Had a bookng for 6 people yesterday (Sunday) at 5pm . Very annoyed that the reataurant appeared to be closed. Visited the next door Italian and were informed that it had been shut for a month - leaving many customers furious and out of pocket

went on a Groupon 2 X 2 courses for £25 allegedly worth £70. it was only ok value for 25. starters sausage portion was vv small. humus had no flavour. mains were lamb and chicken kebabs. lamb vv chewy. totally average unlikely to go back on a Groupon and definitely not at full price. venue is large and spacious. lamp shades are awesome. service was friendly but slow. disappointed had high hopes

We went for My Nephews 30th Birthday. there was 30 in the party and we had to pre book our meals 2 days before , on arrival we were told that they didn’t have one starter or one main which was produce they could have sourced locally. The service was very poor, glasses not cleared of tables and when the cake was brought out no knife or serviettes or plates were brought out. I’m sure with drinks and food our party spent excess of £1000 Very Disappointed with the service and food.

Excellent restaurant absolutely beautiful decor. I purchased the 2 course meal and drink offer for my daughter's 21st birthday. Omg it was amazing, they sang a Turkish version of happy birthday with great music in English with amazing backing music. Thank you so much we travelled from Nottingham especially and it was worth the visit. We will be back. There was no issues with heating we felt comfortable and warm. I left a generous tip which for a budget conscious mum confirms it was worth every £ I spent. We all loved the food thank you staff you are all amazing.

The restaurant, has a very high ceiling .admittedly, we were eating early at 5pm, due to having a baby and 2 young children, but it was really quite cold in there.. It was not busy, but the staff seemed slow to take the drinks orders. The food was very nice and everyone enjoyed their meals. We ordered a second drink for one guest, which never arrived. The staff were quite friendly, but the whole experience just was`nt the best, and we left quite soon after finishing our food, due to the baby and the young children being cold.

Visited recently using a steak deal - absolutely great tasting steaks all four cooked as ordered. When we arrived this enormous restaurant was almost deserted and felt very chilly. By the time we left, a couple of large parties had arrived, as had quite a few couples and small groups which improved the general atmosphere. We felt that it was quite a bit warmer towards the rear - nearer the kitchen area, so be aware of this if you are offered a choice of table. Young staff should improve with experience The light shades are amazing! Anyone with mobilty problems shouldnt have any difficulty in the restaurant but parking is a bit scarce - probably as well to drop passengers off before attempting to park. Not the answer for disabled driver!

Bit of a confusing experience. Plenty of staff, yet a little tricky to get their attention. I think it is because they had two large Christmas parties on so they were super focused on them. We were the only other group in. The manager took our order. Mine was completely wrong and my partner got rice when she asked for chips. When it came time to pay they then charged me for the wrong meal along with my correct meal which they brought out after. So effectively charging me for an extra meal which I did not order or eat. I pointed this out to the manager and she corrected it. We had a cup of tea each which I know is not the normal but we just fancied it. However the tea was awful so much so my partner sent hers back. The food was nice, the rice not so much but the kebabs and chicken sizzler tasted nice and the chips were decent. However the kebab portions for £17.85 I thought were a little small. The sizzler portion was a bit more decent.

Food excellent. Service good but staff clearly have specific responsibilities, so if you ask for a drink from a member of staff who doesn’t do drinks, they go off and get someone else. Staff extremely friendly and overall excellent experience. Entertainment outstanding! Downside, netherlands lost to Argentina and I lost out on free drink! Overall, we’ll be back n thanks for helping to make our Christmas do evening so enjoyable x

I really don’t like to give a business a bad review, but I just can’t say anything positive about this restaurant. We booked a table for my sister in laws 50th birthday months ago, and dropped a balloon and banners off yesterday afternoon. They promised they would sort it all out for our arrival. Got there at 8pm only to find no balloons or banners, and no table for us. After lots of discussion they put us on a table. We waited 45 minutes and still nobody came to ask what we wanted to drink. We went and spoke to a very rude member of staff at least 3 times, but still nothing. Eventually, after going to the bar we got drinks. Then nothing again, nobody took our order, and we were there nearly an hour. It was so disappointing as it was a special occasion for the family. We ended up just walking out and going to the Italian Job next door, who went out of their way to welcome us. They looked after us so well at such short notice. I honestly will never set foot in Istanbul Grill again, just a shambles!

