Fantastic food and service. Staff apologised because there was a large group of lads, noisy but they were behaving. Will definitely be back.

I had heard so many great reports about this restaurant and finally got round to visiting it myself and I am so so happy I did. Got to say this is now my favourite place to eat for casual dining in Aberdeen. The food was amazing bursting with flavour and so fresh and piping hot which for me is a must. I shared the salt n pepper chicken and spring rolls for starters and then for my mainI had the King Prawn Satay and it was by far the best satay sauce I have ever had. Outstanding. Everything was outstanding including the lovely staff who were lovely and smiled the whole time. I will be back again very soon and cannot wait.

Been meaning to visit the restaurant for some time & can’t believe i never went sooner - it was amazing! The food is outstanding, the nicest Asian food I’ve had in Aberdeen. The lady who served us - Teresa - was just lovely, so so nice which made the visit even more enjoyable. New favourite restaurant. Will be back real soon

Tonight we had such a fantastic meal at Taste of Hong Kong! The kitchen was clearly very busy but that did not affect the food which was 10/10!! We had the shredded salt and pepper chicken and duck pancakes to begin with which were both delicious! The coating on the chicken was soo tasty! My fiancé had Nasi Gori for a main which he’s had before as it was so good last time and I had the honey chilli prawns with egg fried rice, I literally couldn’t stop eating the fried rice even though I was so full, I had to move it away from me as I would have exploded if I’d eaten any more! The prawns were also incredibly good and you got so many!!! Such good value for money! The waiting staff were so amazing (I think also slightly short staffed) and apologised for food delays (but there really wasn’t any delay at all!!) they were just so lovely!! Owner is also so lovely and kind, it was really heartwarming to see her relationship with customers who clearly come regularly. Overall such a lovely experience in every aspect! Please please visit and support this wonderful local business!!

My husband and I always come here 2 - 3 times a month when we crave Chinese food during the Weekend and have tried 80% of their menu. I'm Chinese so believe me this place is AWESOME & DELICIOUS! The portions are big, ingredients are fresh and taste amazing! Not to mention at a very affordable price! You need to have their homemade fried dumplings! Their Roast Pork with Rice, Roast Duck with pancakes are fantastic. Better than any Chinese takeaway or restaurant. Their fried noodles, fried rice & soup noodle dishes are a must! The lovely humble & polite elderly couple that cook and run this place have been here for many years. We are wondering when they're going to retire and who's gonna take over the business. Till then, we eat here as many times as we can and suggest you do the same. ^_^

We order the roast duck everytime with noodles, big portion, comes with a duck thigh and more, my partner loves it.I really liked the fried dumplings. I ve tried a couple of other dishes with rice like the honey chilli, one with lots of bell peppers and few pieces of chicken and another one with pork, good but i wasn't thrilled. The service is always very friendly and the food comes on time, even if it s busy. The whole family dines here, which is a good sign. 6-7£ for mains.

I found this place accidentally after exploring Aberdeen Market. Admittedly the surroundings of Aberdeen Market has had its better years, but as previous reviewers have stated, do NOT be fooled by the immediate environment. My personal favourite dishes are the Noodle Soup dishes (Beef Brisket or Pork Ho-Fun) which are huge as well as delicious. The menu is still varied enough for anyone's taste and trust me, when you look at other customers' dishes, you'll see that their portions are equally substantial. I absolutely love eating here and whenever I'm in Aberdeen city centre, I try to get a seat during the busy lunch time. Which brings to mind my biggest negative about this place... it can get very busy and seating can be problematic, but if you are willing to wait for a place you won't regret it. This has to be one of my best 'hidden gem' discoveries and if you want to avoid the exorbitant costs elsewhere for portions of this size and quality, you can't go wrong coming here. The only places I've tried which could beat this cafe, were in the Far East. Put it another way, look at the number of Chinese customers eating here. We love our food and as a result I this place is "Highly recommended!!"

Like Madame Mew's Thai, it's hidden in the middle of one of the worst indoor markets in the UK but the food is excellent (if a bit more expensive than Mew's and the cheap eateries of Manchester's Chinatown that I grew up with). Just watch where you sit as it is right inbetween two Thai restaurants and it isn't immediately obvious which seats belong to which restaurant!

Simple dishes. Massive portions. Cheap and cheerful. There are lots of Chinese restaurants and takeaways, most claiming to be authentic Chinese cuisine. Me as Chinese, having lived in the UK for 20+ years, I have tried most of the takeaways and restaurants in the area, and been disappointed repeatedly... Only 2 restaurants currently serve good Chinese food but it's a bit pricey if we dine out weekly...We as a family have been loyal customers in the recent years. It's nice honest food - I love it, my husband (Scottish) loves it, even my fussy-micro-teenager 5years old (Jockinese) loves it. Almost every Saturday, we wander down to the market in autopilot mode... Even my supervisor knows where to find me at a weekend...

I am a regular here over the last 6 years. It is tucked away in Aberdeen Market, and only opens Mon-Sat 9am-5pm, serving authentic chinese fast food. I love their fried dumplings - one of the best I have tasted in the UK! The fried seafood udon is the usual favourite and their beef soup noodles is a must-try. Our regular side dishes include the salt & pepper chicken wings. But if you're planning on having breakfast, you have to try their hong kong french toast with butter and maple syrup. They have soy bean pudding (otherwise known to Malaysian & Singaporeans alike as Tau Foo Fah), which is a common dessert in Asia and they are the only place that does this in the North East of Scotland. The couple who runs this place are incredibly warm and friendly and if you're visiting them on a hot, warm & sunny day, quench your thirst with their famous iced lemon tea. The price is worthwhile for the generous serving. This is a must-try if you're living or visiting Aberdeen!

HK Cafe is a little gem tucked away in the Aberdeen Market Food Court area. They have quite an adequate menu selection for such a small place. The food is tasty and arrives quickly, and the couple who run it are very friendly. It is very normal for you to have to wait for a table on Saturdays, as they have about 6-8 tables and they fill up quickly! The only downside is that due to it being located in the Market, they aren't open on Sundays. I usually have a starter - a bowl of Wanton Soup - and that fills me right up! For those who want a bit of a heavier lunch they have soup noodle options as well as noodle and rice dishes. I recommend the X.O. Ho Fun - its the hubby's favourite!

First off I’m in a wheelchair and Chinatown say they are wheelchair accessible. There is a step into the restaurant which required help from two friends to get into. I hadn’t been to this restaurant for years and prior to being in wheelchair so didn’t occur to me to check before hand that there was an accessible toilet. There wasn’t it was downstairs. The owner? Suggested I didn’t drink much when I asked where the toilet was and he said downstairs. He was joking but still smacked of insensitivity. My friend wheeled me to nearby Burger King twice to go to toilet. Not ideal. The food. It was decent. We had a sharing player which was tasty and duck which was on the dry side. Main courses were also tasty and rice and noodles fresh and good. It wasn’t busy at all so the service was attentive and helpful. So all in all the food is good but needless to say I won’t be back due to access. This won’t affect most visiting so I’d say if you can manage stairs then worth a visit.
