Sorry but way overpriced we had 2 pasties and paid £10 they tasted okay but for £5 each they were way overpriced theres a local bakery where we live and their pasties are £2.50 and nicer we wont be calling again

Absolutely terrible customer service from the person serving. She was abrupt and made us feel like we were a hinderance. This is the second time it’s happened now, gave them the benefit of the doubt the first time but on two separate visits it’s not ok. To End on a positive … the baguettes are ok although always very limited!

I asked for a gluten free pasty it took 20 mins to cook when I came back it was burnt. I rejected it and when I came back 20 mins later the same thing happened. The staff were appalling arguing with me I got my money back Awfull service

Amazing Pasties!!! I had the Keralan chickpea which was recommended by the staff and my wife had the classic cornish and the kids had sausage rolls. It was all hot, fresh, delicious and more reasonablely priced than other places we looked at and the staff were so friendly and helpful. The icecream selection was huge and again reasonably priced...DEFINITELY going back.

Great selection of pasties, sandwiches, ice cream, cakes and similar treats. Friendly service and seemed very popular when we went. We had the classic and thai chicken pasties. My daughter had an ice cream and certainly approved! Definitely recommend

What’s not to love?! Fantastic coffee & pastries for breakfast, well-filled tasty pasties for lunch & gorgeous ice-cream cones to round off the day later on. Friendly & efficient staff too. We visited Fudge’s regularly during our holiday in Woolacombe & would definitely recommend!

The title says it all really. Oh and not impressed that the man serving was using tongs for everything except he picked my pastry up with his fingers.

Just really really good pasties, that was served hot and quickly. Rest of my family had cold food (salad and a baguette) and this food was a very good standard also. Would use again.

AMAZING! We had a range of meat and vegetarian pasties which were filled nicely and had just come out the oven! The staff were also very helpful and cheerful! Would definitely recommend for your next trip to woolacombe😁 we also went back for ice cream and it was the best ice cream we’ve ever tasted!

I didn't enjoy my pasty, pastry was ok, but filling was mushy. I am not sure if it had been sat in warmer for too long, but it was on par with a supermarket pasty , but at triple the price. I was unwell afterwards.

Although they sell very tasty Cornish Pasty’s with lots of variety the staff are totally different. So rude unprofessional. It was late in the day so I stood in the queue and when I asked what’s left the very rude member of staff said go and look in the window that’s what’s left. Talking to various holiday makers at a very large complex in this area I’m not the only person who has experienced this type of behaviour from this outlet

Great choice of pasties cakes etc. Lovely tosee lots of vegetarian and vegan options. I had a vegan sausage roll and my husband enjoyed the spicy veg pasty. Nice pastry, not at all greasy and friendly service.

Whilst the pasties were lovely, but slightly overpriced, I have to agree with the previous review that the service was quite bad. It may just be a particular member of staff who was having a bad day but we were barked at 'What do you want' followed by a grunt of 'Oh, you're paying by card'. The food was then thrown at us. I much prefer paying money to an independent shop such as this one, but I get better, friendlier service in my local branch of Greggs!

Awful sausage rolls. Burnt to death and sausage meat was prolong pink and slimy. The worst part was having the two bags thrown at us, to the point I had to stop the one bag from going on the floor.so rude to customers. Why bother working there if you don’t want to be in retail. Avoid at all costs.

Very tasty crooissants which run out fairly quicky in peak season so make sure that you get there relatively early.

We enjoyed a couple of great pastries from Fudgies. Light pastry and packed full of delicious meat and vegetables. Highly recommend trying.

So pleased to find a couple of vegan options here. Almost sold out though - we were lucky I get any. The vegan sausage roll was delicious, the curry pasty was tasty if a little spicy. Staff friendly and efficient. Will return!

Well hallelujah after much searching these pasties are up there with some of the best I have tasted. Light pastry wonderful delicious and well seasoned fillings. I am a Devon girl who lives in London and spent a week in Woolacombe. I visited most days ( is that naughty? ). Believe me - give them a try you wont regret it.Special mention to the wonderful staff who worked hard with good humour and maintained excellent customer service during these difficult Covid times.

