Golden Valley in Glasgow City

There was 5 of us in today we go often but todays mains were very poor my girlfriend left her full chicken fried rice told them it wasn’t nice they still charged us all the other mains were bland beef was very tough won’t be back shame bill wasn’t cheap as well lovely restraunt but very poor quality of food today.

I had chicken balls and chips very tasty fast service

Prawn salad , chicken balls, chips. Didn't feel like cooking. Perfect as always ..

Been eating here for over 45 years . Never disappointed.

I couldn’t of asked for better Chinese that was so freshly and made with loving Roasted pork fried rice Salt and better chips so soft Chicken balls Curry sauce Will be ordering from Here again

The man got my order totally wrong. Delivery driver apologised.

The wonderful staff here know what vegan is and kindly advise their staff on preparing vegan-friendly options. We always get the mixed veg with saté/Sichuan sauce and fried rice without egg. Top quality

nice friendly staff small issue is don't take cards cash only but not a major problem

We ordered five meals for my son and friends. They advised a one hour delivery time, but waited more than two and a half hours for delivery which is an absolute disgrace. Looking at reviews, this appears to happen frequently and when the order eventually arrived, the delivery driver told us that some people have been waiting three to four hours.Whilst chasing up the order on several occasions, we were promised a discount but when the delivery arrived, the driver had no knowledge of this and requested the full amount.Also worth pointing out they do not accept card payment ? I find this very suspicious but draw your own conclusions.I will certainly never use them again.

Always good food and fantastic service

I wouldnt even give them 1 star after tonight's performance! Delivery driver was amazing the lady on the phone was horrible got my order wrong waited 2 and a half hours for it to come back out the driver asked for half the curry back (untouched) and the rice that i put out on the plate 2 and a half hours before, when i called to say that i put the rice on the plate she was refusing the driver to give me the curry as she would have got the sack! Threatened me with the police for "stealing rice" although it was them that got my order wrong! And there always changing their prices. Shocking behaviour will not be back! Golden star all the way!

Have been a customer for only six motns food delivery 💯 staff put in a situation they can't control once you become a regular food 1:30:m ordered 2 fried rice to curry sauce a Singapore char Sui discussing prawns novrice noodles chow mein with 3 shreds of pork rest prawns which I am allergic to please don't waste you're money I will take tonight's meal back tomorrow the not Singapore char Sui that the counter staff placed the local authorities will know I received sea food in a meal I could have had anafolitic shock as prawns were not visible the only advice at calling for the 3rd time 8:15/945 was do you want to cancel seriously the counter staff and delivery drivers deserve a better employer discussted

This is were I get our takeaway most Saturday night food is fantastic no complaints but tonight I phoned my order in as I always do and was told 15mins to collect but waited over 45mins sorry I won't be back

Disappointed with my order , food wasn't great , most of it went in the bin, used to be good , won't be back .

Stopped using this place a while ago but recently decided to give it another go & was not dissapointed. Food & delivery service is spot on 👍

Been using this Chinese over 30 yrs now. I moved out of the area but still travel back to it when we want Chinese. Love it.

So this place gets 5 stars because of consistent good food every time I use it. There is parking outside of it but be careful as the road is in constant use and is busy. No wheel hair user access. Due to coronavirus it is currently operating a phone your order in service and you turn up and pay and collect.. I thoroughly recommend you do this as it just works. You actually turn up and your order is ready. Pay for it and go. Completely minimising time spent in shop. Staff wear face coverings at all times. The shop accepts cash payments only. Honestly peeps the food has been delicious everytime I use them. Enjoy!

Better choice of dishes than ALL local takeaways. Very friendly and helpful staff. Get yourself a menu for this place. Food was very tasty.

Ok but wasn't very warm was only five minutes away time i got home had to reheat

Got a take way waitet for a while for it when it came the chips were cold and what we had from the menue was not good will not be back

This is our local Chinese - the food is usually of a good quality. The chicken balls especially are tasty and the rice is always decent! The food is usually ready by the stated time and is piping hot. Useful for a takeaway as you come off the train!

Won't be back has to be the worst Chinese food in the east end. Asked for extra hot sauce and it was plain no spice at all and salt and chilli chicken had no flavour.

Been using this Chinese for age's now. Got my order wrong tonight. Can't complain though they fixed it out straight away. As usual food was excellent Staff top notch in kitchen and out front.

My local Chinese takeaway. Friendly staff. Good food. Haven't tried everything and I tend to be a creature of habit and order from a selection of 5 or 6 dishes that I like. Love the combination satay.

Never use any other Chinese, but after tonights meal we will be going else where. There has been changes from Janet left, although its still the same chef things have changed. Such a shame as counter staff are so nice. Very dissapoineted tonight!!

I've been using golden valley for around 35 even after Michael passed the business on to his family. I have never once been disappointed!! The staff are awaits friendly and helpful. The delivery staff are quick and efficient.

Driver never came phoneed 3 times so disappointed 😞 if I could I would give no star

Never had any problems with golden valley .plus I like to fone my order to collect or get delivery in the staff could not be any nicer ..

After years of trusting golden Valley I will no longer use as they have decided to cut corners in their practice and will not rectify after complain about the order I now realise why they are not part of the just eat company very hungry unhappy customer £23 out of pocket
