Excellent food to take away. Cash only is a bit of a nuisance though as there is no nearby bank cash point. Reasonably priced on the whole.

Best Chinese I've ever had! I won't go anywhere other than here from now on can't wait for my next meal!

We have used this take away for years the new counter never had an is issue new counter assistant is shocking Took our order got it wrong. Rung back to query, absolutely shocking service If you order food and it isn’t correct and it isn't customers fault then rectify it there are ways and means to deal with customers. If she is a Permanent fixture at this take Away I can’t see it fairing very well for the owners

Absolutely useless trying to order on a Saturday can't answer the phone and when you get through they put the phone down on you. Whoever answers the phone must be costing Mr Happy Chef a fortune 😡😡

Love the food there my favourite Chinese takeaway, service and get your food very quickly even when they are very busy I crave their food every weekend.

I've been using Happy Chef for the last couple of years,and as a couple of previous reviewers said, I've never had a bad meal,also never had a problem with delivery,saying that,I always phone early e.g.opening timeish,cos I got mobility problems, I depend on the delivery. There's a lot worse

Used this place for years under previous management but will not be using again, final straw this Saturday 2nd dec phoned for a delivery at 6.20 pm told would be within the hour, we were out at the time, returned home within 10mins, no sign of delivery at 7.45, phoned to check advised we would have our delivery in 5 mins, at 8.15 no sign phoned again given a load of b******t told them to forget it, no apology appalling attitude by the girl on the phone, that’s me done never use or recommend this place again.

The happy chef is a very busy take-away, and it can be very difficult to get thru to make an order by phone, However it's worth it all,, as the food is always consistently good and tasty, a favourite with our family

I will firstly say how great the customer service is here, they are always there to help. The food is okay but can sometimes slip a bit. I would recommend this to friends. Sadly the website is off and I cannot see the menu. Had a great meal

Just had a takeaway which included crispy chicken and I could not chew it. Not sure what it was. Worst meal I have ever had will not go back again. Waste of £16:00. Terrible.

Consistently good. Chips can be a bit hit and miss though if you're fussy. We eat from here a lot and have never had a bad meal. They could do with some new dishes on the menu though as it hasn't changed for years.

Been a firm favourite of this place since a child. The food is always warm and delicious. The mini spring rolls...I have an addiction! Haha! Service is friendly by both shop and delivery staff. The only problem is there can be a long delay with delivering the food during busy times but this is due to its high demand and popularity.

Absolutely delicious! Ordered in several dishes for the family for my birthday meal. Food was delivered within 40 minutes and all was piping hot. The food was simply stunning. Great service. Highly recommended.

Food was not very nice! Waited over an hour and was very disappointed with the poor quality that we received and staff not very cheerful!

After trying all the Chinese takeaways in Gorseinon we have cone to the conclusion that this is the best around here. Never had a dodgy meal and usually fast and efficient service.

Not a bad meal nothing to write home about have had nicer and tastier but all in all not bad at all, Staff ok needs a bit of up keeping and bit more taste to reach the standards of Gorseinon Packed Meals

Food is always lovely and fresh here i have never had a bad meal if you are ordering a delivery on a friday or saturday night be prepared to wait over an hour as the place is so popular you will be lucky to get through on the phone unless you order before 6pm. This is the best chinese takeaway in Gorseinon.

After using this takeaway every Sunday for at least a year, I am sorry that j have to say that the way.jve been treated this evening is appalling. The reason j use this take away on a Sunday is because they will not deliver to me in a fri and sat even though I pay £2.50 for delivery and live within 3 miles of the takeaway any other day of the week. And wven though they are stupidity over priced j live the food.i rang this evening for my usual Sunday takeaway and was told they would not deliver to me this evening. I asked why and was told they don't deliver to my area in a Sunday. I explained that j have been doing so for some time but was basically called a liar.i rang back to try and voice my concern as j was angry that my custom wasn't valued and again was just told I was a liar.i am fuming.

Had several take aways from here. Polite and speedy delivery. Food was hot and plentiful. Very tasty. Always on my guilty food list of places to order from when I get the munchies.

move to this takeaway , seems to be better than Treasure Islan who I used to buy off for years. Good fresh quality , always hot too. Just gets a bit busy and wait a bit longer than usual sometimes, but hey ho proves my point perhaps

Went there because there was a big que so presumed was a good Chinese. 2nd top restaurant in Gorseinon... Seriously! Had a delivery to the house.... and had to wait 2 hours, when we were told 45 mins. Crispy beef very sweet and soggy not Chrispy.... But the chicken pieces in the chicken shezan was nice but not spicy...

The best Chinese in Gorseinon, fresh food, very tasty at reasonable prices. Late Night delivery, take away & sit down restaurant.

The food is fresh, tasty and ample ! Probably in the top ten Chinese take away's in Wales! Not greasy, or flavourless like some Chinese food can be. Keep up the good work, we are impressed

We have had a few meals from the Happy Chef, always cooked to perfection whatever we have. From the outside it looks basic but it is always busy with customers. They do deliveries too!. Great food at fair prices, what more could you want?. Parking can be a bit hit and miss, but you can always park in Sainsbury's and walk down the alley.

I have tried the main 5 Chinese takeaways in the Gorseinon area and the Happy Chef has by far the best food. I have been going here for the past few years at least twice a month so am in a good position to say I have never had a bad meal. If I was being critical, it is sometimes hard to contact them on a Saturday evening to order food as they are so busy. I think that they leave the phone off the hook as the takeaway is always packed and they can't cope with both the telephone and walk-in demand with only one staff member taking the orders. But this is only a small annoyance on an otherwise good takeaway.We have tried most things off the menu, our favourites being the chow mein, crispy beef, sweet & sour and chicken curry. They offer a delivery service for a small fee and this usually takes anywhere between 45 minutes to 1.5 hours depending on the day and time.Give it a try.
