Full Moon Cantonese Cuisine in Swansea

I had duck chow mein. There was hardly any duck, just a few pieces, loads of thin noodles and beansprouts hardly any flavour. The lid of the banana 🍌 fritters had 2 holes in. Any all the syrup had leaked out

Ordered from here previously and got most of the order wrong. Thought would give another try this week only for the food to be completely bland. I don’t really understand how Chinese food can lack flavour but this Chinese has managed it perfectly

Recently moved to the area and tried this takeaway a few times now as a family of six. STUNNING FOOD! Really clean and fresh tasting. Clearly a lot of care goes in to cooking the food. The staff are always friendly and one day, after chatting, they kept giving us free packs of prawn crackers for the kids. Genuinely the tastiest Chinese takeaway we've had in years.

Excellent food. We had a quick bite on our way to the sea side and really enjoyed the treat.

This has to be the worst meal ive had ever ! Im writing this now , morning after & still feeling tummy cramps ! Ordered special curry & boiled rice . Got home & contents were , 3pcs chicken 3pcs pork 2prawns 20 pcs onion & bowl of dish water , curry flavour . Portion boiled rice Tastsed bloody awful

We decided to try something different from our usual Chinese takeaway. So we ordered from the full moon in dunvant. We decided to order something we have never tried before and ordered off their new menu which includes Japanese and Thai food. We ordered a red Thai chicken curry with rice included, and a chicken katshu with rice included. They accept cash only, the young lady serving at the desk was welcoming and friendly, free prawn crackers were presented with the order. I got to say I was surprised by how tasty all the food was. it was honestly one of the nicest takeaways I have had in years. Well done full moon 👍

Order was short of 1 main dish and had duplicated chips. Thai green curry was grey and tasteless, just very hot.

Food was excellent! They had a dip in quality a couple of years ago but I'm glad to say they are back up to standard. The dishes had all the gubbings and tasted fantastic!

As always excellent set menu meal. I have Never had a bad meal here and been going for years the service is quick and efficient.

Has always been my favourite Chinese but after tonight's ill never have it again. Didn't get what I ordered and given alternatives and had about 10 chips in the bag. Food was cold. Never again

The quality of the food was appalling. The special rice contained unidentifiable grey meat, really unappetising. The chicken in batter balls had clearly been sitting for a long time and was over cooked to the extent you could peel it in strips. The crispy beef was tough and tasteless and looked as though it had been fried multiple times. This was ordered on a Friday night when you expect them to be producing really good quality food. Will not be returning.

I have purchased takeaway food from this establishment on many occasions and found it too be very good. Unfortunately, this time the meals were bland and tasteless, I telephoned and spoke with them about this and then, they blamed their supplier! If I wanted to cook my own food I would visit their supplier to purchase the raw product however I paid the to prepare a Chinese flavoured meal, all I was served were disgusting spare ribs coated in colouring and totally flavour less. We were unable to reach any resolution on the phone regarding a refund and they more or less said they wanted to replace the food if I returned it, it is a few miles away and I did not want another meal from them as I had lost confidence in their cooking ability and their overall service. I was disappointed and will not return, I did also stare this too them on the telephone however, they seemed unconcerned.

Absolutely disgusting. Everything tasted the same, no flavour whatsoever, everything was sour and they messed up the order. Stay away, not worth the price.

Best Chinese takeaway we've ever had

Seems hit or miss lately - satay chicken as per the image attached, was definitely frozen and then warmed up with Chef Mike. Sauce would hold the shape of the container if it was fresh ... Chicken in both satay chicken and chicken with cashew was not the texture of what should be fresh chicken and tasted watery. Rice was also very bland but overall was hungry and filled a hole. Abit of a shame as this was the place I'd go to in my childhood.

We go here regularly. Food is always excellent and super tasty. Would not go anywhere else. Love the capitol spare ribs especially. Service is always polite and efficient.

Not very nice at all!! Prawn cracker tasted damp Egg fried rice was basically plain rice Chips were like cardboard And cripsy beef was vile beef with mushrooms well need I say more Some good reviews on here but written by the self's for sure

Absolutely rubbish food Wont be coming back

Just picked up my food the attitude of the young girl behind the counter was short abrupt and quite rude . Discussing me behind my back in the kitchen and laughing at me me coz I couldn't remember the name of the sauce. Been going there for 35 years and am disgusted. Was a much better place when the older couple had it . I hope it's in the same family as if it is their parents would be disgusted.

Its terrible you place an order you go there are to pay pay and wait an hour our to get your food won't be going there for long time if ever again

We use the Full Moon regularly for family takeaways and when entertaining guests. Must say that we have never had a bad meal. In fact, we’ve had a number of friends who have now switched to Full Moon for their takeaways after trying the food at our place and being really impressed.

I have been a regular customer here for the past 30 years, as have my family and friends from the locality.

Ordered food over the phone at 6.45, told to come in an hour to collect. Turned up at 8pm thinking my food would be ready. The place was full of people who were waiting for their food, everyone was complaining, it was like sitting in a tin of sardines, people coming in couldn’t even open the door. 1 hour later still wasn’t given my food. Ask the guy behind the counter where my food was i ordered over 2hours ago. I said either serve my food or give me my money back, he didn’t even ask for my food from the kitchen and just gave me my money back.

This was hands down the worst Cantonese I've ever had, it was the first and last time I'd ever order from here.