Last week I downgraded the pasties from the Cornish Bakery and seriously considered not eating one again I was so disappointed.Today I am pleased to say I ate the best Pasty in years and in Devon not Cornwall. I have to tell you I am a pastry lover and Fudgies pastry is thin soft and extremely tasty never mind the contents which was full of delicious soft potato and more tender meat than any other pasty I have eaten in years. My only disappointment is that Fudgies can only be found in Woolacombe a place incredibly difficult to get too please open more places.

A fantastic find during our weekend in Woolacombe. The pasty menu is extensive – we tried the cheese, potato and onion variety as well as the traditional Cornish pasty and we were not disappointed. The pastry was perfectly cooked and the filling was excellent.

We read the reviews and were not disappointed. Probably the best Cornish pasties we have tasted outside of Cornwall. Great service, and friendly staff. If you're in Woolacombe - go early as the lunchtime queue is massive and that's a good sign!

We went here at the end of August and were very glad to have gone as the ice cream was delicious! Between our family of 5 we tried the following flavours: vanilla clotted cream, honeycomb crunch, banana, cherries and custard, ginger, lotus biscuit and blackberries and cream, all of which were very good! Scoops were also very generous.I was particularly impressed with how they handled allergies - I have a peanut allergy so they got out unopened tubs of ice cream and new scoops to reduce the chance of cross contamination, something that I really appreciated!I recommend this place :)

We come every year and love trying out the different pasties. I had broccoli, cheese and sweetcorn this year and my husband had bacon and cheese. They were both delicious and our children devoured every scrap of their sausage rolls. Excellent safety measures in place in light of COVID19.

A lot of thought had gone into ensuring the place was COVID secure. A wide range of pasties were available along with a selection of pre-made baguettes which sped up the queuing process.

Pasties if all flavours...all day breakfast to spicy chicken, traditional Cornish and cheese and bacon. All delicious and returned several times during our visit.

We came across this little gem while walking in Woolacombe and couldn't resist a few pasties to bring home with us. There was such a lot of choice regarding fillings so we opted for large cornish, spicy chicken and steak and ale. All were delicious with home made chips on our return home

Ordered a spicy vegetarian pasty which was thoroughly delicious. The pasty wasn’t at all flaky, held together well and was stuffed with vegetables. Slightly disappointed it wasn’t spicier – in fact, I failed to detect any heat at all. That being said, it was still lovely.

Ugh, seriously just go and treat yourself to a delicious pasty or an amazing sandwich. The variety of each is extensive, I even managed to get an amazing baguette without ruining my Slimming World efforts. The bread was just awesome. Whatever you want, pasties, a sarnie, hot or cold drink or and ice cream you will NOT be disappointed! It is take away only, though. Not that that makes it any less popular! Join the queue and get in there, the staff are quick at serving and then find a spot to enjoy. Fab.

Great place with amazing food, they even had my favourite there and gluten free for the mother in law

not too much to say about this place as i only got a pasty , however i have been all over devon and this was the best pasty i have ever had, can't say much more than that.

if you want a good pasty in woolacombe this is the place to gogood choice to cater for all tastes but I prefer the traditional or steak..also the fudge is very good to.

Fudgies, day 1. Baguette plus 5 fillings and sauce £3.50. Fair and tasty. Day 2, Toasted baguette (panini) 3 fillings, no sauce £5.50???Upon returning to work I unwrapped a slightly warm, not toasted breakfast panini with raw mushrooms and bread that just fell apart making it almost impossible to eat. One can only presume that the extra £2 was for turning my baguette into a panini style sandwich.....of sorts. Very disappointed. Won't be returning.

I've scoured the South West for many a year now for the perfect steak and Stilton pasty, I can finally put an end to my cornish conquest and declare Fudgies to be the championed bakery! Congratulations

Great selection of pasty ! tried all 3 versions of the cheese pasty and they were all great ! Traditional Cornish pasty very tasty. Friendly staff were happy to re-fill our water bottles !

Been visiting Woolacombe a number of years now. Have used fudgies a few times for fresh sandwiches and pasties. All very good but getting expensive. There is an older guy behind the counter who I presume is the owner who needs to take a leaf out of the other staff members. He comes across very rude and only cares about your money. No customer service skills what so ever. The other younger staff are polite. It can be very manic during the holiday season with no real system in the shop.

