Just Indian in Carrickfergus

After spending £45 on a meal for 2, there was no salad or sauces with poppodoms. Felt it should be included as standard and was tight.

Over seasoned and undercooked, delivery was within an hour but the food was far below mediocre, chicken tikka masala was all spice and no flavour, wasn’t even the right colour, the tikka punjabi masala more so resembled a curry and was again all spice and no flavour, I recommend you take your hunger elsewhere unless this place improves

This is our 3rd time ordering from here and it’s just amazing and such great flavours that you can’t get in any other kebab , highly recommended!!!

Delivered on time. Food was cold when it arrived, only refunded 1/3 of the cost of a meal that was inedible. Won’t order again.

Partial order only arrived, no masala chips. Rang, no apology but told it'd be sent out with driver, fair enough as we all make mistakes, Nice girl arrived a while later, (we'd eaten what was delivered in first instance)but hey ho with just a plain chip..binned..bloody shame as what we eat was lovely.

can't fault the food ir delivery time but it was spilt inside the bag, very messy!

Don’t like given bad reviews but I have to be honest! We had a take away ended up thrown it out no flavour just didn’t satisfy us. We are big foodies this must be one worst food we had in long time. Prawns were like rubber chicken dry and nan bread bland. Sorry but I’d rather be honest.

The Indian takeaway here is truly authentic, with excellent food and service. Everything was delicious and arrived hot. I will definitely order from them again.

Tasty food, the hubby and I got 2 different curry each, both with chicken tikka and they were full of flavour, plus the chicken pieces were huge and there were plenty of them as we had leftovers for lunch the next day. Rice is also nice and their garlic naan was tasty! Will deffo go back. The guys working there were helpful and answered any questions we had.

The chicken korma here is so creamy and flavorful, it's a definite favorite. The food is top-notch and the delivery service is quick. I highly recommend this place.

This is such a tasty Indian takeaway! The prices are pretty decent and every meal I order is always just as delicious as the last. They are super friendly and take care of your orders especially dealing with allergies. Gluten-free friendly.

Sorry this wasn't great. The chicken (tikka) in the curry (Rogan josh) was weird tasting. The onion bargees are a weird semi circle shape like they are mass produced. The Rogan josh curry sauce was standard at best. £25 I won't see again as I binned it 👎

Best Indian takeaway/restaurant for miles

We visited the restaurant in March as part of our stay in Birmingham, it was recommended by a taxi driver there. Particularly good food, not comparable to the Indian restaurants in my home country of Austria, is simply much better there than here. Staff really very accommodating. The boss gave us a homemade dessert after he found out that we were from Austria. The boss was very pleased that we visited his local place based on his recommendation. I can really recommend it. If you're not a local, you won't find such insider tips.

This place is the best Indian restaurant about, the food, service and price is fantastic and worth a visit.

I've visited this place several times, and I've always been happy with my meal choices. Even when it gets busy, the service is top-notch. The dishes are bursting with flavor, especially the tender lamb. Plus, the prices won't break the bank. If you're craving some tasty curry dishes, I definitely suggest giving this place a try.

Showed as being out for delivery for over 40 mins, phoned and was told they couldn't get hold of the delivery driver! delivery turned up late and lady said we were hard to find, I got no phone call asking for directions and we have had delivery from this place before! so disappointed.....food freezing! won't order again

The spice merchant in Eden has decent food it's let down very badly by poor management attitude when the reliance on technology has let them down. The 20% off offer has not been deducted after adding my local address so a quick call to the girls who took the order and deducted the 20% offer no issues - then after DL-ing the app it has problems telling me on a Saturday night I can't get a delivery until Monday so When I phone into the girls they're feeling pressured by the owner to not take orders over the phone due to technology failures. Sorry folks but if the girls can't do their jobs without being scrutinised by owners due to their online and app failures, I'll never get from here again. Something badly amiss between the management staff technology and customers - be advised of how poor I find this whole scenario.

I called in and ordered a delivery to Whitehead for 20.00 The food arrived ten minutes early pipeing hot .. Instead of Chicken Karahi, I had lamb Karahi with Peshwari Naan... Big chunks of melt in the mouth lamb in a lovely sauce.. My wife had Chicken Punjabi Masala with Pilau rice. Big chunks of chicken in a rich Masala sauce.... This was our first meal from The Spice Merchant... And won't be out last ... Big thumbs up from us....

Absolutely terrible - since the takeover the food quality has gone down but the delivery - well, waited more than two hours to have an argument with a bloke in a car whose teenage daughter was doing his navigation on her phone. Food cold, bashed up, the pakoras gruesome... Never again.

First time we’ve used the Carrick branch. Dansak was very disappointing. Very orange in colour, lost of heat but no other flavour, little to no lentils and no pineapple for that little sweetness. Chicken Karachi was dry and lake flavour apart from heat. Nothing like the dishes we get in the Whiteabbey branch. Won’t be using again any time soon
