What a lovely place - I received a warm welcome and was told about the special. Just a few tables outside on the pavement and I sat out and had a delicious meal, the Amatriciana was cooked to order and wow, perfection. The staff are all genuinely friendly and help greedy confused people like me to choose. I hope to be back regularly 👌

Una auténtica carbonara romana entre otros platos y pasteles tradicionales de la espiral, buen café y gente encantadora. Tienen productos de la mejor calidad para cuando quieres cocinar en casa, ¡aunque nunca es tan bueno como el de ellos! ¡Gracias La Spiga!

Stumbled on this place in the back streets north of Liverpool St Station, seeking shelter from a heavy shower. Three extremely friendly young Italian guys run what we first took for a simple sandwich bar with one table. It turns out there is a very simple little restaurant at the rear and the owners were preparing several mouthwatering simple Italian dishes for the evening session. We did not stay for a main meal but judging by the snacks we had, it's well worth going back.

Since I found this place I absolutely fell in love with the authentic Italian food served here..I became a regular customer and all I can say it’s that the food is absolutely delicious, the first time I came here I had different charcuterie and a few Italian cheese, everything was seasoned perfectly, as a main I had a Carbonara the REAL carbonara cooked at the perfection.. both of the owners are really friendly and professional.. I absolutely love this authentic Italian place.. CASSANO. A

When I was visiting London on a business trip I stayed late in the office and was looking for some good place with Italian food near my hotel. That one had only positive reviews, and was still open, so I decided to give it's try. I was surprised a little that the place was very small (only 1 table inside with 2 chairs - most likely this restaurant specializing in deliveries) but I gave it a try. It was a great decision! I ordered some gnocchi with mozzarella and was offered a starter - took mozzarella with tomatoes and focaccia which was freshly baked. The taste was amazing! Especially focaccia! I never ate any bread that tasted that good! The two Italian owners were very friendly, and their cooking skills are admirable I can definitely recommend this place!

AMAZING !! So fresh and delicious. There are a million chains in London, try something different. This is authentic freshly made pasta by 2 young Italian guys. Highly recommend and I will be going again soon.

Lovely authentic place. Picked up a couple of salmon bagels. Delicious. Would go back any time as the array of ingredients looked intriguing.

We were really pleasantly surprised by this lovely little place. The two Italian guys running it were so lovely and friendly, keen to see that we were totally satisfied with our food. My partner is also Italian and he said the espresso here was the best he'd had so far in England! Our sandwiches were delicious, and the two guys made our time there feel really cosy and pleasant on that wet rainy day! We would definitely go again! Thanks guys :)

I was on my way to a business meeting and walking in a hurry while checking directions on google map when I gave La Spiga a quick glance. Once my business meeting finished I walked back all the way I came hoping to find La Spiga. I walked into La Spiga wanting to just browse but there were such an atmosphere and two warm welcoming guys but I seized a piece of lasagna. Now, I am never so keen on lasagna unless I trust the cook but exceptions can be made and it was just the right moment. I sink my fork into the lasagna while being mesmerized by the look of golden rich and cheerful layers of homemade pasta alternated with a red passionate 'sugo' (tomato sauce). Now, I am always cautious about carbs, who isn't nowadays? and especially on glutens not to mention the quality of the tomato sauce but this lasagna is different. This lasagna is different not simply because is delicious indeed but above all, it is light and well balanced which rightly optimizes the ingredients and its flavor. It is always a task to make a good lasagna, too sticky, too heavy, too much sauce or too much pasta, too dry, and so on and on. This lasagna has no faults you could possibly pick on, nor gullible on eating it. There is only one thing, just sit back, eat and be happy. I did. I dream of La Spiga's lasagna. I have never found a lasagna in town like this before! No doubt this is the best lasagna in London. Enjoy!

Having had several lunches, we organised a surprise birthday dinner for a friend. The staff were fantastic in all areas. Such friendly guys and amazing food. Cannot recommend them enough. Niall

The service is fast, in accordance with the limited time available during the lunch. The quality is great, just like the family businesses in Italy. Everything is prepared right in the front of the guests, while you have a single espresso coffee on the counter....

Food is fresh and authentic! Roberto's pasta is obviously a must :) Both owners are lovely and you can tell how passionate and caring they are. Could not recommend more!!

A real Italian restaurant in the heart of London with a great staff that makes you feel immediately at home and really affordable prices. Photograph the delicious dishes and enjoy them. it's an incredible experience.

I came across La Spiga accidentally and am so glad that I did! Delicious fresh pasta, a great selection and particularly lovely staff. Will come back to Shoreditch just for their food! Good luck with it x
