Always enjoy laverys and pool and the food it’s such a great place to go with friends to socialise with friends or family they have great staff who are very helpful and friendly its a must do for social gatherings and also with just 1 or 2 friends

Good value drinks, nice atmosphere.

Laverys and woodworkers are the best bars in Belfast. Woodworkers now have snuffleboard and their craft beer selection is always awesome. They also have cocktails, the pickle sour is a controversial one but I'm sure someone loves it. Really good food in both as well and always top service. Bring back the sweet potato fries!

we always came to lavery's as a first thing upon arrival in belfast and we always loved the atmosphere, the pints and the great burgers. yesterday was a letdown. no scooby snack on the menu, bad service and the burgers were a tasteless, overpriced disgrace. no cutlery, napkins or condiments provided and the burgers weren't even grilled and looked like some sad, boiled mystery meat. i love lavery's but that was inedible. pints were great as usual though

Good selection of craft beer in the woodworkers. Food isn't great recently, it was way better before lockdown.

Fantastic atmosphere and as always, a good night out.

Easily booked a table for a Saturday night close to xmas. Table was marked with our name. Bar was busy, but getting drinks was still straightforward as usual. A great place to meet friends and have a few drinks

Held a party in the Back Bar here at the weekend and I couldn't have been in better hands. Eoin was amazing at helping us organise a function everybody seemed to enjoy, and Sophie behind the bar was really smiley, friendly and helpful. The cocktail dispensers we booked were delicious and boozy, and I really appreciated the fact we were able to order one off-menu. Even though fewer people than we anticipated showed up, the atmosphere was still good, helped by the fact we were allowed to put some decorations up. As a student in Belfast, I have been here many times before and it never disappoints. Particularly like the burgers

As usual a good buzz about Laverys. The food is good value for money and everyone enjoyed their meal. Great for an informal group get together as people can order food at their own leisure from the bar. Good selection of beers and the pool tables are well maintained.

I'm afraid this bar has changed. Other floors and recent woodworkers always catered for younger clientele but the ground floor public bar was always a proper bar, although covering racing and football, was suitable for those seeking a good pint and conversation. What used to be called rightly or wrongly a working man's bar. We went for a few pints and Christmas Dinner for a few oldtimers as in past years. Very disappointed pints of Guiness not of previous very high standard and food options and quality well below what we used to receive. I must say however that bar staff and managers were very pleasant and helpful in trying to resolve our difficulties and deserve great credit for finding us alternative seating. Still a good bar if interested in Thursday night European football or Racing but no longer my first choice for a few quiet pints, a bit of craic and a pleasant meal. This was last year's review above - booked a table again this year December 2024 and got a great table and staff again very helpful. I had the lasagna and it was excellent other dishes seemed fine although the scampi portion looked small. Pints were reasonable and atmosphere good. Football was on TV which suited me although craic was so good I only watched bits and having large screen beside us didnt affect enjoyable as bar staff kindly turned volume down on request. Late on we moved into woodworkers which was less packed for a quiet final drink and chat. Overall a really good night had by all and will definitely go back.

Charged twice for a vodka by mistake! Swipe and then pin! Saw it on my banking app. Went back 2 days later and explained with evidence. Manager amazing! He saw my truth and gave me the cash back. 100%

We hold our annual father / son pool competition at Laverys every Xmas and as usual this year didn't disappoint. Great food, excellent service and decent pool tables.

Went to comedy club on Thursday night. Comedians were great. I was seated at the back row which wasn’t a problem. However there was 2 female bar staff who seemed to be looking for an argument. They repeatedly went ‘shhh’ to the crowd when they were laughing loudly. There was also 2 separate groups on either of my side who were asked to leave for talking. I was sitting close to both groups and they caused no disruption to me, they both were talking very lowly. However both female staff aggressively went over to both groups and told them ‘if they didn’t stop talking they’d be removed’. As someone who was trying to sit back and enjoy the comedy show these 2 female staff caused more annoyance than the two groups they removed by security. Great comedy gig but these 2 female staff ruined the experience.

Went to laverys comedy night on a Thursday. Entertainment on a budget . This was a great night , thoroughly funny. Worth a visit fo 14 pound.

Very noisy bar music was booming but couldn't hear the lyricks. Service wasn't great took ages for food to be served. Fish was ok but why was there wilted rocket on the plate? Hubby liked his stew but hated the bread. Barmaid was not very switched on. Veggie lasagna on the menu but none available.

Love the ballroom for having parties and the staff are always so helpful.

