McDonald's in Staffordshire Moorlands

Came here for a Friday lunch and it was one of the best McDonald’s I’ve had in a while! I was having a couple issues on the machine and Jo came over and was extremely helpful and very friendly!!! Food was delicious, definitely will come back to this mc Donald’s instead of the toners!

Crap service went there stood at counter for 5 mins to be ignored and staff to look at me then look away been there before and had cold chips and burgers this McDonald’s is crap better going to Newmarket or Royston

Always clean and tidy (I am always impressed at how tidy the grounds are here), the staff get the orders out relatively fast even at peak times and I've not had an incorrect order in a long time. The staff are lovely and friendly and the restaurant is one of the new, updated ones. Would recommend, although at peak times it is incredibly busy and you're lucky to get a parking spot as there is limited parking. Beware people like to sit and eat their meals at the collection bays which can cause a backlog of cars. There's a bit of seating outside, not much but then I'm not sure you'd want to sit outside as this venue is just off a very busy arterial route with lots of traffic.

Poor, very poor, very slow service, no clear communication from staff, food was cold and didn’t taste up to standard. Wouldn’t advise. Coming here.

They never have the Mcflurrys on. Fifth time running I have been with no McFlurrys. Obviously can’t be bothered to switch on the machine. Too much bother or not profitable enough. This is the worst Mcdonald’s for 50 miles. Usually most McDonald’s offer the full product range as advertised

Better than average coffee. But their not cheap! Extra 20p for a large one.

Don't go after 12, they shut for half an hour and it takes ages to get your food!!

Ok, this is just a McDonald's and it's not like I would be expecting a gourmet foodie experience, just starch, fat and carbs to fuel me for a very early start. So how hard is it to get an order correct? At the point where the order was taken on the drive thru by an incredible lack lustre individual maybe the warning signs should have been noted. It's not a tough order.. I don't like fried eggs... I hate the rubber texture of the white and it makes me want to throw up. So the order is for a breakfast wrap with NO EGG. I put in the order, pay (no discount for the exclusion of items btw), collect and drive off. 10 mins later when time and traffic allows I open the wrap and take a bite, and yeuch, bloody egg!! I pull over and spit out the offending now into a napkin and fish out the offending article, chuck it in a roadside bin and drive on. Then I take another two bites, and find another bloody egg at the bottom of the wrap. At this point it all goes in the bin. What a bloody waste and such incredibly poor service. It's not hard. Give me something with one thing removed. So my advice is beware with custom orders and check before you drive away.

Take no notice of order is ready still waited another 15 mins

It's a McDonald's - what else is there to say really? Service is hit and miss as is the food but that's the same at most fast food outlets! This branch seems to always ask you to park and wait for drive thru orders, even if it's not too busy, which makes someone have to walk outside and can take a bit longer VS if you'd just waited at the window. Makes sense when busy but not when it's quiet.

Getting in and out of the car park can be tricky.

I have always had a good experience here. I have visited many times. The only complaint is the device which prints the receipts don't work most of time, which is annoying.

watch out for the parking trap. I have received a £60 fine for 15 min overstaying the so called allowed time. I had to wait 7 mins to find a parking space and then 10 min for the order. You can appeal the decision but 100% will be rejected. All they care is money. Shame!!!!

I've not been to McDonald's for a while, the food quality has definitely changed, also the way you order is not for me, that combined with the staff member plonking my food on the counter, mumbling my order number and walking off, has made me realise, maybe I expect too much from these places.

Very bad service, food not hot so asked for replacement.

This my local outlet but is such a disappointment to the franchise. Every time I go there I get sent to a bay to wait for the order. This time, not even the drinks were given to me at the window. Food is often missing from the order and the food is often cold. It's a real shame and none of the staff seem to care. I assume the franchise don't either as it's been like this since I've known the branch.

Feel absolutely robbed by the private parking company hear charging £100 to stay for over an hour. Beware - do NOT stay longer than an hour (i.e. don't buy your children mcflurries and stay a little longer). I understand this is not McDonalds but MET Parking but unfortunately, this made the meal, service etc not worth it!!

