Hot Chilli Indian Restaurant in Pembrokeshire

We had a takeaway from here while on holiday in Fishguard. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was the best we’ve had in a while. We had chicken tikka masala, lamb tikka masala, lamb pathia and chicken vindaloo with rice and naan bread. Portions are generous, the meat was tender, and the sauces were thick and delicious. Highly recommended.

This was the strangest Indian cuisine my husband and I have ever experienced. We had an entree of the tandoori tasting plate that definitely didn't see the inside of a tandoori oven. The meat had been stir fried with loads of onion, in a tandoori paste. Also the samosa was very odd tasting. I had chicken tikka masala for main which was in the weirdest masala sauce ever. It tasted like coconut flour mixed with tomato paste. My husband's curry was listed in the "one chilli" list, meaning mild, we assumed, but it was super hot. The naan bread was definitely not cooked in the tandoori oven and was thick and doughy. I feel they don't really understand how to cook Indian food at all. I don't recommend this place. It was very disappointing.

Good food, good service and good behaviour all of them. I will go next time again.

We had a meal here and it was very nice would recommend to anyone visiting who would like an Indian. The price was very good as well. Staff were very friendly.

Absolutely filthy kitchen. Keema rice was foul and smelled like hot garbage!!! Do not even bother.

Curries weren’t great, very different to traditional curries, naan breads were awful, oven cooked and the fillings (peshwari, keema and cheese) were completely tasteless and nearly non existent. Even the poppadoms were found to have bugs embedded in them, definitely wouldn’t recommend. We called our order in advance, were told to wait an hour but even when we arrived after an hour we were waiting 20+ minutes.

Had a lovely meal tonight whilst on our holidays from Scotland. Meal was hot and delicious, served by friendly staff. They do not serve alcohol but happy for you to bring your own. Nice to see the chef engaging with the dinners, and checking we enjoyed our meal which we did. Top marks from us.

We really love Indian food, but what we got here was far from acceptable. We are not sure if there was anybody in the kitchen who knows how to prepare it. Starting with the "Chai," it was just a teabag in a cup without ginger or the taste of any spices. The food was made with vegetables that felt like cooked ca. 3 days ago and re-heated repeatedly. Rice with curry powder from Aldi, that's called Byriani, one spinach dish without any seasoning, not even salt. Garlic Naan made with sugar! Disgusting. We paid a lot, had it as "take away", and could not eat it, but threw it all away. The worst we all ever had. Who refunds the money to us?

Had an evening meal there recently with friends. We have eaten there before, and have always had a polite and friendly service. -Lots of delicious food- Also, you are able to bring along your own alcohol, no problems at all.

Not sure what the bad reviews are about, we had a lovely takeaway. Nice soft lamb and great flavour.

Went for a drive on Saturday, ended up in fishguard. Thought we'd have a quick munch and found this place, what a great find, the server was really helpful and welcoming and great food. Will visit again, hopefully soon. Thank you.

Soul food. On a miserable rainy evening they were not only serving hot delicious food, but friendly smiles as well. Even though i came in looking like a wet potato, they were very friendly and my food came quickly. Good vegetarian options but tonight, after 18k walk on a coast path we decided we needed meat. Thick creamy sauces, big chunks of chicken, fat slabs of garlic naan-just what the doctor ordered. A million times thank you

Very average... Staff lovely but food very lacking... I was on holiday in the area with 5 friends and everyone thought the same... stay clear of the onion bhajis as there absolutely rubbish..we threw most in the bin

Good Indian food, friendly staff.

We have had 3 takeaway meals from here and one sit in meal. All lovely and freshly cooked to order. 1 x Coconut rice for takeaway is enough for 2 people.

I had take away last night from this amazing restaurant for my wife's birthday treat. We had Lamb Mon posond and Chicken Handi. These dishes were superbly cooked and so tasty . Meat and chicken were nice and tender. Onion bhaji and Somosa's were very filly and crispy. Rice portions were big enough. Nan breads were well cooked . We highly recommend everyone to try Hot Chilli . We will definitely go back .

One of the worst Indians I have ever tasted the nan bread was oven cooked not tandoori cooked the curry was way to thin. The pilau rice came as boiled rice. Went in to collect the place was dead. Would not recommend going.

