Drive thru order always missing food. All staff on their phones (including manager). Also language between staff is atrocious which was easily heard from inside car at drive thru window.

I love the mcdonalds food but they nearly always get the order wrong when we order as a family. We order 6 meals and nearly every time they forget a whole meal. The staff are about 50/50 nice and polite but some of them aren't. Inside the building is kid friendly and has plenty of seats for families. They have easy-to-use touch screens to order food and drink. The food is quite nice despite the fact that it lacks in quality most of the time. Sometimes they add stuff on a burger that you specifically said not to or give you 1 less chicken nugget which is sometimes just a mere mistake but other times im not so sure. Usually if you order inside it doesn't take too long to arrive although it does take longer in the drive through depending on the time and how busy it is.

Awful, the music so loud you couldn't hear the person sitting next to you speak. The music also was this modern bang bang thump thump, so ate way too quickly just to get out Food hot and fresh, however I'd swear my burger tastes of gurkin, even though I asked for none, I think they just took it out rather than cook fresh

Says its open and i get my girlfriend a big order to find out they close at 12 on the weekends yet it says its still open what a joke never ordering from there again scummy company

Called this morning and got a double sausage egg McMuffin got home and almost Half of a muffin was missing so i returned it the young girl at the window was very polite What looked like a manager was standing beside her on her phone i explained to the young girl what was wrong with it then the so called manager looked at it and said WHATS WRONG WITH IT i told her to have a look at it half of the muffin was missing she looked at it and said I’ll get you another one very cheekily CARRICKFERGUS McDonald’s your food stinks

Called in to night. Ordered through ap. On way out thought better check order, of course got someone else’s. Parked car and when I went in produced my order without me saying anything. Not a sorry or apology. Was there on Sunday ordered lates. Thought they felt very light, back home removed lid and was less than half a cup of coffee and disappearing froth.An expensive coffee. Will alway take time & check orders at window in future, if I go back again.

Never got my McFlurry or mozzarella bites complete rip off waisted about £4 by not getting them things absolute descrase,terrible service

We call in for a bit of lunch. Service was fast. But both Big Mac and fries were cold and not eaten had to throw them away…………

I buy takeaway coffee from the McDonalds in Carrickfergus quite often. The staff are lovely and the coffee is great. Any time we buy food it is always fresh and hot.

again I go through the drive through and they can not get the order correct. when I order a quarter pounder with cheese only i do not expect sauce and onions on it. food wasted again

Fast delivery and courteous staff

Drive through is too slow. Apple pie deserts are very rarely ready so 8 minutes is then added to the slow drive through times.

Went on to order on the app, picked a strawberry frozen lemonade, was so excited and when confirming the order it said ‘temporarily Unavailable’ I went to order some other frozen drinks such and the milkshakes and frappe all unavailable, so I went to order an oasis and again unavailable. Went back the next week and all same things were unavailable and it’s been like this for over a month now!!!!

This place is freezing cold... Ive been a few times to this Macdonalds carrickfergus and it has been the worst experience so far in any Macdonalds Ive been. It was 6 degrees outside and the aircon was full blast. I asked the employee why is so cold inside and he responded me that the staff we're warm because they were moving, and I could always put a jacket on... Like what!!!! The food was cold not even 5 minutes because of the aircon. I think this unacceptable and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

Food absolutely freezing cold inedible and as usual they didn’t put sauces, straws etc. All in bin. Waste of time and money. Will never order again from here.

GOOD SERVICE, BUT... I'm happy to report that they don't prioritise delivery orders over the paying customers inside the restaurant itself. The food came out quickly enough. However, due to the price rises and the fact that the food is physically getting smaller, I can't award it the full 5 stars. Good as far as McDonald's is concerned, but indicative of how poor value McDonald's is becoming in this day and age.

