We were able to walk in and get a room which was good and it was under £100 which was a good price for Glasgow I initially thought until we saw the room. The bathroom smelled like a porta potty (like somebody pissed all over it) and the room itself had very questionable cleanliness. Stains all over the carpet and the bedding had holes etc. Overall very disappointing, glad we were only there one night. The staff was great though so there's that...

I stayed here with a group for one night, rooms, staff, food and location are good and friendly. The only thing that wasn't great was the big crowd at breakfast. You can easily walk to Georg Square, for example.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The service was outstanding—every member of the staff was respectful, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable, with a clean and modern bathroom that exceeded my expectations. I was especially impressed by the breakfast, which was not only delicious but offered a great variety of fresh, high-quality options. Overall, a truly excellent experience. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others!

Room's we're very clean, don't take shower gel or shampoo there's is lush. Easy access to shop's bit of a walk.Breakfast was lovely many choices from cereal to cooked breakfast rolls and croissants.

Very comfy, spotlessly clean, friendly staff

The hotel itself is really nice, the rooms were clean and shampoo and shower gel were provided. Unfortunately, we had some negative experiences during our stay, which is why we only give it two stars. We booked half board via the hotel website. We could choose between “once” or “twice”. We decided on “twice” and were sure that this applied to both people as we had checked the booking several times – also because of the low price. However, during our stay it turned out that according to the system the booking was only for one person. This was not communicated to us when booking, nor in subsequent communication via email or during check-in, even though we explicitly asked. First evening: We ate at the Novotel, where the waiters had no information about half board - not even after consulting the reception. Initially we were quoted a range of €16 per person for the main course, which is hardly enough as most of the dishes are above that. Drinks we ordered were not brought twice. After further questions, we were finally allocated a frame of €24-25. However, everything took an extremely long time: we waited over 2 hours, although only one dish would have required a longer preparation time of 40 minutes. We also weren't able to enjoy appetizers or desserts due to the constant changes and uncertainty. During the entire meal no one asked us if everything was OK. Second evening: We also dined at the Novotel on the second evening. After we ordered, we were told again that we only had a frame for €24. In addition, we were told that our half board was supposedly only valid for one person. We had to go to reception again, where they finally explained to us that the error was probably in the booking system. We were offered to pay the regular half board price as we had already eaten the night before. However, at this point we had no choice as the food had already been served. The entire experience was extremely disappointing, frustrating and nerve-wracking. We didn't feel valued and therefore couldn't enjoy the evenings. It would have been acceptable if we had been informed in advance that half board was only for one person or that there would be additional costs. However, we were confronted with the situation when it was already too late. In addition, we find it problematic that a price range was set that was not communicated transparently and that most dishes were above this range. A set menu for half board guests would be a better solution. The impression remains that the concept of half board is poorly organized and the staff was not sufficiently informed about it. We hope that future guests will be better informed about such details to avoid such misunderstandings and frustrations.

Used the hotel for the first time last night .staff were got a free drink breakfast was great plenty of choice for everyone rooms were spotless 5 min by taxi to the hydro going to go do xmas markets now

Fair hotel, but sufficient. Clean. Comfortable bed. Small room and bathroom, but with everything you need. Acceptable buffet, without filigrees.

Stayed for one night. Fine as a basic hotel for reasonable price in city.

We stayed here for four nights. Room looks exactly the same as ant other Ibis hotel we have stayed, not that big but big enough for our luggage. Bed was okay, but keep in mind to check the matrasses every now and then. When you close the window the room is very quiet, no noises from outside but also no fresh air. When you open the window you are woken up by a lot of noise from the construction side outside the building. Would be nice if we were informee about this before hand… Breakfast was not okay (way too overpriced though), when you arrive between 07:00-07:30 there a way too many people and there is hardly any place to sit. When you arrive after 08:30 a lot of food has been gone and it takes too long for it to be refilled. Coffee machine is slow (doesn’t even serve cappuccino ?!). Scrambled eggs taste weird. Room gets cleaned very well. They even asked us if everything was okay.

A great stay, great staff and a free drink to boot 😁 Me and my daughter loved our stay, the room was comfortable and spacious. The staff were welcoming and polite, everything on hand. Breakfast was good, plentiful. Enjoyable shower, toilet a bit small but I'm 6ft 4 inches, so cannot be helped. Definitely stay again.

Staff was amazing. Accommodated my early check in request, helped sort out my small needs throughout my stay. Room was clean, private, comfortable.

A really good hotel if you want to stay reasonably central. Right now road works and construction work in the area, so a bit noisy at the moment. Great service from the reception/bar! Breakfast quite stressful between 7-8, a fairly typical English breakfast, quite ok! The rooms are good but a little too few hooks to be able to hang up. Good selection on TV. Responsive,

Stayed here for 1 night with my 11 year old labrador. Had a great wee night…The room was cute…perfect size …bed was so comfy. Wifi was decent …my dog had a little accident in the hall & the staff were ok bout it…but i had to clean it myself. which i didn’t mind. but i paid £10 surcharge for my dog so would hope accidents were expected …also your not allowed to leave the dog alone in the room. which was a pain..as i had to go out and take him with me Went for the breakfast included…was disappointed a full scottish wasn’t offered. i was disappointed with the breakfast. only had 3 bites…also a tea/cofffee ain’t even included…i had to pay for my coffee. apart from that. Everything else was great Shower was good ..👍

Asked by email for a quiet room, and was given a room overlooking a building site with construction work starting at 8am. Room stank of bad drains, had to go out and buy some air freshener. TV turned itself on at 3am and woke me up. Same thing happened the 2nd night of my stay, despite the fact that no alarms were set (I checked on the TV). I'm an Accor silver, because I stay in Accor hotels (usually Ibis) at least once a month. My silver membership entitles me to a complimentary late checkout (assuming the hotel isn't full). When I asked for my late checkout, I was told lies by the reception staff that 12 midday was the late checkout time for accor members (note: you can't make up the rules when you're talking to guests who stay in your hotels all the time). When I pointed out that the website says 12 midday is the standard checkout time for everyone, I was told that I could keep the room until 1pm as a favour, as the hotel was quite empty. No acknowledgement of the fact that I'm a silver - at every other Ibis I've stayed at they've let me have a free late checkout at 3 or 4pm. Yet again another Ibis where the reception staff are clueless about their own company frequent guest reward scheme. Perhaps a bit of re-education is necessary?
