it was very dark inside,pizza was soggy ,cheese was very rubbery,my chips were basically potatoes,i seen a mouse run about do not go

Ordered ubereats. Had my old phone number in Ubereats and delivery person couldn't find the house and couldn't contact me. But they were nice enough to send it again when I called and gave them my new number

I’ve been ordering (takeaway) from this place for years. The current team just don’t have the touch. Last time we ordered one of the pizzas was under cooked and partly inedible. So several weeks later ( today) ordered online… I arrived in, heard staff say my pizza sitting on top of the over was already good to go, just waiting on the chips. Waited a further 10 minutes and was told they were nearly ready. I stated that my pizza was already at least 10 mins old and cold. Staff apart from the chef were indifferent. They made a new pizza but all in it took 50 mins to get my order. Sadly I’ll not be back

By far the best proper Italian pizza in Ards. We have been ordering from Giuseppe's for a good while now and the food is always perfect! We tried their new upstairs restaurant. The food was top notch and the service was very friendly and attentive. Portions are very generous. Will definitely be back.

I order the penne pepperoni pasta and it was awful and dripping with grease I couldn’t eat it, got another person to try it in case it was just me but they said it taste as if someone was sick in the sauce🤢 never be ordering again.

Disappointing, pizza slightly under cooked and then got folded over in the box turning it into a doughy mess before we had even started, toppings either loaded onto one slice or not at all, and a real overkill with the toppings. Sorry but not for me

Pizzas were good, never had a problem with the service until it was late one night and a driver with blonde hair I think, quite chubby that has delivered for years brought me my food, it looked like there had been 1-2 slices taken out and one smaller slice put in I instantly opened the door and give the driver the food back and asked him about a replacement he then follows that up by telling me that the restaurant is closed and I could not contact for another pizza I contacted and the manager give me my food directly, but the manager said the driver returned with a full pizza which didn’t even look like the one I had received from the picture the one in the pic was fine and I would have had no reason to return it, that was no hassle, now I ordered and the person on the other side of the phone had missed that I said gluten free so I returned the pizza only to have the manager phone me back and tell me I would have to pay for another pizza on-top of the one I had already sent back as it is wasting toppings and it is the second incident to this address, no the first incident was your driver and this was a simple misunderstanding that could have been easily resolved. But now it had ended up with me waiting an hour and a half from the time I ordered fro them just to return my money anyway, I need to watch when I eat and what food I eat and they done absolutely nothing at all, now this will have me up most of the night as I still haven’t eaten anything, I can say for sure it’s the last time I’ll be dealing with them.

Ok, had takeaway quite alot from here. Great wee business. However, improvements are needed regarding the food. The chips are awful, soggy and cheap tasting. The pizzas are just ok. Sometimes they are burnt, not enough cheese. The BBQ sauce isn't nice- meant to be sweet but its not.Dominos BBQ is better.

It may say Giuseppe's on the door but this is not the Giuseppe's of old. The place inside is dark and not very welcoming. Nobody looks like they're in charge. The chips aren't great, the spaghetti bolognese was average and not very warm. I haven't been here for a while as we usually got a delivery over lock down but I certainly won't be in a rush to go back. Maybe we can look at other alternatives as Giuseppe's was our 'go to' Italian in the good old days.

Vile!! If I could give no stars I would. Normally we go to bangor for pizza to piccola which has the best pizza in the world. Unfortunately we couldnt go tonight so went to guiseppes instead even though a few years ago I got an artery in my lasagna which is why we hadnt been back. Well I wish we hadnt because now I'm starving and £15 worse off. Cheese and ham. Well I dont know what sort of ham that was but it was more like spam in little rectangular chunks it was disgusting. the cheese wasnt mozzarella which is whats advertised. Tasted more like plastic. Crust was burnt and the whole base tasted burnt this was the most disgusting thing I've ever had the misfortune to taste. I had to spit it out. What a waste of money and I'm still hungry

Honestly the pizza was burnt , ordered a carbonara pizza , don’t know what they mean by cream base , it tasted like screamed egg with cheese in , and there was no chicken on it ,just bacon . Won’t be ordering again .

Nice pizza, but a bit too expensive for what you get. Worked out more costly than dominoes. £6 for a tiny Margherita £10 for a decent sized one. Same prices as dominoes, but they do deals where I can get as many toppings as I want for that, or multiple pizzas. And I don't go there cos it's too expensive too.

Fantastic pizza. One of the best I've tasted in the whole of Northern Ireland. The bread is so good you don't want a dip. The base is very thin and crisp. The crust is crisp on the outside but light and airy on the inside. There is a slight char on the bread that reminds me of the pizza in Naples. The sauce and cheese are great. There was a good amount of toppings. The garlic butter chips were also surprisingly good. They were not soggy. No complaints about the staff, wait time or pricing. I can't wait to go again.

Ordered on Saturday night at half 8 through the app and had to ring at 10:15 to check where order is to be told the system never printed order docket girl on phone was very helpful and got pizza up in 20 mins with 2 free ice creams. Unfortunately my pizza had basically no sauce on it so was very dry. Very disappointed in this.