Way over priced now. Prefer going to wetherspoons

Busy but fast service. The food was as you would expect and it was clean and tidy. We visited at 5pm which was busy, but they were quick and efficient.

Stopped off here whilst travelling to Stansted Airport for a flight. Plenty of parking and not too busy inside. Lots of people using the drive thru. Ordered on the app and food was quickly brought to the table. My Quarter Pounder had a lot of flavour and was excellent. Fries were good. Enjoyed the limited edition Terry's Chocolate desert. Good value and hassle free experience in getting food on the go.

The staff are lovely, and the food is consistent, but there is one particular issue at this location that the McDonald's corporate overlords seem to be more than happy to overlook, so this review is directed at them rather than anyone who works here. That being said: Fix the bloody receipt printers on the kiosks! They've been broken for actual years at this point! I can't be dealing with the microsecond of time you get to see what order number I am on the screen before it thanks me for my purchase. Either fix the receipt printers or fix the software so I can actually see the order number for long enough to read it! It's beyond a joke at this point!

Dire, reminded why I never waste my money here. Bland cold food.

People are always lovely and there's no rubbish outside!!! Atmosphere and food will always be 'plastic' but they're really trying hard!

Food in McDonald's has gone so downhill over the past few years. No real interaction with anyone as you order on screens and just get your number yelled out. McDonald's is a last resort these days.

Very understanding staff with professional conduct and efficiency. Can see they are well managed and trained. Waited here for 4.5 hrs whilst waiting for a breakdown recovery from 10pm to 2am. 60mins max parking time, but they were very understanding of the situation and let me stay until my car was picked up. Was nice to have a warm place with hot drinks while I waited.

I don't think these guys get the credit they deserve. They push orders as quick as they can, yet people complain about waiting. I've been there at breakfast, lunch, dinner, and even at silly o'clock in the morning. I've had minimal issues apart from the odd missing item. The staff are young. A lot of them are in employment for the first time or are new to working. It's not their fault that someone else forgot to put your sauces in the bag. It's not their fault someone else put ice in your drink when you didn't want it. Keep up the good work guys! Constructive criticism builds people. Knocking their confidence, doesnt!

Last time I eat in a McDonalds. The place was rammed so had to wait half an hour for a seat. Then took twenty minutes for our food to come. Then two weeks later I get a parking ticket as we were there longer than one hour. I used to use McDonald's a lot working away and due to its convenience. Well I won't be anymore so a blessing really, we all know their food is poison and it won't be going in my stomach again.

Slow service considering I didn't go at peak times and plenty staff

2 weeks in a row the burgers have been cold. They obviously weren’t freshly cooked. The service was very slow due to it seemed understaffing and little management guidance. VERY disappointing!

I received this as a hot chocolate. More like dishwater.

Was asked to park off away from window. This is so they can fudge their timings / KPI which I’m sure head office wouldn’t agree with. Was served half a coffee…. Literally paid for a medium caramel latte and was served less than half a cup…..

McDonald's usually a great place. This one is always cold, we have told them so many times to yet no improvement ,so in winter all customers wear pullovers and heavy coats. Some older staff are helpful and talk, youngsters have no such pleasant approach or people skills. .car park is often very full yet few customers. we wish everyone month now instead of every 3 days.

Really good, hash browns were very hot which is nice! Cola tasted great, just the car park is kinda one way and wasn't easy to find the entrance. Very very fast! Like 1 min max and served.

Atrocious McDonald’s. Given a £170 fine for staying 15 minutes over the 1 hour time due to slow service and talking with the people I was eating with. Explained the situation to the manager of the day who said not to worry, but the fine was still issued. McDonald’s corporate stated there’s nothing they can do and it’s purely an issue with the parking company. Ridiculous fine, for a ridiculous situation. Do not eat here

Very slow service with the drive through. Other than that it's a MacDonalds so you know what you're getting. Good dirty food for when you're feeling naughty!

Ordered electronically, and food was delivered fairly quickly. Unfortunately, the buger was not as hot as expected and bit if a let down.

