Glorias Takeway and Pizzeria in Midlothian

Used to come here for years and fish was always fresh and crispy, Haven’t been for a while but decided to get a delivery. The delivery which took over an hour and was not the time promised when ordered. The fish was luke warm, The batter was hard, thick and stodgy You could have bounced the fish off the wall!!!!!! Felt like it had been cooked and left under a heat lamp for hours. They really have went downhill. Is there no competition so have they got complacent? The chips weren’t that much better. Certainly won’t be back

Waited for an hour and 20mins, food arrived and it was wrong. Husband phoned them and they obviously thought we were lying and said they would send the correct burger but had to exchange it for the wrong one as the chef had made so many burgers that he needed proof !! Asked for sauce on my order, got none and was told over the phone I hadn’t ordered it even though it’s on my receipt !! Would definitely not recommend or use again !

Just got a special fish, it was absolutely horrible, over cooked and dry. Will not be going near that place again. Maybe try Pias next time.

Waited over 35 minutes for food that was in view ,and paid forin the glass hot top,wasn’t waiting anymore and requested a refund

No grease. No joke. This is some of the best pizza in bonnyrigg, high quality! The value is average but for a takewaway, the food is great. I highly recommend this chippy for a newcomer in bonnyrigg!

Used to love this chippy food was always great! Not so much recently I'm afraid.... food is consistently luke warm, over cooked or under cooked (inserted a picture of mozzarella sticks... surely you would look at these and say no not sending these out) anyway we have decided to go with a different chippy from now on just wanted to give a review. This is based on delivery so maybe it's different when you pick up I dont know

had to wait over an hour to deliver cold donner meat not happy 2 words wont be back however my friend enjoyed his wrap dk how mines was pish

Ordered pizza and pasta, both were excellent! The app great for ordering, fast delivery. Highly recommend.

Always use Glorias and food is excellent, but last few times a have ordered Kebabs the portions have been getting smaller and smaller each time, very disappointing

Absolutely delicious and really fresh. The delivery driver, young lady, was so lovely abs friendly. Twice been here, twice big thumbs up.. will be back!

One of my local takeaways. Always giving consistently good fish suppers, homemade steak pies., a nice option rather than deep fried. The staff are always helpful and friendly.

Order was completely wrong and got passed to 3 different people before they understood the problem is it that hard to rectify things

Real italian pizza, great selection on food, and surprisingly quick service. Ordered for the third time, delivery was fast. Last time in the shop Davide served us, he is a happy chap full of good jokes... I certainly recommend their pizza, they have new ice slush, the kids love them.

Great local chippy with wonderful staff. Deliverys and now back open for pick up with good social distancing in place - only 2 customers allowed in at once with the rest waiting outside. We do love a munchie box on treat nights

I used to use another competitor but never again the mixed meat kebab and chicken kebab were fantastic even delivered fast well done guys steve and jan burnbrae :-}

I used to love Gloria’s, and order takeaway pizza regularly, atleast once a week, but got a pizza on Tuesday night, my husband ordered a mushroom pizza, and when we opened it it had 3 bits of chicken on it! I’m a vegetarian so this was not good. I called the restaurant and the guy was so rude and said I was lying!!!! We had to take the pizza back to the shop to prove there was bits of chicken on it. No compensation offered, no apology, just really rude staff members. Feels Gloria’s has really gone downhill :(

I have always been a fan of glorias and have been going since it opens maybe once or twice a month. Unfortunately the last two times its not been that good. The pizzas are very stodgy and kebabs are not a fresh. Not sure whats going on. Now looking for somewhere else (help)

We love getting the wraps from their. My hubby gets Donner and I get the chargrilled chicken with chilli sauce, amazing.. Good food and quick delivery

Just been in ordered a 10 inch pizza with cheese and onion , got home opened up had s bite and the cheese wasn’t melted on the pizza , got a full refund .i asked why this was and my answer was something to do with the cheese

I went into this chip shop not knowing how good it was going to be...let me tell you it is amazing as I now go here regularly!!! Let’s talk about the staff, they are always extremely busy and no wonder if they’re serving food like that, they try their hardest to please each and every customer as you can tell the way the counter and delivery staff are. Even though it gets very busy they try and send your food out as fast as possible, honestly with how busy they get I don’t know how they do it!!! I got a pizza, pasta and a fish supper once and let me tell you they were amazing!! They’re fish is cooked to perfection so crisp and fresh (unlike other places) they’re pizza is so delicious and always pipping hot whenever we get a delivery, the delivery staff are so friendly and even through the tough weather they always get to us no matter what, they’re pasta is unbelievable good, I’ve been to restraints that don’t even serve pasta like that!! They’re staff are amazing, always up for a chat and are very friendly and welcoming, you can tell that the Gloria’s community are passionate about what they do as you taste how good the food is and you feel welcomed all the time. I cannot day good enough things about this place and I am so eager to get my pals to try it, if you haven’t already please please please do!!!