Little disappointed, turned up at 20.00 hours Sunday evening, outside notice saying meals served till 22.00. Asked for table for two very promptly turned away and rudely. No problem being turned away as clearly see it was busy ,just the attitude of staff member doing so and no manners. Very uncomfortable being looked at by this member of staff as well .

Excellent service from the bar man! We had booked a pool table and was attended to very quickly by a very helpful guy! Great atmosphere!

It was pretty quiet when I went on Tuesday night, but the service, food, and Guinness were exceptional. Wish it would have been busier as I would have stayed longer. Will definitely go back.

Bar staff attentive and friendly. Good selection of craft beer in The Woodworker's. Tried the flight bar of beer, good way to sample a wide variety of beers. Staff were happy to cater the selection around your taste in beer, which for us was no wild/sour beer. Didn't have food so can't comment, would go back.

Class spot. Great food, brilliant atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Had a great night. Scooby Doo Burger and chips which was very tasty. 4 pints of Guiness Zero which wasn't bad at all. 3 games of pool, lost on the last black ball Umpteen games of shuffle board which I lost every time. A Single Malt Peated Hinch for the road. The music was pretty good as well.

Ireland's largest pool room, so I understand. Great, fun place on multiple levels, and the person who served us was a great laugh!!!

Do not take the "special" offer on gin. I'm not sure what brand it was but it was AWFUL!! I have never left any alcohol behind me, but I was not able to even drink a quarter of my order.

Great place for playing pool and drinks. Only been upstairs but is huge with many tables and excellent smoking areas. Also run drinks offers which is a massive bonus for Belfast.

We had booked two pool tables through the booking portal without detailing we needed them beside each other. Without hesitation a member of staff rectified this on our arrival and made sure we had the best evening possible. Food was great and the pints were flowing!

Had a great day out celebrating my husbands birthday with some pool and cocktails There were 14 of us out and it was great craic. The poolroom was great and as i had booked we got great tables and space. We already had dinner reservations elsewhere but would have some food next time.

Spent an afternoon in the pool room. Great welcome from the staff and great service. Brought a beer from the other bar for one member of our party with each round. The team were so attentive and friendly. Great area and atmosphere.

Laverys 21st century is class. So different to my student days in 90s. Cracking range of rooms. Young crowd. Great vibes

Best place I’ve been since Stonehenge

Great place to visit and hang out. Reasonably priced, good food and friendly staff. I visit the pool room semi-regularly and there's so many tables that there's usually at least one available.

***Update*** I came here for a wrap party of a high-profile prequel to a popular series... if you know, y'know! And I’ve GOT to hand it to Lavery's... it was as SWEET as it gets! The setup was spot on, with drinks flowing and the atmosphere just right. The staff were fantastic, making sure everything ran smoothly! Plus, the toilets were spotless! definitely a FOOT above the rest! The outdoor space was perfect for soaking up the vibes and celebrating our epic journey. If you're looking for a great spot to unwind, Lavery's is the place to be!

A welcomed stop after exploring the city for three hours. The beer was good.

Was there for a girlie afternoon. We always go to Laverys Bar. The atmosphere is fantastic. As always we were well looked after by John our food and drinks server. He was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. The food was delicious and well presented. The prices for food and drink was very reasonable. Can't wait to our next girlie afternoon out

Hosted a large party in the Shipyard. Unbelievably kind bar staff and bouncers. Food was brilliant and everyone was extremely happy!

Amazing place, felt welcomed as a student from the Queen's University

I visited here whilst staying in Belfast. It's a pretty big place which consists of 2 floors. They had some great music on Saturday night with a singer, but the best part was the pool tables (situated upstairs). There was around 20 or so, and they are in great condition to play on. There's also a massive projector screen for the premier league football as well as some smaller ones situated all round. Decent prices, and they also do a top pint of Guinness. We didn't eat here, unfortunately, but from what we did see, the food looked brilliant!! As an erdinger fan, it was great to see some different types that I've not seen before.

The staff in Laverys are top class - always polite , helpful and very respectful . Nothing ever seems to be a hassle . Food was great , Guinness 10/10 and the atmosphere is always buzzing in pool bar . Food served to our table and cleared away so that we can have a seamless fun evening . Just the best spot on city for the craic

Great night start to finish. On arrival seated at reserved table staff very friendly and helpful took our order for food which when arrived was very tasty. Got our tickets for match without any problems bus arrived and took us to match collected after match and returned to laverys to enjoy rest of evening. Great night and we got a win thanks laverys until next time

We didn’t have food but attended the comedy club. Great nights entertainment for a very reasonable price. Great atmosphere and good bar and choice of drinks. Pre booking is essential for this great nights entertainment( not for the easily offended)

Recently enjoyed a staff outing in Lavery's and I have to say it was a great day/night. We got the burger platter that came with honey chilli chicken and salt and chilli wings which all where really tasty and filling. We will definitely be booking here again in the future. Bar and door staff were really friendly and helpful!

