Good Fortune in Newtownabbey

After waiting 2 hours on a delivery we rang and cancelled our order!! Tbh I don't think our food was ever arriving 🤬 Flipping joke of a place!!

Been going here for years, the food has never disappointed, but lately the chips have suffered, as used to be real potatoes, unfortunately like most, the frozen has invaded, leaving taste a tad bit lacking. But that's the only downside, as for the rest, it's always up front. The service is and always was excellent.

Will go on reviews at a later date to post my opinion on good fortune. Not impressed.

Bought from here for first time and glad I did, the delivery was fast and the food was better than expected, really tasty and quantity was great, I will definitely be buying from here again.

Excellent special fried rice dish and ribs is so delicious I always get that. The standards v high. A great takeaway only place.

ALTHOUGH ORDER WRONG BEFORE WE TRIED AGAIN, guess what ORDER WRONG AGAIN, SEEMS THAT WHEN BUSY THEY SEND FRIED RICE INSTEAD OF BOILED RICE, SOORY AS BEFORE ALLERGY-CANT EAT FRIED RICE FOR THE SECOND TIME. Wrong order delivered, charged for delivery although full order returned, use somewhere else.

Food is great but no need to be asked about atmosphere as it's a takeaway. Counter staff r friendly which is what counts

Efficient service and speedy delivery

Might not look like too much from outside but the food is always top quality. Staff are all friendly and service is fast even at busy times. My goto chinese in the area. Prices have been going up a bit recently like most places but you always get plenty of food.

Able to get what we wanted quite quickly, even with the receptionist taking the time to check around vegetarian suitability for one of our dishes. All in all, great service for what we wanted.

Worst Honey Chilli Chicken I have ever had, very disappointing!!

A great find. The only Chinese place to go to. All food is hot and so tasty never had a bad meal ever. Keep up the good work!!

Portion size is ok, prices are ok and the food is good, their sweet and sour is the best in the area!

Was staying at a local camp site decided to try this takeaway... Had chicken curry and rice... Was tasty enough but there was 1cm of grease floating on top of the curry sauce in the container..

Best Chinese I've tried in Newtownabbey. Unbeatable salted chilli chicken in sauce! Delivery does take a while sometimes, but thats because its very popular

Quite a while since I last ordered here and it's still one of the best curries in Newtownabbey.

Great food friendly staff & good delivery service. My regular Saturday night treat. Highly recommend the chicken curry & the bbq ribs. The sweet & sour chicken is lovely too.

Delivery was very fast and chips were lovely! However the batter was too thick on the chicken. The salt and chilli chicken didnt have much flavour and the honey chilli chicken was like syrup! It had way too much honey in it and barely any chilli! Left half my food. Not a touch on New Century!

Sorry to say this but I had an awful experience after eating from this takeaway so won't be returning or recommending it to anyone

Have been getting from this Chinese for years. Even though I don’t live in Belfast anymore, it’s my first stop once off the plane. Fantastic flavour in their curried dishes. Couldn’t recommend more.

Place is bit dirty looken but are quick with the food!

Always packed particularly Saturday nights. Had special curry last night, first in a while having tried 'other' Chinese takeaways in Newtownabbey and the Good Fortune beats them all. A good sign too of hygiene like it or not is seeing the chef out the front smoking when he could just as easily have a puff out the back where food would probably be prepared and where customers wouldn't see.

Nice food but delivery can take a while when they are busy

Had the most tasty chinese in a long time. Chips aren't them typical take away ones, they are lovely. Would recommend 100%.

Went for a take away tonight a b4 ordering I asked 3 times about a dish and had it chicken in after being assured it defo did t arrived home to do d it had chicken all through it wen I foned them they said if I drove back from Carrick to bring it back they might change it they wouldn't even deliver it even though it was THEIR mistake so a big disappointment.

Discover at home that my order got mix up, call them and straight away they delivered what was mixed up to my home address. 5 stars to you guys

Good food and you don't have to wait long

I have ate food from here for Almost 14yrs. I have met the girl assissants on front have good helpful and good customer service. Hè food is very good, and get quality portions. And the shop is clean, and inviting.

Worst Chinese ive ever had! Both meat dishes where complete mush and tasteless and spring rolls full of nothing but beanspouts and sweetcorn with the arse falling out of them as soon as they where lifted onto the plate,after spending £25 on a meal id expect better than that owner dosent speak good English so no point complaining, will never order again!

Been buying out of here for years and never been disappointed yet. Whether European or Chinese, and the menu continues to grow so you can really find something you like.

Great food and prices with proper chips

Excellent food, friendly service and speedy delivery. Only downside is that you can't pay by card and as far as I'm aware this Chinese isn't on sites like Just Eat or Niftynosh