Strongly advise getting pizza from here 1. Delivery driver charged £1.50 more than what girl quoted on phone 2. That's the thinnest pizza base I've ever come across with bearly enough cheese on it to cover base 3. 14 inch pizza ordered you'd be lucky if it was 12 inch In all would have been better going to dominoes and cheaper, shame cause this really was a great pizza place years ago

Recently deliveries have taken a lot longer than normal with the longest time being 1hr 35 mins from time of order. In that particular order, the pizzas were not fully cooked as well. I sent two emails about this but did not receive any response. I also attempted to call the shop but got through to a full mailbox. Finally I decided to respond to them on a social media post but still received no response. This evening we decided to order again. The text confirmation we received states food should be delivered within the hour. After waiting 65 minutes I called to check on the order status… The pizzas were not yet in the pizza oven. The staff member mentioned that they were very busy, but customers should not receive lesser service based on how busy you are. At peak times, more staff/drivers can be employed to cover the increased demand. At least I was able to get through to the restaurant this time, rather than the mailbox full message. He mentioned that we would get the pizzas in 30 mins and this was correct as the pizzas were delivered after waiting 1h 35mins again. The delivery driver was very apologetic. The issue was not his though, but it was nice to see he was aware of the delay. The pizzas we received were great so it was nice to see the quality of the food was back to normal. I requested a partial refund and they did grant us a 25% (which we have not yet received, but expect it to take a few days). I don’t think we will order from Giuseppes again as this has happened more than once in the last few weeks so this is an ongoing issue and I believe it will not be resolved in the short term. Outside of these recent issues, the pizzas are good and I would recommend them, but only if you are in Ards and able to order/pickup from the store. Otherwise, there are plenty of other pizza restaurants capable of delivering ordered food within an hour in the area

I gave them another chance to cook my pizza after under cooked experience last time...I called back after placing my order and asked for a well done pizza...it was delivered cold and raw again that's me done now....really annoyed

Sicilian pizza except for Hawaiian is pineapple Sicilian? Tasty food Sicilian,Margareta with anchovies and the afore mentioned Hawaiian. Burgers served also.largr,large and a medium size

Took our order then cancelled it and didn't bother calling. Their food might be great but who knows, it could also be terrible. Maybe one day we will order and it will arrive and then I'll let you know.

Ordered tonight, meal for 2x garlic bread 20 min told for pick up,40 min later, pizza cold,garlic bread cold,chips not cook right, only thing was good was the diet coke ,sad days was always first place I would go for pizza, not now

We absolutely love Giuseppes! Their food is consistently amazing, dough is made fresh on site, fresh toppings too which really makes the difference, the staff are awesome & always have time to make you feel welcome. It seems everywhere is jumping on the burger revolution these days. I'm glad Giuseppes have! The new burgers are actually incredible. Big thick patties with a tonne of flavour. They have kept them simple & got them right!!!

Seems to have gone downhill. We have used Giuseppe's for over 20 years, but this last few months the pizzas are definitely not as good as they were and the prices seem to keep going up!. Crust too thick and doughy, too soft underneath, all the toppings just slide off. I've had the Sicilian for years but it's just bland now, something has changed in the recipe and the ingredients. Taking a break for a while, will try again in 6 months hopefully will have improved

Great selection of 🍕 and always perfect not only 🍕 but burgers etc as well. Well worth a try for a wee change.

Tried the Spaghetti Carbonara tonight and I wasn't a big fan of it. I'm relieved I got the personal deal as a back-up because I couldn't stomach the Carbonara. Don't get me wrong, the Carbonara wasn't awful or anything but it isn't something that I would personally go out of my way to order out of here again. I think whenever it comes to Giuseppe's I'll stick with the pizzas and chips. As for the pasta dishes I'll let them be. Delivery is fast, food is reasonably priced and the staff are friendly. Would definitely recommend to anyone who is in the mood for a pizza. Food is gorgeous.

Recently visited the newly opened coffee shop and was greatly impressed by both the service and quality of the coffee. Would have no hesitation in recommending and will definitely return.

First Saturday night trading expected a few hic ups but there werent any. Tables well socially distanced. Starters were Meatballs which I believe were excellent wasnt allowed to try them . I had Chicken wings with Barb B Q dip they were a little well cooked for my taste but that may be personal choice. I was disapponted there were no Funghi Belle had always enjoyed those many years ago. We both had Pizza which were delicious I asked for some onion with mine and was surprised to be charged £2.50 for them it was a tablespoon at most. I was also charged £1.00 for bar b q dip even though that was not mentioned on the menu. Tiramasu for dessert was enjoyed by other half. Will we go back yes probably but just didnt feel it was like a nite out the way some other establishments in the town do. We shall see. Ps Waitress was lovely 😊

Giuseppes's pizzas are undoubtedly the best in Newtownards, the products are super fresh and the dough is clearly 100% Italian. They told me that they will open the restaurant soon and I am looking forward to going to eat at Giuseppe's. 100% recommended place.

