Mcdonalds Restaurants in Merthyr Tydfil

Sienna bery put to much salt on my chips and kept talking about my friend with her workers and was being vile fire her!!!!!!!

I do not want to be writing this review but feel like it is deserved after the shocking service we have received at one of your restaurants. We order from McDonald’s other stores quite a lot and it is the first time ordering from this one. It was 12:30 am and we ordered and there was a store full of people only one young lady who was just laughing with customers who she knew and everyone can see the food pilling up and no orders being given out then she starts bagging up some orders we are order 17 and orders go out right the way up to order 30 and we still haven’t received any food 35 minutes after ordering. The order is giving to us and the food is stone cold as it has been sat where we can see for the last half hour. We asked for another lot of food and our money back the lady gives us the money out of the till and goes into the back laughing with other staff members we then queried after another 10 minutes wait where our food was and she replies with a stinking attitude that it was either a refund or our food and we wanted a refund so we had waited an hour at this point to be told there was no food so we had wasted and hour of our time we asked to then speak to the manager who had be giggling like immature children with the other staff as she thought it was very funny we had an issue with the service she said we could order our food and pay again and she could give us some vouchers and not any free food or anything. So we did and waited another 20 minutes for the food to come out with salad on when the original order specifically said no salad and we had reminded before placing order. The woman refused to give us her name and we pointed at that we are glad she found it funny we had wasted an hour and half of our time and said she wasn’t laughing when colleagues where visible at that time in the back laughing and even making remarks like “it’s okay to have a laugh in work you know” we didn’t expect 5* food or instant food but a little bit of respect I think it needs to be taken into consideration what we are saying I believe Leah is the manager and I’m not sure on the name of the lady on the till but reading through other google review doesn’t seem like the first time there was also another couple that had been waiting over 40 minutes and hadn’t had there order taken.

Came after swimming for lunch. Food was fresh and they helped my daughter to colour and use the ipads with the games :) love coming here

Absolutely shocking!! We pulled up to order and they ignored us for 10mins!! I work in a McDonalds so I’m all for being busy and trying your best, but after I attempted to speak to them a few times and still no reply I decided to drive through to the payment window where we ordered a grilled wrap of the day with no sauce. We originally were handed drinks when we didn’t order any, then we were asked to park up, as we expected. Then we waited another 10mins outside waiting only for the wrap to not only be crispy chicken but also it had mayo in it! I went in and got it changed, but this time it was grilled chicken and mayo!! This is a joke, it’s not acceptable. I understand normal human error, but to ignore someone for 10mins and then blatantly ignore what I asked for 3 TIMES!! I will never go here again and I will not be recommending this place to anyone else I know!!

My family and I (2A & 2C) stopped here on the way home from shopping at the retail park. The ques here were less that the McDonald's around the corner. There was however lot of cars parked up and this made it difficult when we needed to park up to wait for food. The food was ok. It wasn't the hottest and we didn't get any sauces we asked for. Also a few things were not available. Overall it's not the worst but it's not the best either. Doubt I'd return .

Greeted out side told how to do track & trace Hand sanitiser on the way In directed to a table that had been sanitised Contactless order & payment Take a seat and your food is brought over to you, all staff had masks on, I felt safer here than anywhere else I’ve been since looked down been lifted. Well done McDonald’s!!

I went to this outlet and was in a bit of a stressful situation but Rhys one of your staff was so polite helpful and patient helping m with my order ! I really can’t commend him enough what a polite young man he was

Popped in to McDonald's at 23.15 starving after a care shift. Set up all different now, and I didn't have a clue how to use order machine. Girl patiently went through it with me, so I knew for next time. Order completed quickly. Very stress free after a long day.

First impressions weren't great as this McDonald's is near to the skate park and empty car parks. So a great gathering place for the local teenagers...But don't be put off. We went as a family and were soon impressed with the front of house McDonald's lady called Deb. She kept the teenagers in check and following the Covid restrictions that McDonalds has in place. Food was great and we enjoyed our meal. Be patient due to Covid safety restrictions as numbers restricted and extra cleaning. Also restricted menu. Deb was very helpful and we had a pleasant visit. Keep safe.

Disgusting food, stone cold, chips undercooked, burger cold slop. Will not visit again. Drive through service quick but food absolutely dreadful!!

Worst McDonald’s in Wales! Rude immature staff, very dirty tables, burnt food,waiting times10-20mins, and wrong food every time no decent management avoid this place even if desperate!

Went to this McDonalds at 12.05am after finishing work late only to be told that systems were updating and couldn't be served for the next half hour...returned at 1am only to be told exactly the same thing by the same chap.At least 10 cars were turned away around the same time as myself...I think staff need to at least get these facts right..and I think mcdonalds need to look hard at the times they update their systems..maybe 3 or 4am would be a better time

Went here for breakfast, to be told it was finished, although when we checked we were in time, gave another selection but the cashier disappeared!! Reversed went elsewhere. We went to cyfartha retail. Tidy there.

