Amazing food and atmosphere. Ordered the keegans steak burger and it was served quickly and it tastes amazing. Will definitely be coming back. If you haven't tried it yet, you need to get in there and try it. Absolutely delicious.

One of the nicest hospitality venues in a city rather short of them. On the edge of the city, with a narrow exterior, easy to miss, the entrance leads to a large but cosy, nicely fitted interior. Good portion sizes and a decent range of drinks. Staff friendly to tourists. Prices reasonable.

Keegan's food, staff and service are outstanding, if you want a down to earth homely atmosphere you'll be hard beat to find anywhere better than Keegan's, I give it 5 stars but it definitely should be double that and then some

Hidden gem. Lovely food, freshly cooked and promptly served. Absolutely gorgeous goats cheese salad and the chicken wrap and peppered chicken enjoyable.

I went to this bar/restaurant based on the reviews that were left here. I am therefore going against the grain when I only leave a 3 star. I was disappointed based on the reviews of what we got. First of all, we were kept waiting for a few minutes while the waiter was cleaning tables. There seemed to be 2 main waiters and numbers of waitresses popping in and out. I had not a clue who was serving at one stage and sometimes service was quick but sometimes it could be very slow. Between finishing the starters and getting our plates taken it took almost 20 minutes. When we got our main course, no new cutlery was given. The food itself was ok but nothing to write home about. For starters, we had the Duck Spring Rolls and the Crumbed Mushrooms. I was certainly expecting more mushrooms and the Duck Rolls were ok but nothing to write home about. The main courses were much better and this is why I will give this review a 3 star. My wife ordered lamb which was lovely and tender and ordered the Lasagne, chips and a side order of Onion Rings. I don't know if it is just in Armagh but in Keegans there is a lack of variety of beers. No Peroni or other top names or indeed any craft beers which is disappointing, so I went for Hop House which was ok and we ordered some wine. Don't get me wrong. There was nothing bad about the food or service but then again there was nothing particularly good about it either.

We have always loved keegans bar because their food, atmosphere and staff are second to none, we are always made feel very welcome and always a very friendly atmosphere everytime we are there, because of this we booked our sons Christening meal here and family members that has never been before said the food and service was the best they have ever experienced, Laura always welcomes us with a smile and goes above and beyond everytime to make sure we have the best time and every time we visit it just gets unbelieveably better and better I would highly recommend Keegans Bar

I called in for 2 pints before the match. Great spot and the pints of Guinness are top class. Big crowd, but easy to get served. Very good staff

have eaten here before going to a show in the theatre and the meal was super as usual and was keenly priced. will def be back next time we are back in armaghn

We booked Keegans for dinner for six ladies before attending a function in Armagh City Hotel. The food was great, the waiter was able to organise the starter of ribs as a main course, some of the party ordered a selection of starters to have as a tapas meal. From vegetarian, steak peppered sandwich, BBQ ribs, cod and chips, food was delicious . The staff could not have been more helpful. Great food and best customer service. Thanks, we will be back.

I have just discovered a new favourite place in Armagh Called in for some food and drinks. Hot whiskys were perfect. So hard to get in most bars now. Food was of a high standard and, best of all, was the service. Even though bar was very busy Laura went out of her way to get us a table and she looked after us so well. Thanks Laura!

Have dined in keegans twice recently and both times its been absolutely top class The food itself is really wholesome fayre with more than enough on the plates The mostly young staff are very attentive and are very conscientious about their customers,I cannot recommend Keegans highly enough

Omg.. Not our 1st visit as a group but our 1st Christmas experience .. We all had steak bar 1 he had the lamb shank amazing. Food service was excellent well done Laura and ur gang.. Use always pull out all the stops... Christmas cracker and complementary prosecco on arrival... Not one of the 6 of us found a falt... Obviously why we came back..DEFFO OR FAVOURITE PLACE TO EAT IN ARMAGH.. XX

My son and his wife recommended Keegans to us - they have been there numerous times . We had a friends night out in it last night and had a wonderful meal and drinks. The staff and service were excellent and we will definitely be back again - hopefully soon !

Brilliant Family pub nice owners

The menu choice is good, provided you eat meat, and reasonably priced but the overall experience reflects the low price. There are no vegetarian or vegan options on the menu, which is a poor show in a city centre restaurant in 2023. The service is slow (one hour order waiting time) and disjointed with every request having to be made more than once. Base-level service was not provided such as food being served without cutlery on the table and no continuity of staff attending the table. The portion size was on the small side and the food was mediocre. I would return to this restaurant but they seriously need to up their game.

Thank you to the kind and gracious man that give up his seat for me to sit while I waited for an empty table. The ale while I waited for the table cold and good, nectar of the gods. The pub was packed on my arrival.

Best food in town, with the best prices. Prawns.on wheaten bread, the best I've had. Laura and her staff are flawless. Always willing to please and adjust the menu to suit the customer with no extra hidden charges.

Visited her yesterday for some lunch, beautiful place with very friendly and welcoming staff, special mention to Lucas who couldn't have done enough for us. The food was excellent and unbeatable prices, a very genuine and honest place that has been beautifully decorated in all the right places. Although we don't live in Armagh I would make the trip just to go here again. Thank you Robert.

Chose this pub because it is our daughters name while traveling through the country. It did not disappoint. Food was excellent (lamb shank and veg soup), friendly service and the atmosphere/decor suited both the drinker and non drinker. Great family pub!

Booked here for a group of 14 people. The staff were very welcoming. They gave us some drinks for free too. Food was reasonably good, and very abundant.

I made a booking for 20 adults and 8 children for a party. Laura and all the team were nothing less than amazing! We dropped balloons and cake in before the party and everything was sitting perfectly when we arrived. The food was amazing and everyone was fed at the same time. The children could not have been better looked after by all the staff between food sweets and treats. Nothing was an issue and everyone was so friendly. We were offered an outside area to take pictures and let the children play. I could not rate this place highly enough. Everyone was fantastic.

Ate here with 2 kids 13 and 11. It was a busy Saturday evening and we hadn't booked but staff were friendly and found us a table in about 15min. They have a lovely menu. Food was plentiful and delicious. Staff were attentive and again friendly. Place had a great atmosphere too.

Lovely food good service and very relaxing atmosphere

Friendly and well run pub with a good bar food menu. We had fish & chips and Keegan's lamb shank which were brought to us quickly and were very tasty.

Amazing food, fresh cocktails, fantastic atmosphere and exceptional service. You could go elsewhere in town, pay three times the price you'd pay in Keegan's and it wouldn't be anywhere near as good. Keegan's is an Armagh staple because it's all of the above and *incredibly* reasonably priced. It's no exaggeration to say it blows absolutely everywhere else in town (and very likely further afield, too) out of the water. I, for one, can't rate this place highly enough. It's one of the few places in town to reinvest back into the bar, Bernie's snug is a wonderful addition. While everyone else was crying into their coco pops about how awful covid was for the hospitality industry, Laura, Donna and Co got to work to make the bar the absolute best version of what it could be. Kudos to the Keegan family and long may their success continue, it can't be easy keeping such high standards and such reasonable prices.

Went in for the first time this afternoon, friendly staff and a really fast food service. Delicious Sunday roast and very reasonably priced. Definitely would recommend, if passing through the area friendly atmosphere. Will be back again!

Had the most lovely family meal here tonight and think I may have a new post match tradition given it's perfect location relative to the athletic grounds. The harshest food critics in the party cleared their plates in record time, deemed the gravy "the best in the world" and are demanding the adult portions next time they come.