Wow excellent food, this is really made to traditional standards, the base is not frozen and perfect dough which had been stretched and fresh ingredients, having suffered the rest this is the best ! By a long way, they even managed to emulate my personal favourites from Sicily 👍 They really should open a restaurant as this food straight out of the oven is “Top Notch 🍕10 out of 10” ❤️

I'm so sorry to inform you wee had issues with chicken on 3 of are pizzas, it tasted very stale an dry!Sadly wee picked it off all chicken from pizzas as best wee could however 2 12" an 10" could be hardly eatting, I've had issues before an said nothing it was again a £32 order, I've used you guys loads so was very shocked, I never voiced complicates it's not me how ever since I had to order other foods I felt I needed to address this issue I tried to via direct contact of email an repeatedly got error

Decided to try the garlic potatoes as seen people saying they were great. Got home with them and they were so brown overcooked and burnt in places. Disappointed as if not for this they probably would have been great

Have been getting pizzas from here for years since the old Giuseppe first opened. They were always delicious and good value for money. Have been getting them from the new owners since they took over but unfortunately i think standards have dropped. I agree with a previous reviewer that the pizza has got smaller with less toppings and less taste. Last week i ordered two pizzas, which were delivered. My son took a first bite and said that there was something among the toppings. He then removed a piece of metal from his mouth. We didnt know what it was but i phoned straight away and spoke to the manager to inform her of what had happened. I was informed to rebox both pizzas and she would call up. After about 15 mins the manager called with 2 fresh pizzas and gave a full refund and took pics of piece of metal. Fair play for getting refund and replacement pizzas. I was informed that i would get a phone call from the owner or that he would call up. I am very disappointed that the owner has not found this incident serious enough to make contact a week later. I kept the said item to show/give to him in order to investigate but as he cant be bothered, i will now send it off to be investigated. With a new pizza rest opening up soon not far away, i would suggest that he needs to up his game.

I've ordered from Giuseppe 's twice. 1st order took forever. When I phoned to find out where it was I was told that I had received it. After repeatedly saying that I hadn't, the shop phoned the driver who had delivered it to the wrong house. Replacement were send. Tonight I Ordered pizzas for the 2nd time to be delivered at 7.30. They arrived at 5.30 I phoned and the shop apologised and told me the food would be delivered at the right time. 8pm.. no food.. I phoned again and it had left. It arrived a couple of minutes later, absolutely freezing. So cold I've had to put It in the oven. Never again.

Unfortunately the amazing guiseppes that I've been going to since the late 80's has turned into a pizza hut style takeaway ( twice the price for half the size!) Also pizzas are made and prepared by teenagers, was always lovely getting pizzas made by the older Italian.

Pizza made fresh right before your eyes in a very clean environment! What more do you want !! Both pizzas where amazing very little flop, base was well cooked and crust cooked perfectly and there where plenty of toppings!! Proper pizza!! I would also like to thank the staff member who took our order who pointed out that for £2 more we could get 2 sides and a bottle of coke!! Molte grazie!!

Collected from Newtownards because the Donaghadee store no longer opens on Mondays and really regret the decision to do so. The pizza initially served was actually black in colour and blistered as it had been burnt so badly, I have no clue how this was allowed to leave the store. Thankfully I had checked the pizza in my car to see if it was cold as it had been left sitting for 5 minutes waiting for the chips to be brought out. I returned the order and the woman was very apologetic, said she would get me a replacement pizza and keep the chips warm, she then gave me back the original pizza (which I binned due to it being completely inedible). I was then extremely disappointed to find the chips were stone cold and that the replacement pizza was basically a margherita due to the lack of toppings. Hoping the Donaghadee store returns to Monday openings as I have been completely put off by the Newtownards counterpart. Sadly my pregnant partner was waiting on this meal to be brought back and was left unfulfilled.

Just ordered pizza first time ordering from this pizza place got the wrong pizza so sent out what was suppose to be the right pizza and it was wrong again.. binned it complete waste of £25 will never order from this company again!

It was ok . The toppings on the pizza are very sparse.and I don't think it was in the oven long enough. I get garlic chips and they are always very soggy just like a slimy greasy chip. I wouldn't rush to go back here.

Las pizzas de Giussepe’s son realmente buenas, a pesar de que la pizza es una comida básica, es muy difícil encontrar una pizza que sea muy buena, y aquí las pizzas lo son. Desde luego es mi pizzería favorita, ojalá abran una en Belfast.

Freezing pizzas and wrong orders

Food failed to arrive over 40 minutes after order was due to arrive from just eat delivery time. When called I was told that it was out for delivery however background conversation was obvious that the order had not even been processed . Extremely disappointed with the service if I am to be honest I cannot recommend this restaurant I would avoid if possible. There are plenty more pizza shops in the town that are faster delivery and give a much better customer service. Order from here at your own risk folks.

We haven’t had a pizza from here in a couple of months and we’re salivating at the thought couldn’t wait to get him last night to enjoy the delicious mouthwatering pizza we know. Wrong!!! Not tonight. It was almost like the tomato based sauce had been diluted with water, there was no evidence of it beneath the topping highly disappointing. Only we live 10 miles down the peninsula we would’ve taken it back. Highly disappointing as Guiseppes is one of the best pizzeria I’ve tasted outside of Italy.