Have been here a few times and although the food was fine the cleaners are some of the laziest. Just standing around looking busy, it wasn't that busy there and the tables looked like they hadn't been wiped all day. Not good!

Very disappointed .. came with 4 children ... no mcflurry ice-cream , no doughnuts or cookies .... The young boy serving told me 'not his problem !' when I said the children were disappointed !!! Terrible customer service .... Won't be returning !!

Would not recommend. Every time I go, they mess up my order. They don’t listen,and I find that the customer service is terrible.

why do i always have to wait 15 to 25 mins for this this is every time!!!!.the staff say sorry for your wait but it's not good enough. won't be going there again.

Attended McDonalds tonight with friends - I ordered 4 meals two of which where "Big Mac only cheese extra cheese". I returned home to find that both Big Macs only had cheese in them no meat- to my annoyance I then had to return to the store to resolve this.On return Gethyn found this matter hysterical, sniggering at the fact I had no patty in my burger.Not only was this annoying at the fact I had to return I also found this belittling - I then drove to the bottom window and tried to explain the situation to a tall, slim, blonde manager who's name I did not manage to get who behaved as if he did not have the time of day for me and that he could not be bothered to listen to the behaviour he just wanted to get us from there by replacing this. I did appreciate the replacement however feel the inconvience caused and behaviour from staff was appalling and I will not be returning to this restaurant again. Came here before cinema to a imature staff felt they were undertrained burger when finally served was stone cold won't be returning shocking

Visited for convenience only as we had just finished the Pen y Fan walk and were hungry and a tad wet. What a mistake. I ordered the Italian Stack meal with coffee. The other order was chicken burger meal with milk shake. The Stack bun was literally stuck top and bottom to the box. It had to be prised out leaving behind half of the bun attached to the box. The contents appeared to have been arranged by a visually impaired person bouncing on a trampoline. It was a mess and the lettuce was soggy. It bore no resemblance to the glossy photo displayed on the menu board. The fries for both meals were luke warm and my coffee had no taste. Very watered down. The chicken burger was dry. On the plus side the shake was good but hardly makes up for the other rubbish. We were too tired to complain although having only just read some of the reviews it would have been pointless. Avoid this place even if desperate.

Haven’t been to McDonald’s for years & now I know why, since when do u have to wait 22mins for food in McDonald’s I thought they were a fast food chain

Went to McDonald's drive through the other day with the family, I had a wrap which had one piece of chicken in it? Normally there is 2 so the rest of the wrap was pretty much lettuce and the lettuce had brown bits on it as if it was gone off also a little bit of darling mayo at the top of the wrap, my 4 year old niece had a cheese burger happy meal, she ate a little bit and said she didn't want the rest which we thought was weird as she's obsessed with them, my dad then tried it and we realised it was pretty much charcoal.

I visit this branch quite often due to working nearby. I have had too many poor experiences to list them on here. I feel like this McDonald's is everything a McDonald's restaurant shouldn't be and not what you expect.

Estoy casado a un ex chef así el uso de determinadas normas después de muchos años. Comida rápida o restaurantes deben cumplir con los mismos estándares. McD ha perfeccionado este negocio durante muchos años. Sin duda el rey de la comida rápida y en tutoriales. La única queja que tengo basado en algunos años si uso aleatorio es la temperatura. Ahora y de nuevo, la comida no está lo suficientemente caliente, sentados alrededor de demasiado largo. Soy muy exigente, pero en general el producto es de alto nivel. Siempre estoy impresionado con la higiene personal, limpieza, constantemente bien dirigido. Siempre muy concurrido, muy popular. Esto indica una sucursal con éxito de McD. Recientemente esta rama ha sufrido una importante actualización de terminales de autoservicio colocar pedir. Ahora uso estos yo y es más fácil, muy eficiente y oye presto la comida tan lejos ha llegado caliente. Espero que el nuevo sistema ha superado este problema de servir productos tibio. Ahora soy 70 y encontrar los terminales de pantalla táctil súper fácil de usar si paga con tarjeta. Mis 5 puntos está basada en esta última actualización. Sinceramente no puedo quejarme. Bien hecho de la gerencia. Un último punto el personal siempre nos pareció servicial y educado.

Fui a McDonald's para esta mañana una llevar avena. En pedir el "porridge" cuando fui a la unidad a través de servicio me dio un café. Aparece el orden era poner en mal!

Staff in McDonald's are so rude 'CHEEKY' the manger should give them the sack food is never right and when you tell them there being rude .!!!

went here late lastnight, as the mcdonald monopoly is on i baught a chicken legend meal and a mcflurry in order to have the stickers. however my meal was given to me without the stickers. i went up an asked the blonde girl with black glasses where are my stickers and she said they ran out, which isnt acceptable for if i knew that i would have just had a mayo chicken i wanted the stickers ate all this fatty food for no reason and paid more money i was really angry. anyway she was lying because my freinds had stickers and i could see the tape of stickers on top of the cabinet behind her so i went back up to order my mcflurry and she was completly ignoring me for about 15 minites i stood there and she blanked me out completely she was very rude wish i had her name now. so aventually someone from behind came to serve me. she was so moody i did not like her she made the place feel terrible to be in she will end up turning customers away alone. she was also miserable to the next customers shouting at them HELLO? Next she was just so rude and mouthy really put me off going here now. she wasnt appologetic about the stickers either she couldnt have cared less. also my mayo chicken which was a side was burnt to a crisp and my freinds mcflurry was running everywhere where she had pored it in all over the sides. she needs to go wish i took her name but she was useless.