3 days after an equally bad experience I thought I’d give McD another try. I thought maybe I hadn’t explained my needs clearly enough, so I tried again. I have just submitted feedback to mcfoodforthought based on both visits. You can go into your system and look it up. I asked for a freshly cooked meal. The staff member explained that all meals are freshly cooked. I commented that this was not my experience In fact, see my Tripadvisor review dated 2018 - that was the last time I visited - 6 years ago / because I was so fed up with the consistently bad and cold food!!!! The staff member assured me that my food would be freshly cooked. But …. She added, as if it were a threat, you might have to park and wait for it ! I agreed, and added that I had asked for fresh food the other day, but hadn’t been asked to wait. So, I pressed start on my timer, and went to pay. I paid, I went to the collection window, but after a mere 2 minutes 18 seconds, my entire meal was waiting for me! Wow! 2 mins and 18 seconds to freshly cook a burger, chips and pour a drink. The chips were hot, but not fresh - you can always tell they aren’t freshly cooked when the insides are a bit gooey. And then the burger. The warning signals of a heat lamp burger are: 1 the bun was as warm as the burger 2 the onions, gherkins, ketchup etc were as warm as the burger. 3 the cheese is over melted, but the corners have started to congeal and lift. 4 the meat is losing moisture and feels slightly leathery. In this case, it really felt as if the burger had been popped in a microwave to warm it through. Not pleasant. Not fresh. Not truthful!!! That the staff member outright lied to me is really unacceptable. Shocking, but ….. not unexpected. But lying? Deceit? New low, McDonalds !

My granddaughter loves the happy meals and I'm particular to a wee wrap as well. Happy family!

Food is good if you get what you ask for. Food will either be missing or not what was requested. No doughnut this time, missing fries numerous times, cheese on a requested plain muffin, egg on requested plain muffins. I'm tired of complaining now.

We ordered from Carrickfergus McDonalds on Thursday night at 4:15pm just for quickness after a busy day... big mistake!! First of all the delivery time changed by 1 hr just before it was due to arrive and then was another 30 mins late. Delivery guy phoned us at 6:45 lost, didn't know where we lived, we had to go out looking for him found him wandering about in the next street totally lost. Needless to say he'd put the cold drinks in the warm food bag for carrying and food was cold. After a brief exchange at the door we realised he couldn't understand what we were trying to say..to take food back its cold.. and he was speaking in very broken English that we couldn't understand eventually getting nowhere with this poor man we took food of him and my husband too it back himself. The papper bag had been opened or dropped food boxes were also open and thats the reason we didn't want to a accept them at the door. Husband brought back new order almost cold too no APOLOGIES from restaurant just to say they have nothing to do with the order once it leaves the store..IS THAT TRUE McDONALDS NO RESPONSIBILITY £24 OUT IF POCKETas second lot of food was also cold.

First machine not working, original choice of drink not available, recipe machine not working, didn't tell us are order number. No paper cups for the sauce dispenser. How ever !! Our order was complete and tasty. and the staff where helpful.

Enjoy this place... Always kept clean... Staff very friendly and helpful.. The only annoying thing.. Which I seen for myself...able body Delivery drivers parking in the 2 only disable parking bays When there was other spaces available in the car park .. Parking up.. Getting there delivery bags out of there delivery cars.. And disabled drivers.. Either having to wait til they come out to obtain the space. Or having to park further away from the shop and trying to walk the longer distance...or queue up and go through the drive thru..

Terrible will not be back ordered here a few times and they mess up orders I’ve been given the wrong order by them countless times now so I won’t be back here again messed up a kids happy meal twice and just got given a small chip and a burger after ordering two Big Mac meals and a frappe and a PLAIN BURGER HAPPY MEAL which they managed to mess up 3 times and the staff were rude about it aswell

I'm not in here very often, but when I am, the staff go out of their way to make sure I'm happy with everything. The only reason the food category got four instead of five, is that I can only drink decaf coffee, and I can't get it here!!! Fab manager, fab staff. Thank you!!

Weeks with a broken ice machine! Hottest day of the year I am currently enjoying a warm Diet Coke! Maybe if McDonalds were a Worldwide Global Billion Dollar Corporation they would have the means to have repairs actioned in a timely manner... ice machine was broken for months last year, then was fixed, now is broken again.... yes I know this is a rant over ice but really it's not good enough McDonalds!

Everytime we go through the drive thru we don't get all of our order, usually it is a burger missing. We usually check for everything but I was told tonight everything was in the bags when I started to look and so took it home to find 1 double quarter pounder burger missing that was for my nephew. If you go to the drive through here make sure to double check your bags when you get them because this happens all the time!

