La Toscana in Swansea

Reservamos una mesa para 2 ya que siempre quisimos probar este lugar, así que empezamos con una copa de vino cada uno , gambas al ajo y salmón bruschetta para empezar... las gambas eran agradables pero bruschetta era soso solo un poco de salmón encima de un poco de pan... nada especial. Pedimos pasta de jamón y champiñones que estaba muy seca, casi no había salsa en el tazón. . tal vez así es como lo hacen, pero estaba muy seca, tuve un pollo en una salsa de champiñones y tocino con patata asada que era muy sosa, casi ningún sabor. Me decepcionó mucho. el chef saca la comida a su mesa, que es un buen toque, pero no volvería

Excelente pizza y un ambiente encantador en las instalaciones. Servicio muy rápido. Una buena taza de café para terminar. Espero mi próxima visita.

10 de 10 para este lugar de pizza el menú era excelente. El servicio era aún mejor y la comida era deliciosa. Volveré al cien por cien aquí de nuevo. La pizza estaba muy bien cocinada y la luz disfrutaba mucho de todo sobre este lugar. Muy recomendable. Lo único que me molesta es que no tomé una foto de la comida para publicar aquí tut 🤷‍♀️

Estábamos de regreso a casa después de 6 semanas de viaje en Creta. Mi sobrino recomendó este lugar. Todo lo que puedo decir es que fue absolutamente fabuloso. La comida es muy casera y el vino era excelente. Sin duda volveremos de nuevo.

Encontramos este restaurante, por casualidad, buscando un lugar para comer. Caminando pasó el olor que salía por la puerta era encantador. Absolutamente súper comida y experiencia en uno de los verdaderos restaurantes de joyas escondidas de Swansea. Todo estaba bien y la pizza era excepcional. Uno de los mejores que he tenido y muy, muy sabroso. 2 tipos de pepperoni y la salchicha nuduja fueron algunos de los mejores de la historia de la pizza picante. Las bases también allí arriba, la harina inmaculada y las bases reposadas durante 24 horas luego se ponen en el horno de 500 grados. Encantador. Los entrantes - pan de pizza de ajo y los hermosos hongos de ajo con chile eran muy sabrosos. Las albóndigas y los espaguetis eran buenos y otros fueron vistos me encantó la lasaña, pero la pizza es lo más destacado aquí, en mi top 5 en cualquier lugar. Muy aceptable vino tinto de la casa también. Si estás en Swansea y disfrutas de la comida italiana, debes visitar La Toscana.

From the moment u walk up to this place... u know it's going to b great... weve traveled in Italy a few times & it was like walking thru a portal right into Napoli. We were warmly greeted & took 1 of the maybe 6-8 tables. It's a small place so u may want to book in. We had a mixed salad, mozzarella bread & a pizza. The salad was fresh & perfect with some olive oil & balsamic. The bread was delicious & we dipped it in fresh ground pepper & olive oil... the pizza was exactly like the best u could ever have in the heart of napoli... it was really clear that the freshest & highest quality ingredients are used. We spoke with the chef for a bit (who is from napoli)... everyone was friendly & sooo hospitable... if I didn't know better, I wouldve thought I was in my Italian mom's kitchen (if I had an Italian mom!) Well done!

We found this restaurant on our way back to the hotel after a stroll round town. Amazing food and service they even adjusted one of the dishes for my husband’s taste. Would recommend and come back if we are in Swansea again. Thank you for a lovely meal 😁

Friends and I were in Swansea Saturday evening looking for somewhere to eat when we walked past La Toscana. Fortunately they had a table free and we had a fantastic home cooked Italian meal. The service was exceptional and our every whim was catered for. The price was very reasonable and we all agreed we’d eat there again.

Me and my partner went to La Toscana a couple of times, and each time the food and service were just perfect. I can honestly say that this is the best Italian food I had in my life! The staff working at La Toscana is friendly and helpful. I cannot recommend La Toscana enough!

We stumbled across try his restaurant while visiting our daughter at university. We wanted to go somewhere not a chain. The service was excellent very attentive and friendly. The food was amazing the mozzarella garlic bread was so delicious and the parmagina special was lovely The main courses were freshly cooked and full of flavour. Really enjoyed an informal meal at this great venue. The cosy atmosphere and attentive customer service gave us a very promising insight to the feast which was about to arrive. The food is unpretentious but very high quality and authentic. Chef is passionate and proud to use family recipes passed down through the generations. We loved the lasagne and meatballs and then came the delicious deserts - home made tiramisu and a special rum baba with pistachio. Can't wait to come back. Thanks to all the team for giving us such a memorable evening.