Pedir la comida a través de la zona, el personal era amable, y llegó con bastante rapidez en la justicia. Pero las que la comida no estaba a buen nivel. Patatas fritas frías empapadas, las bebidas estaban aguados y no gusto de nada. Las hamburguesas eran terribles, muy sosa y fría.

Muy tranquilo pero aún así me orden equivocada, y algunas cosas no solo de un error. Esperar bastante para la comida, así que pensé "genial, será fresco y Que equivocado estaba! ! Degustación de patatas fritas rancias, pasada burger y plana coca cola. Asqueroso.

Went through drive through - food was cold , bland .Strawberry Milk Shake no taste Fries were scant Removed salad as it was slushie.Rang and complained - told complaint would be in the book and we could have free replacement next time we went - this didnt happen as the staff couldn't find it .We had big Mac and fries drinks - I had milkshake my husband has diet coke

Must be the worst McDonalds I have ever been to! They got(what looks like)300 people working there, the day we were there 2 people on the till and the queue was back to the door, not one attempt by any other member of staff was made to open up a till when they could obviously see how busy they were,too many youngsters messing around and chatting rather than working! Would have to be really desperate to visit this McDonalds again!

Can't believe this place will not put tomato sauce on burgers. They refuse. When a customer requests and pays for something you do it. Even head office ignore emails. Awful way to run a business

I took my 10 yr old son for a treat shopping and burger afterwards for being good at school. Lovely young girl served me. Lovely food but as soon as I returned with our food and sat down the cleaner a middle aged woman with glasses came up to my son snd told him abruptly "can u get Ur shoes off the seats". I looked under the table to see him tying his shoelaces. He wasn't jumping over the furniture or messing around he was tying his laces. My son was very upset to be told off so abruptly and rather than cause a scene we left our food and went home.Thought McDonald's was supposed to be child friendly. Won't be bac. Rather go up retail park much friendly reception .

Great place, good food at affordable prices . Very friendly staff always eager to help in anyway. Children love visiting here.

An early start where can you go for breakfast Mcdonalds of course.This one is open 24/7 so great for the late night reveller or the early bird.

We stopped for breakfast and in traditional golden arches fashion breakfast was delivered quick as a flash - hot and tasty.

This is my fav Mcdonalds. I eat here every week as the food is always decent and price remains cheap.

I popped in to the Macs in Merthyr on the way south from the Brecons. It was primarily a toilet stop. I have two young children in wheelchairs and I needed to take them both to the toilet.A very helpful member of staff came out and waiting with each child as I took the other child in to the loo. She chatted with them nicely and kept them entertained.Unfortunately I didn't get her name, but whoever you are, thank you.

On my most recent visit to this particular McDonald's I found it to be clean. There we sufficient staff on board so I didn't have to wait too long despite a queue.

Clean, fresh and food was well presented. Ok, seems crazy to review and franchise but this franchise and Merthyr retail park is really well run. No litter, no over flowing bins and all round clean place. Credit to the management.

.Rushed, not very friendly, sat outside which was the best bit as the sun was shining, lots of money for not such great food, kids liked the Happy meal. If we didn't have the kids we wouldn't have gone.

Visited this Mcdonalds Drive in , in June of this year. It is a very handy drive through, for a meal, if you've been out for the day as we had & were feeling hungry, but didn't want a sit down meal in a restaurant! Also you can have what you want & is very reasonably priced. Will visit again!

Table was sticky.. asked if it could be cleaned and was handed a cloth with a big Tut and she carried on chatting to her friend..

open 24 hours...ideal when you stagger from a near by bar in the early hours and feeling peckish. What can i say about the food....fab when drunk and hungry.

Travelodge really don't do breakfast there are other places to eat breakfast but we found mcdonalds easier

Its just your average typical McDonald. You either love them or hate them. This is certainly a useful place to eat if you believe in any port in a storm.

My children always request a Mcd's on the weekend. My daughter like's a Big Mac without the onions, and no sauce, my son like's a totally plain Big Mac. Everytime I order, they get it wrong. I check the bag before leaving, on the two special request burgers they always have a sticker saying 'No Cheese' or 'Plain'.I drive home, and every-time the order is wrong, and i have to drive all the way back..... I have complained numerous times, but still the mistake's go on.SO ANNOYING

We stopped as a family and ate in the restaurant. Although busy it was clean and tidy. My Husband and I had the festive burger which was tasty and filling. My daughters opted for their favourites - veggie wrap and Big Mac. The service was efficient and friendly. No complaints.