This is a large premises in central belfast, it has an industrial vibe about this old building. The staff were all helpful and curtious. the food is great, all 5 of us had something different and all thought it was lovely. A good variation in the menus, both food and drink and reasonably priced for a city center pub. Will be back while visiting city again.

The atmosphere was quite antique-y. It is clearly one of the oldest pubs and I must say I found the staff quite courteous. The fish and chips were amazing. It is great for an afternoon alone-time

Once a lovely bar where working class folk could enjoy craic, now a bar with no soul that panders to hipsters and the entitled. Drinks are overpriced, food is also expensive but not always good. Staff can be rude, sometimes abusing their possition (at every level) Sadly the old Laverys is dead, what remains is a lottery, one may enjoy a night out, or, one may encounter coked up little brats who the staff may favour as they ruin one's night. Classic example of a bar growing beyond it's working capacity & owners who have taken their eyes of the prize. Laverys had a great philosophy. Now, I don't feel their philosophy extends past grandeur and cash. They're ruining their family bar, as a regular of 25 years it's horrible to feel so unwelcome in a place that once felt like home. C'est la vie

Good 7ft English pool tables. Non alcoholic draught beer options. Would have liked some other lagers on tap like Cruzcampo, Peroni or Birra Moretti.

Nice pub but what's going on with Belfast these days - nearly £7 a pint. Same in most bars.

Personal attention and friendly staff. Highly recommend food was amazing. I'm not vegan but members of my party were really impressed by the vegan variety available

It's far too big and far too expensive. Kind of symbolises the problem with pubs in Belfast/NI - there needs to be a lot more competition as the pub game currently works like an oligopoly where a small number of big names charge and act how they want. Lavery's is decent for a football game but the cost means a trip is more of a treat than it should be. The same goes for their Pavilion pub on the Ormeau Rd.

Great place to socialise with friends or my case husband. We had fun playing pool which is a great price of £2.50 for 3 games. Drinks were reasonably priced and great indoor and outdoor seating.

Well we're from the US and asked in town for a true Irish pub. They nailed it! Our daughter who lives in South Carolina is proudly wearing her Lavery's tee shirt.

If you're a depressed male person who just wants to sit alone and never talk with anyone this is your place!!! But seriously this used to be my favourite place. I loved meeting new people, the food was good and normally people were nice. But then something changed. First I got told I was to drunk to get inside because I was genuinely happy and dancing on the way there (I didn't drink anything). Next time I got hit on by the security. And the next time I went there I got told I wasn't allowed because apparently people I talked with for 5min got into trouble after I left. Not the people I came with. I enjoyed going there alone and just meet new people. It felt safe. Now you couldn't pay me to go there anymore.

We went to Lavery's to see Belfast Improv perform. We had food beforehand and it's the first time I'd eaten there. It was very good. I'd the chicken wings and my friend the sweet chilli chicken. Very very tasty!

Pub in the heart of the city with a pool hall , comedy club, and bar. Good way to start your pub crawl into the city. Also has live music. The pub food which is served is decent. The general go-tos are burgers , salt, and chilli fries with chicken strips. The Guinness is decent. Recommend this bar if you want to hang out with your friends and chill. It also has an outdoor seating area sort of like a beer garden.

Booked the back bar for a joint 30th birthday my partner and his best friend. From start to finish laverys staff went over and beyond no request was too much. Bar staff on the night incredibly friendly and helpful. They assisted us with cake and the pictures hung up etc. management and security kept a close eye and kept it a private event. Highly recommend and very well priced. DJ was great and had no problem switching things up for us as the night went on. 10/10

Hired Tom's Lounge for a Charity Quiz for Marie Curie! Every member of staff was amazing. The atmosphere was great for the quiz and I can't wait to potentially hire the room again next year for a similar set up! Keep up the great work guys! Really loved it!

Recently had my partners 30th birthday here it was a joint party for his friend who was also turning 30, the staff were absolutely fantastic, extremely helpful and accommodating. Couldn’t have asked for a better night.

Laverys as a bar is lovely, great staff friendly people and food is good. But there beer pints are over priced at 6.40 a pint, the quality of pint is even worse they have a really bad smell and all taste the same, if going I would advise getting a bottle as there larger pints are minging

Booked a table for 6 of us in the backroom hassle free as always got there table reserved no problems we all had something to eat couldn't fault the food one bit it was quantity and quality the same as always the 6 of us left happy lads that's why we keep coming back score 11/10 😍