Possibly the worst Indian meal I have eaten. Bland and insipid. My lamb Kochi was supposed to be medium to fairly hot, instead it was mild and fairly tasteless. My wife had the lamb handi which tasted exactly the same. I had hoped being a Monday evening that as the restaurant was quiet (we were the only dining in customers) some care might have been taken but no. And before the owner replies, we're British, we don't complain

Can't get my head around all the good reviews.... I had a take away and, unfortunately it was one of the worst Indians I've ever had in my 37 years of being alive. Naan was clearly just a frozen one, no flavour at all, chips were undercooked and put in a paper bag, they stuck to the bag, became wet and turned to mush. The curry itself was way too thick, could plaster the walls with it, chicken was overcooked and tough to chew/cut overall it was also tasteless and bland. Cucumber raitha was truly the icing, a tray of yogurt with 8 half slices of cucumber..... I ended up binning it all and eating the Poppadoms while crying in the tub.

Banquet night every Wednesday - starter, main course, rice or nan £12.95 takeaway £13 95 dine in. Best Indian meal I've had in a long time. Thank you , I will definitely be back.

I ordered takeaway with my friends recommendation and felt home cooking in every dish.

I came here for my birthday meal with the other half. The food was very delicious and the starters were very tasty. Since we arrived in Wales, everything tasted better than where we're from in England. The waiter and chef both greeted us and they were very attentive and sat us down. If we return to this part of Wales again, we'll definitely be coming back here.

Very nice Indian with good selection of dishes. All cooked well and the naan breads were really good. What made it 5 stars were the staff. They were so friendly and welcoming and made the meal really great.

Have had a couple of great meals here. My favourite Indian restaurant in Pembrokeshire (and I've tried many!).

This is a recommandable Indian Restaurant!Very good and tasty food. Staff was absolutely friendly, attentive and corteous.

I don't normally leave reviews nor am I a big fan of Indian food, but this was without a doubt phenomenal. Great service, food was worth every penny and more, even overheard one of the management staff say to a take away order to let them know personally if anything wasn't to their liking so they can fix it which says it all.

Had a takeaway from here whilst on holiday locally! Highly recommend! The onion bhaji were a bit chewy but other than that, no complaints! So much flavour and freshness across the different dishes we chose! Would definitely choose here again :-)

I had a meal here with my husband whilst on holiday. The food was delicious and the service was exceptional. The owners are polite, friendly and professional. I had a bhuna and it was the best I've ever had! I highly recommend and when we visit the area again will definitely be going back.

Great place for a great curry before catching the Stena ferry to Ireland. Really tasty authentic food and a lovely chatty owner.

Fantastic food, particularly the veggie side dishes such as Saag Paneer. It was great that the chefs came round to ask how the food was. Very reasonably priced and friendly, quick service.

Hot chilli never fails to impress. I always have the same (chicken tikka masala, pilau rice and a naan bread) I have NEVER had a bad dish from them in the many years I’ve been eating here (or take always!) The staff are amazing, friendly and go out of their way to ensure you have a 10/10 meal, nothing ever seems too much trouble. My partner had the prawn masala for the first time and loved it also! Oh their onion Bhajis are awesome too! If you’re looking for a filling dinner that’s extremely yummy look no further! Thank you Mohammed and team :) our favourite takeaway around!

The way they took care of our appetite we didn’t feel like we were out of London. Thank you so much for making us feel like home. Definitely worth visiting.

We went yesterday evening. The restaurant was extremely busy as there was a large party of people booked in. We were made comfortable whilst a table was prepared for us. The food was amazingly tasty; I ordered King Prawn South Indian dish and my dad ordered Methi Lamb. We also had rice and chapattis. We are rarely able to finish our meals at such a restaurant but the food was so tasty that we polished off the lot! The staff was friendly and accommodating too. Both my dad and I heartily recommend Hot Chilli Indian Restaurant.

Had a fabulous meal here tonight of Special Tandoori Mixed Balti and also Chicken Tikka Methi with shared pilau rice and cheese naan. Got to be honest, it's the best meal we've had in Fishguard since arriving Saturday! Restaurant very quiet but staff very friendly and attentive. Happily recommend to anyone to try it. We will probably visit again before end of trip. Thank you both👍

Nice little Indian restaurant in the middle of Fishguard. Owner Muhammad is very helpful and accommodating with diet requirements e.g. most meats are available halal, but check with Muhammad first. Good menu choices and average prices. Very clean and tidy. Ambience is good. Not very busy when we went, but many take out orders being served. Had Tarke dhal and okra - very tasty! Tandoori mixed grill was OK, but lacked spiciness. No alcohol served, which was fine with me. Friendly place. Recommended.

Very tasty Indian food. We visited today for the first time and will surely come back. The restaurants offers plenty delicious vegan options. We had vegetable Korma and Almi with rice, naan and papadams. Both were absolutely tasty. The staff was really friendly and helpful too.