Great friendly little restaurant in the heart of Swansea. We didn't book and were lucky to get a table, so booking is advised here. This has a great menu with everything you'd expect on a good Italian menu, plus some more unusual dishes. Far superior to any chain pizza takeaway. Make space for a dessert it is worth it here. The Canoli dessert was fantastic. Also loved the silent video of Italian street scenes on the TV.

Based on all the great reviews decided to give this place a try but was very disappointed. I ordered a margarita pizza which was clearly a frozen pizza base and then frozen toppings on top so tasted quite poor. The pasta however was really poor, all I could taste was grease and oil, most of it went in the bin. On a positive note the customer service was good and friendly but not for me and will not be returning.

Amazing little find. This is the best Italian we have been to for years. There's nothing fancy in either the decor or the menu but the food is exceptional; so fresh and full of flavour. Can't fault anything about this place, the service was spot on, friendly but not over bearing, the wine was lovely and overall its really good value for money. I only wish it was near me!

This is by far the nicest Italian food I've ever eaten and I've eaten in Italy. It is most definitely a hidden gem but it is absolutely gorgeous. Would definitely recommend. Also it's so cheap for what you're getting. The portion sizes are big and the garlic bread is to die for. You need to eat here!

Yet another amazing meal tonight. Can't fault this place at all. The most amazing authentic food and the best service every single time we visit. Fantastic restaurant run by a fantastic couple who deserve all the success in the world. Can't wait for our next visit.

My daughter and I had dinner at La Toscana this evening and it was thoroughly enjoyable. The staff were welcoming, polite and attentive. The food was delicious and authentic Italian cooking. Prices were reasonable.

First visit to this restaurant and will certainly be returning. Excellent service, friendly atmosphere, both of us had three courses and everything was first rate, washed down with a good quality Prosecco, also more reasonable than other competitors.

Amazing find. After checking in late on Friday to a nearby hotel for my birthday, my girlfriend and I decided to venture out for some food, well what a find! My girlfriend and I had originally walked past La Toscana but decided to go back as it looked very welcoming, well we weren't disappointed, what can I say! Best Italian we've ever tasted and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. If you're looking for an Italian when in Swansea then this is it!

Decided to try after reading all the great reviews and weren't disappointed. Lovely atmosphere helped in no small part by delightful staff. Food was authentic and delicious... bruschetta and Caprese salad to start, lasagne and carbonara (cooked Italian style) for main course. Excellent value for money, will definitely be returning.

Third time we have visited and always look forward to going. Amazing food (My mum and my son say they make the best meatballs ever). Wonderful service as always.

Me and my mate went to visit La Toscana. It is without a doubt the best Italian in Swansea. The staff were extremely friendly and the food was divine. The food was faultless from starters to deserts. Will definitely be returning soon. Must visit!

I work away quite a bit in the swansea area and every time I go too this traditional Italian restaurant you are welcomed by the staff, and the chef is excellent. A must go to if in the area. You won't go wrong here.

Me and my husband always used to use Toscana but then it went rubbish, we've recently started using it again and wouldn't go anywhere else, fantastic service delivery always on time and the food tastes amazing please don't change again Toscana as the way you have it at the minute is gorgeous would recommend to everyone :-)

Wasn't even the right order asked for chicken tikka wrap with salad & garlic, what I got was plain chicken which was black cos it had been cooked too long, as for the salad it was mainly large quarter pieces of onion, very disappointed, it went in the bin

This takeaway has gone right back in my eyes the food is still okay but you hardly get any chicken shish or Kebab meat when you get a house special Kebab chips weren't fresh either (edible)

We ordered a special offer of 3 pizzas thin Base. The dough was fresh pizzas cooked to perfection, ingredients were great quality. Garlic sauce was spot on! The chilli was a little sweet and watery for my taste but again was fresh. This is defo our favorite pizza place!

Toscana special 4 toppings pizza was divine... We ordered chicken, garlic, pepperoni and sweetcorn. It was perfect, not greasy, plenty of cheese and tasted awesome. Highly recommend as this is not the first time we have had great food here. We also got scampi and onion rings all great but the pizza are by far the best!

Took an 1 hour and 15 mins to deliver which was disappointing. Ordered a thin crust on one of the pizzas but both were deep pan. Pizzas weren't that great, very basic but kebab meat was nice.

This place is terrible, food was abysmal and so was the delivery time. It took an hour and half. Avoid this place if you want good food with a food delivery time
