited early March in a group. Advised by establishment to have set menu for larger parties which was restrictive but a £25 tag. One party had specific diet/gluten allergy and was still served wrong dish. Staff luckily recognised mistake minutes later. Some of the dishes were absolutely delicious, but due to the groups size, the small bowls barely amounted to a distribution of the variety offered by the set menu. Rice bowls were small and were not sufficient between the four people per table. Felt like profit was the priority of the set menu and minimal food offered per head. The drinks were also unbelievably expensive. Staff rushed us through as they wanted tables back by a certain time, however they were slow at delivering the meal. This explains the use of the set menu for larger groups. The turnover would have been slower if we were allowed choice. Feel like is not the place it used to be years ago nor warm and welcoming to groups. Groups should avoid busy times or perhaps go elsewhere. I would revisit this as a single table.

We have been her a few times and never been disappointed, this meal was very good, it was a birthday meal, very enjoyable.

Table for 9 people, very poor service from the staff with no apology. Service was very slow and when asked for prawn crackers whilst waiting we were rudely informed that they would be added to our bill. Nearly a one and a half hours after our starters the main course still hadn’t arrived, so we decided to leave. What food we did have was nice.

Sorry but one of the worst experiences of my life, waited 50 minutes for my starter to arrive. And they missed the starter out an served my main. This was a special occasion and totally ruined the evening. The service is so poor too busy serving takeouts. Decided to walk out just paying for the drinks. A good restaurant that has lost its way.

Helps to switch on an answer machine when closed for any length of time. Wastes customers time constany calling only to find out they are away for two weeks! Otherwise must have Thai Food!

Food was good although service was a little slow. Pointed out a cracked glass that we had used but not noticed - no apology received which probably wouldn't bother me until we were asked to leave as they were 'turning the tables' and a large party were waiting. Rude.

Having our purchased shift set from Dani's other business - Salt of the Earth - and was so impressed I wanted try the well reviewed Thai Mews se also runs. Amazing - well beyond expectations which were quite high as the restaurant came highly recommended Really good food and lovely service - very impressed indeed

We’ve been coming to this restaurant for over 20 years and it was one of my favourites. The food has always been exceptional. Sadly it is now under new ownership and the food is at best average. The restaurant used to always be packed and on a sunny Friday evening the upstairs was totally empty. The menu has significantly reduced in size, it no longer feels authentic and we could hear the pinging of a microwave coming from the kitchen. We fed-back our views to the waitress, who was lovely, and disappeared to tell the manager/chef but no one came to speak to us. Really sad to see what was a fabulous restaurant turn mediocre.

A cold and wet Tuesday night after a business meeting in Fleetwood doesn’t have many options for a decent meal so we decided to try Poulton and gave The Mews a call. Fortunately they were able to fit us in as two people were just finishing, and the sight of a full restaurant on a foul night early in the week was really encouraging. Everything about our meal was great. Friendly and efficient service and tasty and well presented food. We had plenty to eat and with drinks, although not many, the bill was only £50. Would definitely come back here again

It was a busy Saturday night. Our starters came in good time but then we waited well over an hour and a half for our mains. There was little reassurance from the staff about the length of time it was taking. 2 tables left without eating as they were tired of waiting. The starters were ok but the mains were very disappointing. Thai food is usually bursting with flavour but this was pretty bland and totally underwhelming. It was a terrible shame as I had been told that the food here was amazing. Not tonight. I won't be spending my hard earned cash here again. I booked our table for 7.30pm but we weren't eating our mains until 10pm.

Booked a table for 2 @ 7:30 online for valentines night. Called by half an hour in advance to check everything was ok and running on time , we were informed yes no problem. On returning at the correct time the downstairs was full with a crowd of customers waiting at the booking area. It was obvious they were overbooked , very little staff and looked chaotic. We eventually got sat upstairs when I asked how long it might take to order and then receive food.. all I repeatedly got was... we are very very busy. It was clear hardly anyone was eating , clearly they do not have a full up / stop facility on their booking system , on top of this they were massively understaffed. We decided to leave as we felt it would take far too long to wait. Chaotic , under staffed & poorly managed. We have eaten here several times and the food has always been amazing therefore we will definitely eat here again but will visit at quieter times and definitely not using the online booking system. Please change your booking system and help the staff out by employing more of them.

I had a great time with my friends for my birthday and the restaurant prepared a nice table with glitter and balloons for me. God! Great food we ordered 3 dishes pat kapow Panang curry and Tom yum Ordered in Tha language as I wanted to practice it I was also with my Thai wife drinking Thai beer the waitress knew I had previously lived in Thailand Sadly the Tom yum wasn't half as spicy as it should be when I complained I was told it was my fault I should said Thai style

The restaurant is very nice, clean and spacious. Lots of space inside. A good menu choice. Nice wine but slightly over priced. Starters also quite expensive. The main meals tasted good but very small portions. Wouldn't fill the average guy. Only ice cream for dessert a bit disappointing. Coffee machine broken so no coffee available. Hopefully will be mended in the future. Staff all fine. Overall okay meal.

Visited with family for a birthday celebration on 7/1/23 and left feeling utterly underwhelmed. The staff do work hard but little to none communication regarding our food. Hour and half for starters and an additional hour wait for our mains. I can appreciate it’s a busy Saturday night but no cares given when we have expressed our concerns about the wait time. Food was nice but 100% will not be visiting here again. 2& 1/2 hours for a 2 course meal is absolutely ridiculous!

Perfect as usual. We haven't been for quite some time. But we can certainly say that it's a long way to go to eat . But its well worth it

In an alleyway in one of the oldest buildings in Poulton-le-Fylde lies a hidden gem of a restaurant. Wonderful food (the best Thai food we have had in the UK) and good atmosphere. Went with 2 couples when visiting the area. One couple live in Blackpool and have been there a number of times and rate it highly stating "the food is always this good".

Group of 9 had an amazing night with first class food. Highly recommend and can not wait to return again.

Went here on Sunday evening. Easy to book online and lovely greeting on arrival. We had our meals from the early bird menu. So much choice for starters, it was hard which to have! My husband had the ribs and I had the pork toasties. Absolutely gorgeous food. For main I had chicken sweet and sour with egg fried rice, my husband had a chicken garlic dish with steamed rice. Very generous portions with fresh vegetables and well presented. We really enjoyed all our food and would definitely recommend.

I love this place, it has the best Red Thai Curry outside of Thailand, hands down - and I've tried a fair few in my time!! The service was a bit slow tonight. And my mum's Dessert, the Mochi balls were pretty horrid, otherwise it'd be a 5* review every time. Cute and cosy, the Thai food is exceptional and the staff are lovely. Highly recommended

Visited Poulton-le-Fylde for the visit time after all the restrictions. Wanted something to eat and Mews was perfect. Great service, great traditional Thai food. Will visit again soon.
