Never disappointed great tasty food fish is crispy light and perfect chips are best in town made from fresh potatoes

So I used to love Landis years ago and decided to call in this week and I have to say I was very disappointed in what me and my partner got. We couldn't eat half of it as it was burnt. They tried to cover it up when set down infront of us as they turned the burnt bit around but the other side wasn't cooked. I was wondering why the place was empty and this is why. Very expensive too. Never again

Ordered by phone and was told to pick up in 20 minutes. In covid times you are given an order number which shows on a screen or LED sign so you can go in to collect your food. I drove over and could immediately see that things were very busy. I had to park over at the Spar carpark as there were no spaces in front but that is to be expected. I was waiting about an extra five minutes when my order number appeared on the Red LED display. It was a quick and easy process to pick up the food. No pleasantries but again this is to be expected when they are so busy. A professional and efficient service. I got home to the family and distributed the food. The chips were delicious. Fresh and cooked to golden glory. Fluffy centred and perfect. The cheesy chip followed suit as did the pepper chip which had a nice kick to it without being overpowering. The fish was large and crispy. The chicken bites tasted of real chucnks of chicken in a nice batter. The standard burger however was nothing to write home aout. It was a little dry and the meat of a lower quality that I prefer. It almost tasted double cooked, a bit rubbery. The Deadly burger was given rave reviews in contrast, a larger beef patty seemed of higher quality and the shredded pork on top was enjoyed. The chicken goujons weren't quite as good, they tasted processed and looked like run of the mill frozen goujons. When compared to the chicken bites the difference in quality and freshness was obvious. The chicken fillet burger followed this trend as while it was a lovely fillet of chicken the coating and texture made it seem like it was a frozen or mass produced burger rather than something freshly prepared on the premises. In all a fairly passable take away. Speedy service, reasonably priced, decent portions and the chips were the stars of the show. I will be returning.
