Had a fabulous steak there and our doggies were also allowed in, Liam was very accommodating - recommended.

Fabulous food, prompt service and a friendly atmosphere. I had peppered chicken, OH had a rack of BBQ ribs. Both very good.

Went for a christmas dinner it was absolutely fantastic lovely atmosphere brilliant service thank you very much .

First time coming to the hafodyrynys for our anniversary well I must say what an amazing experience meals was amazing and massive could not fault the gentleman behind the bar, we will definitely be returning.

Pleasent environment, lovely open real fire. Friendly, accomodating staff. The food was really nice,cooked well. Overall a good experience, will certainly go again for a typical pub menu. A lovely evening out. Yet again a lovely few hours with nice food, although prices have gone up, still average cost for some menu choices. Disappointed with the facilities, but understandably due to ladies bathroom closed due to a major leak.

Went for a Sunday roast with the family, service was excellent and the food even better! The roast was plentiful and tasted great. Desert was the topper of the day with everyone agreeing how good they was. Highly recommended!

Not a fan of Sunday lunch but the meal was fantastic choice of beef, turkey lamb,and pork all served with fresh cooked veg I highly recommend it staff very friendly and the service was first rate

Twelve of us went to my brothers 70th birthday meal on 26th July, food was excellent, service was excellent, hosts were very friendly & welcoming, would definitely visit here again, well done, top marks.

Never been here and was looking for place for a meal within reasonable distance from home. Booked a table for 4, welcomed with a friendly greeting. Food was lovely, well presented and quite large portions. A pleasant experience which will be repeated.

We went to the Hafodyrnys Inn for my Dad's 70th birthday, there were 28 of us altogether and we couldn't of asked for better service, the staff were amazing and the food was delicious, we will definitely be returning in the future

Beautiful Sunday cooked dinner. Everything cooked perfect and quickly presented after ordering, despite being very busy. Overall very happy for the very modest price of £11 each meal.

12 of us there, we were served on time, together, anything we required was made available to us. Quality, service and amount of food was fantastic. Couldn't do enough for us.

Just come back from having a afternoon meal. The 4 of us had fish and chips plus peas and salad. As always excellent meal. The 4 us all said the fish was outstanding. Keep up the good meals and the service

My first time visiting the Hafodyrynys Inn and it was for a works Christmas meal and I wasn't disappointed. Lovely food, good drinks prices and a nice atmosphere. Staff were brilliant too. Looking forward to going back.

Me and my partner had lunch here today - all very organised - I had rump steak sizzler & other half had chicken curry - we both had strawberry knickerbokerglory for afters - service good and food piping hot - we will be returning again in near future - good food and good value x

Shockingly, this is the first time I stepped into this friendly pub. Absolutely no faults, great staff, great pub and great drinks, will look to make an appearance more often when riding this way again and again.

Went in for a pint with the dog. After a 10 minute wait by the bar I asked was it dog friendly to one of the staff. She went to ask some one. On returning, she said no as the restaurant was just over there, in the next room!! Sadly with a hygiene score of 4 your loss....... I would recommend the DARRAN IN RISCA very friendly, modern, good size car park.

First Sunday lunch here . Superb food. Will be back .

Food was lovely, friendly and polite service, atmosphere was very welcoming.

Booked table for 7.30, as it was a large party was told to email options to them. We did this , but then when we got there they said they never received it , so had to order again. Eventually had the food around 9pm. This is not how you run a restaurant.

Hugely disappointing evening. Arrived in the afternoon to set up back.room for my son in laws 30th birthday bash. Added loads of decorations including balloons, banners, bunting and confetti on the tables. Well impressed with the look of room after it was done. Arrived just after 7 to be greeted with tables moved and one large table missing and no confetti!!! When I asked the reason behind it I was abruptly informed 'that it was needed'. Utter shambles!! All confetti was removed as it gets onto glasses then clogs the dishwasher....really!! No customer service, in dire need of refurbishment and bit of a shambles with food order. Bit of variety ordered but food brought out in dribs and drabs....main meal but waiting for chips, this didnt make any sense as meal going cold waiting for chips! And the pinicle of my night was my SWEET Steak and ale pie which was full of gravy with 2 measly pieces of steak. Total piss take. Glad to leave that night and will never return

Absolutely fabulous. Brilliant service, friendly and professional. We were a large party. The food service was faultless. Hot food, generous portions. No one had to wait. Food was very, very good. Exceptional considering the size of our party. Would highly recommend.. Will be returning without a doubt. Thank you to the staff and management. Five stars are not enough!!!!

Nice cheap in price and good quality food and friendly staff

Lovely food, shocking service. Would not go back unless they sort staffing out. Had to clear table ourselves after plates being left there for over an hour and we were two desserts short after waiting another hour between courses and when I queried where they were someone came back to say they had run out. No apologies at any time we were waiting

Photographed a wedding party here. Room upstairs was decorated beautifully. We were lucky enough to have food, it was lovely and lots of it. Will be back for a Sunday Lunch soon. Staff were very helpful and friendly too.

We had two meals this evening and they were very nice good honest food no BS. Bar man was very attenive and polite , this was my first visit

Good food, good price and a warm welcome.

Poor service. 2.5hrs wait with 2 kids. Dirty place. It was a group booking that they we're informed of days before. We sat waiting in the pub for 2.5 hours whilst you we're serving other customers. You didn't even have the decency to apologise.