The food was bland and very odd textured. We had chicken chow mien and the chicken was in large cubes, quite watery and rubbery as it it was frozen chicken.. not very nice at all. Crispy beef was covered in a sauce which was so sweet it made my face twinge. Special fried rice didn’t have much meat to it but again had the bouncy ball chicken chunks. I gave it 1 star because the curry sauce and prawn crackers were decent. I won’t be ordering from here again.

Quite a wait for food, some of the prices high, food fairly good.

The food is nice and the staff are polite but they do not accept card payments as it is cash only.

Nothing flashy but still one of the best Chinese takeaways around. Do some Japanese meals too. Workmanship club opposite will provide you with a pint while you wait! Happy days!

Tasty food good value and great service

Good food 5*, but it seem that you order food at 19:00 they say 30 mins but then when you arrive to pay that's when they start to cook it. 19:30 it was meant to be ready......received the food at 20:11 hence the 3* deduction very disappointing.

The food was amazing,all at let them down was the chips needed cooking once I got them home. I called them and said that the chips were still rock hard and the reply was don’t worry you can have 2 free bags of chips next time

Decent service, efficient. Food was OK. Not the best Chinese I've had. Prawn chow mein was dry, chicken in ginger and spring onion sauce a bit chewy. Just OK unfortunately. Shame after reading all the good reviews.

The new items on the menu are fantastic. If you like good clean Japanese food and a good price then this is the place for you. The prawn toast on the normal menu is the best you will find. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Fab take away.

We have been getting take away meals from the Full Moon for a long time and apart from being told "20 mins" and then waiting another half an hour longer we have always been happy with our food. Tonight we got home (30 mins drive) and they had forgotten to put in the rice. This was a mistake which we all know can happen but when I telephoned they argued and just hung up on me. Not really very good customer service. May be worth checking you have got what you ordered before leaving.

He estado yendo allí durante casi 20 años desde que yo vivía a la vuelta de la esquina. Ahora vivo casi 30 millas de distancia y todavía hacen el esfuerzo para elegir este para llevar cuando puedo, cada plato es un alto nivel de calidad y el personal es amable.

Hemos estado yendo a la Luna Llena por más de 15 años y que hay que me decepcionó. Pedido por adelantado con la Sra. Moon para evitar esperar, los pedidos se toman rápidamente y eficientemente.

Hemos tenido numerosas tiendas de aquí ahora, y nunca me ha decepcionado. No entregar y sólo puede aceptar dinero en efectivo, así que esto es algo para recordar. Buena selección de comidas para elegir y todos son geniales. El servicio es rápido y normalmente no más de 15-20 minutos de espera. Para china Cantonesa será difícil encontrar uno mejor en la zona.

Recomiendo encarecidamente La Full Moon cantonés Llevar. Pedí por teléfono la señora que contestó era muy agradable y nuestra orden estaba listo para recoger cuando llegamos (a 1/2 hora) que elegimos en esta ocasión para pedir el menú para dos libras 18:80 que que normalmente no hacemos pero pensamos que lo pruebes. En el menú también se puede intercambiar dos platos de su preferencia.

Yo no tenía comida para llevar desde aquí por un tiempo. Era realmente agradable. La gamba nórdica tostadas es una visita obligada!!! Orden rápida para cocinar. mujer simpática detrás del mostrador. Asientos cómodos cuando te espera.

This takeaway is better than most. They do take age's with your food. They just need to tweak up the flavour a little more. They take cash only which is a nuisance. Not everyone carriers cash. It would be great if they had a delivery service.

Tasty food, served with a smile. Always busy, which is a very good sign (they have a 5 food hygiene rating, which is another good sign!). The only downside is that they don't deliver.

We sampled this cuisines delights on moving into the area recently and it is to be recommended, food was cooked expertly to a high standard, had a short wait on arrival, despite pre-ordering the food over the telephone, but there was no disappointment on getting home from this order, noodle dishes were cooked to perfection, the curry dish was also cooked expertly and all the sundries were bang on and very tasty.

My family and and friends have been using this take away for the past 20 in that long period of time we have had the very best of service combined with quality and value.You may have to wait for a telephone order because it is that popular and busy. Sue who is at the front of house is excellent and accommodating to your your requirements changing dishes to the set menus is no problem.Try it you will not regret I have tried all other Chinese take aways within a 10 mile radius nothing compares. They do not offer delivery as they struggle to service over the counter customers I think that says everything !!!!

I have been using this takeaway for a number of years and have recently moved to just around the corner (the location of the takeaway had nothing to do with the selection of the house - honestly!!!).I can honestly say that I have not had a bad meal here. It's always been very good quality with a good menu and reasonable prices.We probably eat from here about once a month when we can't be bothered to cook ourselves. Plus it's always useful for the very occasional late night munchies.The staff are friendly and efficient. This takeaway does get busy at times which I think is a good sign. So if you are lucky you can be out of there in five minutes, if you are unlucky, you get to read today's papers and watch a bit of tv while you wait.

Quite possibly the worst Cantonese food I have ever tasted. The meat was awful, the sauce was clearly from a packet that you just add water too and all of it was tasteless. We phoned the order through to save waiting and was told it would be ready in twenty minutes so arrived to pick up the order after twenty minutes and still had to wait a further fifteen-twenty minutes before the order was ready.

Eat at the full moon at least once a week, by far my favourite take away. Service is great, very welcoming every time. And the food is fantastic. Highly recommended
