Having a tastecard is a great thing in London, although the initial up front cost can be a lot, you easily make back the money in savings. My friend and i were lucky enough to walk in without booking and have the taste card accepted on a wednesday night. At first, everything seemed great, nice ambience, friendly owner but then the whole atmosphere changed when the manager/owner became what i can inly describe as "cheeky".

Mi novio y yo fuimos a cenar allí.

The new owners at Kasbah went out of their way to make our evening very special, we were a party of 12 people (aged 17 to 50) celebrating my son's 25th birthday - we sat outside enjoying a lovely August evening, the service was excellent, the menu so varied something for everyone, the atmosphere was very relaxed, it was an evening to remember - happy to recommend it

I would say, this place is very good! I guess it's under new management, cause all staff is very friendly and welcome. Service is pleasant and quick. Shisha is good as well as drinks served as they are supposed to. Definitely coming back

I was here last night In a group of 12 for a friends birthday. I wish we hadn't. Our mains came out over an hour after we ordered, and one was forgotten about and the staff had obviously lost her order and she had to wait an extra 10 mins. Everything had way too much salt in it and my mousakka was beyond the acceptable level of oily. Our water came in a water stained jug that looked like it was never dried up properly in its existence. When we asked for spoons to eat the birthday cake we were given huge soup spoons. And to top it all off it was very overpriced. If it were a better meal I wouldn't mind paying but it was only passable. We took off the 10% service they automatically add (to every table, not just large parties) and were glad to leave.

Hummus was edible but the pitta bread was stale. We enjoyed one fairly decent tagine but the sausage and couscous was only ok. Best bit was the BYO!

Me and my girlfriend recently visited this restaurant for dinner the service was friendly enough but the food was an absolute disgrace you would get better Mezza in Blackpool! Economy chicken wings with chilli flakes revolutionary! was called morrocan spiced chicken my cat honestly could have done better bland in the extreme. The chef was so lazy the hummus was bought from a supermarket and had that pasteurised taste and to make it look "authentic" the chef drowned it in additional olive oil and put copious amounts of paprika on top. They had not even gone to the trouble of buying pita bread from an Arabic supplier it was just wholemeal supermarket pita marked up to £5.95 absolutely outrageous! The spiced chicken livers just about the only think that did not come straight out of a packet resembled cat sick that had been mashed up with a fork a big fat zero for presentation.Delving a bit deeper they were incredibly overcooked and rubbery. In all honesty the skill level shown by the chef would have made a school dinner lady blush I have no idea how this restaurant continues to trade with such dire food.Having eaten at the excellent Tamra on northcote road last week the bench mark for north African and Arabic food in the area is very high. All I can say is AVOID like the plague!

I think the lesson learnt from this night out was 'suck up the wait time at Bodeans and deal with it!' Instead we crossed over to the pleasant looking Kasbah in Venn Street. The staff were extremely welcoming and the restaurant itself is nicely decorated and clean. Kasbah has the additional 'benefit', in this day and age, of not having a licence so we popped across to Londis once we'd ordered and re-seated ourselves with a fair selection of locally sourced 'tinto'! The food then arrived and that's where this nice little restaurant let itself down. The chicken livers I had to start were tough and tasteless and gave off quite an unpleasant odour! The other starters on the table, humus and haloumi, were passable but only just. I then had the lamb tagine which was, again, tastless! served with plain couscous it was the blandest meal i think i've ever paid for! The rest of the table had either meatballs (we seemed to arrive in the middle of national meatball shortage it seems) which were passable in flavour and also the royal coucous which was again 'bland'. A great shame really as it could be a lovely place if the food tasted nice!

This place is really a dump, the food is bad, the decor is lacking anything Moroccan. And it's really expensive! Avoid this place like an ex boyfriend/girlfriend.

My boyfriend and I used to visit this restaurant regularly and always looked forward to a visit.Having not been for some time we decide to book a table and revisit, however, I really wished we hadn't. The first warning sign should have been that previously the restaurant was always pretty full but on this occasion there were only a handful of customers. There was no atmosphere and the pace seemed dead. The service was slow (despite not being busy), the food which had always been so wonderful tasted very different (not in a good way) and the staff were not very friendly either. My boyfriend ordered the fish/seafood tagine which we have both had on numerous occasions, this time it was dull, dry, tasted odd and had a distinct lack of fish or seafood, very poor value for money. We definitely won't be making a return visit.