The pasties are delicious and the sandwiches were freshly made while you wait. It's very popular so you might have to wait for the sandwiches but they're very good. I'll be going back for more pasties soon :-)

Had great service from one of girls serving ice cream. Told her my son had a peanut allergy, and she got a ice scoop from dishwasher and opened a new ice cream tub. Thanks for the great service and understanding.

After reading reviews on trip advisor we decided to try Fudgies. It was in the perfect location from the beach and easy to find.

This place is pasty heaven and a mandatory visit every time we go to Woolacombe. Chicken and chorizo is a favourite, to everybody it would seem as often sold out, but always great other options on the board to try out.

Thank you for today Saturday Aug bank holiday it was so busy but your staff and pasties were fantastic in equal measure. We had spicy veg, traditional and ricotta and spinach.......delicious and hot.

After visiting the outstanding Woolacombe Beach we were getting hungry and came across Fudgies Bakehouse. We had 2 pasties and they were absolutely amazing. Although very busy we were served quickly and politely and with a smile. Will definitely visit again when in Woolacombe 😀

If you visit Woolacombe, I highly recommend buying a pasty from this bakehouse. They are absolutely delicious and so is their ice cream. They also sell different flavours of fudge and cream teas although we didn't buy any these. My son had a baguette made up from their fresh counter at the back of the shop where you can choose your fillings which was a nice idea. The shop is always busy which says it all!

We bumped into this shop by chance after a day visiting Woolacombe Beach so we decided to look for a place where to get a snack. My kids and I decided to try the Cornwall pasties and they were absolutely phenomenal. Great taste, cooked perfectly.

Pasties are absolutely delicious. The pre-packed 'cream tea' (minus the tea!) was excellent with the scones being particularly good. Baguettes prepared fresh with a large choice of fillings to choose from and good value. If you're after somewhere to grab lunch and take on to the beach then I highly recommend it.

We visited today and I expected to be searching for something gluten free whilst the rest of the family enjoyed their pasties but they had a traditional one or a cheese and onion version. 😀

Popped in here on two occasions. Food was good. A great range of really delicious pasties. They will make you a decent range of sandwiches with a generous amount of filling, and the take away cream tea packs are a good idea.

This bakehouse offers a great range of freshly baked pasties and has impressed us with the quality time and time again. The baguettes are freshly filled to order. We can’t tire of them due to the extensive options! The staff are always efficient and friendly. The owner is a funny guy and is always welcoming and up for a laugh. The ice creams are totally ace and a big hit with my family. We visit this place daily when we come to Woolacombe!

Great choice of pasties and sandwiches and ice cream and cream tea packs to takeaway. I would have given five stairs but on all three occasions that I visited I found the staff very surly, always huddled together and not spontaneously wanting to serve their customers.

Very much enjoyed some pasties from here today, and earlier this week. Mix of savoury and sweet, very tasty fillings and my daughter said her baguette was excellent too. Managed to feed a family of 4 with extras and treats for under 20quid which at a beach like this is a rarity in itself. Will have another steak and ale pasty before I go home for sure!

The pasties and sausage rolls are really delicious. Sandwiches are made fresh with a huge selection of fillings and bread. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff the lady made my husband a sandwich with allsorts on it.

The location makes sandwiches to takeaway and pasties (quite a variety are on offer) I had the traditional pasty my wife had a sandwich. The staff were very friendly and when I consumed the pasty later in the day while on my walk, and it was still warm and very tasty.

Called for a pastie and then went back for an ice cream .

After a long day on the beach my family and I visited Fudgies Bakehouse for ice cream. I've got a nut allergy and asked the gentlemen behind the counter if he could give the scoop a wash before serving my choice. Not ONLY did he say he'd get a new scoop, he also went above and beyond by opening completely new tubs of my choice of flavour ice cream so there was no risk of traces of nuts.

The most rudiest owner I have ever come across!!

We have been coming to Woolacombe every year for the last 10, and Fudgies is by far the best place to get food here. Always busy, especially on a hot day, but the wait is worth it, the staff are very friendly and the food is hot and fresh. Thank you!