Disappointing Experience at Carrickfergus McDonald's Date of Visit: May 21, early morning (around 1:00 AM) I rarely feel the need to write reviews, but my recent visit to the Carrickfergus McDonald's drive-through has compelled me to share my experience. My pregnant wife and I stopped by for a late-night meal, ordering two meals in total. When we reached the collection point, I asked for two curry sauces, a reasonable request given the number of meals we purchased. To our surprise, we only received one. Upon inquiring, the staff member at the counter informed us that additional sauces would cost 10p each. This left us both puzzled and disappointed. Is it standard policy for customers who order multiple meals to share a single sauce? This policy seems rather unfair and does not align with customer expectations. Furthermore, the diet coke I received was completely flat, rendering it practically undrinkable. This added to our growing frustration, particularly as we were expecting a pleasant dining experience. To top off this less than satisfactory visit, the staff member who served us giggled and laughed as we drove away. This showed a complete lack of professionalism and respect for customers. This experience was a stark departure from the usually dependable service we have come to expect from McDonald's. The inadequate service and subpar food quality, coupled with the inappropriate staff behavior, left a bad taste in our mouths (quite literally). I sincerely hope that this was a one-off incident and not a reflection of the general standard of service at this branch. Management should address these issues promptly to ensure that all customers receive the courteous service and quality products they expect from a globally recognized brand like McDonald's. Toilets wer filthy and smelly... Staff standing with hands in ther pockets and a member of staff was brushing the floor with an old witches broom and dust going everywer....

Ridiculous, took over 2 hours to complete a simple order and when I eventually cancelled it I found out I can't even get a refund. Also they never pick up their phone so it's impossible to talk to someone about it without going down.

If I could give less I would. I ordered and it was all going good, said it would arrive in under an hour... Except the time kept bumping forward and forward. 2 hours later I just cancelled it. Very bad service! Can't even get a refund from them!

Everything would be fine, but every time I receive an order missing one or more items. I paid money for it and I don't receive the full order. If it happened once or twice, everything is OK, but it happens all the time and I order every week.

Ballygomartin McDonald's is by far the worst McDonald's in Belfast. Never anything ready, go and park in one of the bays is their war cry. Staff are not trained properly and the chef must be serving his time at woodwork or counting sheep. Orders always wrong.

Forget the burger so only got fries and my drink. Drink was flat and ice was melted. Ordered through the app so I cant even request a refund!

I am a mcdonalds fan. This is then only mcdonalds as of yet to not get my order wrong. However when i order on the app and i am able to give the reference for my order it would be appreciated if they didn't try to say the payment hadn't gone through. Remember mcdonalds you don't give your own reference code until the payment has been accepted.

The most important thing for me is that the coffee is always hot not like some of the more expensive coffee places where it comes luke warm.just looking at the recent reviews before writing this one can"t believe it has such bad reviews I am sure that most people don"t review when they get what they expect and only those who have a bad experience bother to whinge about it.

I was in this establishment recently and to say I was horrified was an understatement. It was very unwelcoming and my 8-year-old niece and myself just felt uncomfortable the entire time. We were initially served by a friendly fellow named Dylan I believe. He was more than helpful and even fixed my Niece's order when it came out wrong. However, it is all downhill from here. We were then helped by a man called Josh who was incredibly rude and downright disrespectful towards us both, CREEP!!!!!! He kept asking if we needed the bathroom and he also ate chips right off of our table when we complained that they were cold and unsalted. I give an excellent service rating for Dylan and horrible for Josh. We left still hungry and with my niece in tears.

The worst McDonald’s that I’ve ever tried.

This has to be the worst McDonald's I've ever visited and I've been to a great many. Always issues, be it lack of main staple menu items, incorrect orders, especially through the drive thru, or, this morning, restaurant and drive thru closed despite being 7.20am and lots of staff inside and lots of confused angry customers milling about the car park. This is not new and is consistently sub par. Think local managers need to find other jobs as they suck at this one.

I visited this restaurant in Carrickfergus on Wed 22/9/22 wuth my grand nephew and I experienced excellent customer service from Victoria who was so helpful kind and attentive. She is a real asset to the company and should be in customer service management

Would give them 0 stars today if was possible. don’t know why it’s so hard for them to get an order right especially when it’s on a screen in front of there faces, missing coffee and 2 black coffees instead of 2 hot chocolates .. and when trying to ring to get what we paid and ordered for they can’t seem to answer there phones … joke ! And when we eventually did get through via the app it was £9 refunded which we didn’t want.. we wanted what we ordered

Large meals are a con… chip pack quarter filled… coffee half filled. Didn’t even give me the coffee I asked for. Absolutely shocking, just waiting for the Bots to take your useless staffs jobs.

Was like dawn of the dead. Staff mooching about doing nothing and got my order wrong 3 times. Was visiting from Scotland and went there on the last day with my son before heading home. Went to sit down at 3 different tables and all of the still had bits of food left from who was there before. Unable to serve coffee aswell for whatever reason. No other customers were seated so don't understand why tables were so dirty. Got stuff from breakfast menu and wow!! Had to got up three times and it was still wrong. Maybe should have let them try for a 4 th but didn't have time.