I tried to order a coffee in the app but it said there was no McDonald's nearby. I was standing in the restaurant and the map showed that I was at a McDonald's. I was so frustrated I left without buying anything

Stopped for food at about 11pm. Service was good but didn't seem very busy, although there were a few in the drive-through. Place appeared clean. Tables were cleared. No complaints , usual McDonalds experience.

While costing less than £2 the coffee was underwhelming. Maybe if it’s just a medium for consuming sugar it would be okay. But really wasn’t great. Service was okay, although ordering from the app isn’t the easiest. A few people around me seemed frustrated about slow service. Not much parking but a busy drive through.

Stopped for a sit down meal 2/10,2024, around 13.00. My sister and I en route to Mildenhall. This is the best Mc Donalds we have ever eaten in. The food was hot and fresh, the staff were all so helpful and cheerful. Service was excellent. The establishment was clean. The gentleman on the shop floor was like a busy bee, tidying, asking if we had everything we needed, clearing rubbish, but not intrusive. An absolute credit to the Mc Donalds family . The staff should be very proud of themselves, all superstars

Avoid this place, do not go with family as they charge you 60 pounds per parking!!!!! Just go somewhere else!!

The best maccies in east anglia in my opinion, I travel from my home town where we have a maccies to come to this one, the staff are lovely, the ladies that keep the tables and floor clean are lovely and helpful, its spotless which wasn't easy in the school holidays but they kept it pristine, all the cooks and counter staff are kind and work bl@@dy hard and the food is both fast and hot, if I could give an award it would go to this place. Keep it up guys you da best 👌

Went for breakfast before a day out. The food was quick and no complaints. Jo who was out on the floor was so welcoming.

Had a sausage egg McMuffin to take away got to work and found that it was dry and the egg was green never again

The staff are always friendly and helpful and the restaurant is always clean. Plus, the food is served fresh and tasty and the chocolate shakes really taste chocolatey, which is unusual in most McDonald's. I would recommend this branch ...its the best for miles around, pure and simple.

Rarely use McDonald's but I was pleasantly surprised. I had a crispy chicken wrap, side salad and fries with a coffee & enjoyed all of it!

Pretty rubbish service. Don't worry about ordering at the screen, just drive thru to the first window, save you waiting 5 mins and not getting attended to.👍🏻

Where is the most efficient McDonald's? I will 100% say this here at Whittlesford Service Station, Pampisford, Whittlesford, Cambridge CB22 3HD. Here is why, We had a summer school coming to see the Duxford Museum. We needed help getting food for students, so we kindly asked McDonald's whether they could prepare food for us. We had 80 students so that they could prepare 80 Big Macs and several more chicken nuggets/selections in under 20 minutes. Can you ever believe this? This is the first time I have seen a fast food restaurant that is so efficient and well prepared for large group meals. They have good teamwork, a super friendly team and an affordable price (of course). They definitely deserve a 5-star rating and are highly recommended for pick-up and drive-through. Thank you !

Early morning stop for breakfast. Sat at order point several minutes, no one taking orders. Drove to payment window, again waited for anyone to take order. Asked to park up to await order as no food ready. Sat 15 mins waiting then went into shop. No one seemed to know I was waiting and order still not available. Asked to wait few more minutes then order eventually delivered to me. When I get home, surprise, order is wrong, sausage n egg McMuffin had miraculously transformed into a plain old egg McMuffin. Saddest thing is, lots of staff, not busy, but still terrible service

Good food for people on the move and for those wanting a quick meal

It was midnight in the middle of nowhere and we were starving. This McDonald’s came as a welcome delight. The staff were surprisingly happy and friendly at this time of night. The food was hot and tasted really fresh. Thanks McDonald’s for a much needed meal after 11 hours of travelling.

Worst McDonald’s ever, waited 25 mins for our food right at the till and had to ask where our food was which was brought back by another customer which was given our food, didn’t get any fresh food and wasn’t given a refund. Then got lied to as the said they’d said our number multiple times which that hadn’t

Very busy as always but didn't have to wait long at all.

Decent fast food at a decent price. The customer service leaves little to be desired but it’s only a 30 second conversation at a window with someone so can not expect much.