Very disappointing - we went for a special occasion and it was the biggest waste of money. The portions were measly, the food unimaginative and bland, and the service lacking. The only nice thing was sitting out on the atmospheric street - my suggestion is go to another bar or restaurant on Venn street for the atmosphere!I always aim to leave 10% tip but on this occasion I didn't want to, but they already added it to the bill! I couldn't be bothered to argue and made a note to share my experience on here instead - just wish I had checked first and could have saved a lot of money and had a better time somewhere else.

Well where do i begin......oh thats right with the water and if anyone can get this wrong then it's the Kasbah. We were wanting to quench our thirst and cleanse our palates and all we did was start a journey that would end with huge disappointment. How can water taste greasy? Unpolished watermarked glasses, a surly waiter, limp salad that had obviously been prepared much earlier in the day. Even the olives had been plated too early, leaving them paradoxically dry skinned and mushy! The cheese and spinach pastry had been fried in the same oil as the fish... so not a great place for veggies / vegans. The chicken tagine was bland with very little meat... more chicken in a Tesco's sandwich. The skewered kebabs were fine but nothing special... the local late night kebab shop could deliver better on both taste and price. The couscous was dry. Presentation of whole meal was sub standard.Wine list was limited but we found an ok but young wine that improved after some airing.Didn't bother with dessert or coffees... we're not gluttons for punishment. The waiter did not even ask if we enjoyed the meal as i'm pretty certain he knew what our answer would be.It comes to something that when we were leaving and saw a young couple entering for what they probably thought would be a romantic and exotic meal that i was close to shouting out that they would have better luck at Abduls Kebabs around the corner....but i didn't and for that i will forever feel guilty! Will not be going here again and cannot say enough to dissuade future patrons.

Never been as unimpressed in my life. The decor is probably the highlight, so long as you don't go to the toilet. The hummus was by far the worst I've had, not that it wasn't edible, it just didn't taste like any hummus should. Clearly it was missing something from the traditional ingredients whether tahini, garlic or lemon juice. It was so bland. The couscous dishes are served with the vegetables and sauce with your meat in a single dish, which would be fine if they put enough sauce to not leave the couscous dry. That said I still prefer the sauce and vegetables to be served in a side dish which allows you to mix in harissa and spice up to taste.Chicken skewers were again, average and lacked vegetables. Juices from the fresh grilled lemon squeezed out over the chicken as it was de-skewered and the chicken was perfectly cooked. However, accompanied by plain rice, dull iceberg lettuce salad and a reasonable cucumber and yoghurt side dish.Overall, highly underwhelmed and suprised it was so busy.

Cons - value for money, service.Pros - atmosphere.Nothing special, the food was ok at least fresh, most definitely over priced in my opinion. The service was ok I suppose, the waiter hardly said a word to us all night. The Moroccan decor and atmosphere is something a little different and most enjoyable.

We went here because in google it seemd like it had a 5 star rating. Tge error we made was that we didn't read the reviews as they were nothing to do with this restaurant. We had the mixed starters which were nothing special. They amounted to 1 prawn 1 sardine & 2 other items each. 3 of us had Tangines which were tasteless, the other person had a mixed grill which was 2 skewers one lamb and one chicken plus half a susage with rice. The service was very impersonal, you asked for what you wanted, it arrived and there was no other communication. The website implies belly dancing and a rich decor which is nothing like the place we went to. In fact the only thing you would recoginise is the outside of the restaurant. .

I Due Amici , truly feels like a home away from home. The warmth of the restaurant is immediately apparent, with its cozy, intimate setup that makes you feel welcomed the moment you walk through the door. the gentle hum of conversation and soft background music provide a comforting ambiance. It’s the kind of place where you can settle in and unwind, taking your time to savor your meal without ever feeling rushed. Their avocado egg with toast is a highlight—simple, yet thoughtfully prepared with fresh, quality ingredients. The staff at I Due Amici enhance the experience even more, as their friendly and attentive service makes you feel like a valued guest rather than just another customer.