Went here for my 70th birthday with family whilst the food was OK the service especially for drinks was no less than appalling, constant excuses one young "waiter " especially seemed to just be wondering around aimlessly not writing down anyone's order and paying more interest in all the female parties. We waited on average 30 minutes plus for our drinks and one order never arrived but was put on the bill. Very disappointed 😞

We have ordered take away and it was by far the best grill I have had in a long time. 🤩 We had variety of dishes to taste them all and we are definitely going to eat out at the restaurant next time! Highly recommend!!!

We celebrated my mum and dads 40th wedding anniversary on Friday 4th November. The staff were amazing and couldn’t do enough for us from the moment we booked. We were a large group so pre booked food which was lovely. The main host (who’s name I didn’t get sorry) and all staff were so accommodating and made it extra special for them. They were also great with the young kids we had with us, as was Amir at the bar too! A big thank you again for making it such a memorable evening!

We had not visited Istanbul Grill for a while so Amir took the time to explain the current menu to us. During our conversation we happened to mention that it was my husband's birthday and they then surprised him with a cake. What a nice touch! Tasty and well presented food. There was a deal on cocktails as well.....2 for £12! Thanks to Amir and the rest of the team for looking after us and we look forward to eating there again soon x

We have visited this restaurant many times throughout the last 8 years and it has been inconsistent due to the change of owners/chefs, but right now, they have an amazing chef who I hope stays! Zaza's food is authentic Turkish style and a taste we miss so dearly when back in UK, I highly recommend the Chicken Wings, Calamari and Adana kebab! Yes, sometimes there are issues with the service management (not the waiting staff - they are great) but I hope they iron these out soon as we intend on frequenting this venue a lot more in the future. The entertainment that they have at the weekend is very good too, especially the Freddy Mercury tribute act, he was fabulous! This is a great place to enjoy as a family or just with friends ... Give it a go!

Four of visited for lunch on Christmas eve. The food was great, generous portions, piping hot and well cooked and presented. The only drawback was that there was no atmosphere, there being only about a dozen customers in a room that would seat hundreds.

Lovely party ambiance in the restaurant and great service - creating a nice relaxed feel. Excellent interaction with the kids - very child friendly. Last but not least - the food is cooked to perfection and according to my son, it has the best chocolate cake in Manchester! Food is nowhere near as good as it was when the restaurant first opened. You would have thought hummus would top notch but was like slop.

It's not very difficult to understand why they are busy, it was really nice dinner we had and definitely we will be back again soon. Thank you everyone for your hospitality and great food.

Visited Istanbul grill for a family night, as it was my brothers birthday. Did not disappoint. Was seated very quickly and had drinks within minutes, I ordered the special Turkish bread and a delicious mixed grill, food was amazing and very tasty and so was everyone else's on the table, great customer service with friendly staff and a classy and vibrant environment, definitely will be returning here!

Takeaway from here tonight. Several lamb dishes, all very good. Veg moussaka also got a good report. I'm sure I'll visit again

Quiet night out? Not this restaurant! It is very loud, quite dark and not really conducive to a cosy chat and sweet talk. Having said all of that the food was good, the happy birthday singing and belly dancing was all entertaining. We had nice, hot Turkish bread with humour. Followed by a tasty mixed grill. We used our mobile phones to shine a light on the food to see what we were eating!

I'll start from the beginning and apologise in advance for the length! We visited the Istanbul Grill after me avoiding trying it for years due to the mixed reviews I had heard. However, someone in the family wanted to go for their birthday and so I had no choice. Ten of us arrived for our booking at 7pm. The restaurant is huge, at least enough space for 200. There was another table of ten and 3 tables of couples; so quiet and empty to be honest. It was freezing in the restaurant, probably due to it's vast size and lack of customers. The staff all milled around the bar near the front of the restaurant and we actually seated ourselves. After ten minutes seated, I actually had to ask someone to come over and take our drinks order. I ordered a Sex on the Beach - which was neither the colour nor the taste of the famous cocktail. I quickly ordered another drink.

Came to eat here on Bank Holiday Monday night. Arrived quite late as we had been out walking all day. We were all famished and had previously been turned away by several restaurants we called at in Disley on our way home. So were very pleased with the friendly greeting and being shown to a table. The food order arrived quickly and everything was really tasty, well served and well presented. The staff were attentive and clearly work hard. All in all great value and great service. A group of 9 (including 3 children) went to the Istanbul Grill and from the moment we entered, to the moment we left, the service was first class.