This is by far best fish and chip shop in Bonnyrigg. Very clean lovely friendly staff. We get delivery about once a week and have never had a bad meal yet. Fish and chips are lovely. Pastas are all home cooked, portions are massive aswell. And its very resonably priced aswell great value for money.

After going here a lot of times and getting great fish & chips etc, decided to try pizza / pasta.

We often order from here through just eat. The menu so good. They have a range of deals at great prices. Lots of options and the food tastes great. We have never had any problems with food here. If you order delivery, they are fast. Overall very reliable, tasty and plenty of options to suit all tastes.

Been a regular customer for quite a few months now, our favourite takeaway in the area. Always pay attention to the notes on just eat, which lots of places ignore. Even had messages back written on the bag with a smiley face :-) Great value, great quality food and generous sized portions for the price. Delivery usually on time, which is good as we are a few miles away

Cannot praise Gloria's enough. Without doubt the best chip shop I have ever used. Consistently delivers beautifully cooked food, crispy chips, perfect pizza's, amazing kebabs...cannot fault anything from the menu. Don't believe any bad reviews. I've been using them since opening and whilst all takeaways will have the odd bad day, it's literally 1 in 100 from here....try yourself and you'll agree! Thanks to all the staff and all the best!!!

Fish supper was ordered, the large option. If this was late wouldn't really care for the small. Fish was hidden amongst thick, THICK batter, which was raw close to fish. Very unappetising. Definitely the worst fish I've had in recent memory.

Glorias, is a chipper with a very mixed history in Bonnyrigg, having been many incantations of the same substance, a fish and chip shop. Glorias food is at best okay and at worst well dry and overcooked. There are certainly better chippies in the Midlothian Area.

Great selection of traditional takeaway meals at reasonable prices. Staff are pleasant and prepare quality food.

Un aviso en la ventana dijo el populacho en Bonnyrigg que el cierre era llevar durante 3 semanas por cambios. . . . insuficiente, por decir lo menos. . vimos a hordas de los obreros rip en el lugar hasta que fue a un shell. . Luego la opacas desde fuera mientras que empezaron en la transformación en el interior. . Qué transformación. . Una gran espacioso restaurante. Mucho espacio. que ahora tiene mesas y sillas para los comensales informal para disfrutar de su comida o un asiento cómodo mientras espera en su pedido de ser preparados. . . . El mismo personal tienen un ojo en glint intheir como la que sirven en su nuevo edificio. . . . . La comida es tan buena como siempre y el lugar es un crédito para el largo de los propietarios establecidos. . . . Bien hecho Gloria y David. . . Pero ¿cuál era su padre diciendo acerca de su transformación. . Apuesta que quedó impresionado..

I ordered a spaghetti carbonara, was half way through eating it and ended up finding a pool of oil. Seeing this put me off carbonara, I will not be buying from here again. I do not recommend Gloria's to anyone.

Este "fish and chips" es terrible! El personal es tan irrespetuoso llamó para pedir una simple pregunta y me dijeron que no tenían tiempo para que el "orden" estaba congelada y mal, así llamó de nuevo y me dijeron que el problema básicamente y se negó a cambiar. No dejes que una rata comer desde allí nunca los seres humanos la mente.

Got mixed rap and chips and cheese from here was the worst I ever tasted dinner was dry so was chicken they also trying charging me £1 each for some chilli sauce and salad dressing squirted on chips, attitude from staff wasn't pleasant advice I would say is stay clear!

Visit here a lot. Staff all very friendly. Munchie box is amazing and really good value for money. Quick delivery service also.

We get a carry out from Glorias once a week and it's always really good. Fish freshly cooked, loads of variety of pizzas and staff are really friendly. Highly recommended

Amazing ! Brilliant food here and all our deliveries have been super fast too. Can highly recommend the Chicken Calzone definitely a family favourite. Fish is usually huge too! Well worth it.😊

Very good for what it is. In a town that has 3 similar establishments that are all equally good. Good solid traditional fried food.

Nos alojamos en un parque local de caravanas y decidimos tratar a nuestro hijo a una pizza de cumpleaños. Pedimos a Gloria, ya que había una variedad fantástica para todo el mundo para elegir. Fue absolutamente chucking, y sin embargo el conductor de entrega se desvivió para conseguir la seguridad y llegaba a través a la furgoneta, así que no se moje. Qué linda cap. La comida que pedimos estaba delicioso. Sin duda orden desde aquí de nuevo si cerca.

Fair for what you pay. Depends on what chef is on to how good you want your food to be. I suppose it's the same everywhere though.