'award winning pasties' the message that normally turns me away. But we spotted this place on the way around the town and when we came back the queue was out the door. So we had to wait.... Which was well worth it. They bake some very fine pasties. We all enjoyed our chosen flavours (various special options for those with dietary requirements too) - and their 'cream tea to go' bags are with a punt too! :)

If you’re in Woolacombe you must have a pasty from here! They do whole range (and the traditional Cornish pasty) and they’re very reasonably priced.

Called in here when visiting Woolacoombe. Grabbed some pasties, sausage rolls & drinks etc. All very tasty & priced well & lots to choose from.

Lovely to see they offered gluten free pasties... although this was not advertised outside! Go in and ask and they are able to make them and then you can collect in 45 mins. Very busy and the staff were working tremendously hard. Just shows how popular and fab they are! Well done. We would love to come back one day.

It was six of us and they were not interested in serving. The person serving is rolling their eyes while serving. They were in a rush to just charge. Didn’t even give us a chance to complete the order for a coffee and few cones of ice creams.

The fresh baguettes and hot paninis made to order are delicious. Great variety to choose from and you dont have to stick to the menu, you can make your own fillings up. The staff are helpful, nothing is too much trouble and they aim to please. Great value good fresh food,

Husband and I went here after spending some time on the beach to get lunch, we had takeaway sandwiches which were amazing! My husbands tuna was the best he ever tasted and my cheese was lovely to.

Wow!!!! Visited Woolacombe for the day whilst holidaying in the area. Saw the pasties in the window and was drooling. Got a Cornish pasty and ate it immediately, it was so nice, I returned to the shop before leaving the town to take some away for tea. My partner who doesn't normally like pastry products demolished the 'spare' one.

Popped in to get lunch.. came out with 3 really bespoke wraps.. Excellent and friendly service! Pasty was good too... went back later for milkshake.. the chocolate flake one had 5 flakes and went down a dream with the kids..

It was my third time in Woolacombe beach and again I came to Fudgies Bakehouse to buy an ice cream ! The quality is good and the price is cheap ;)

Spent a lovey week in Woolacombe. Wanted to take some pasties back to Oxfordshire for an easy lunch when we got home.

Visited Fudgies a couple of times in the past week or so for lunch. What can I say, great selection of pasties at a reasonable price level. The huge selection/combination of fillings on freshly made baguettes, of your choosing are just amazing! Had one of the best Tuna mayo salad baguettes I have ever tasted...so fresh! For a superb takeaway snack lunch, I can most definitely recommend this great establishment! I tried the Rhubarb and Custard pastie....yes....it too was to die for!

I am no stranger to the delights of this bakers though i will admit ive never actually been there as my wife normally goes to collect them while i dig a 6ft hole on the beach for the kids to play in.

I know outs tempting to have a classic fish and chips by the beach.. But this bakers was a great find. It was the best Cornish Pastie I have ever had.. Very reasonably priced, but then again am from London.. This is a great place to grab a pastie and eat on the beach.. I only tried the Cornish Pastie there and it was awesome that i went back a couple of times

Enormous selection of baguette fillings and friendly staff. Considering the amount of people in Woolacombe and the lack of similar places they were fast, efficient and well priced.

Arrived Saturday morning and happened on this little gem. Gorgeous freshly baked baguettes with simply devine fillings, with so much variety that the whole family found something the liked.

Myself and another family member thoroughly enjoyed our Cornish pasties from Fudgies Bakehouse. They were full of flavour, my tip is not to eat them when red hot, allow them to cool for half hour so they are just warm and you can enjoy eating it more.

The make your own baguettes are great, choosing your own filling and made fresh to order. .

First ever trip to Devon. Went to Woolacombe beach and didn't want a big lunch. Called in for ice-cream, walked out with an amazing pasty instead - good choice.

Have to get lunch from here. The made to order baguettes are delicious. Great veggie selection. They also sell biscuits, ice cream etc. Always busy, which shows you it’s good.

We’ve always regarded this pasty shop the best in the area and we looked forward to enjoying our first pasty of the holiday. The pastry lovely, but as we ate we asked one another have you had much meat in yours yet? No. I opened mine up and there was a few tiny scraps of beef. We didn’t enjoy the pasty at all it was like eating a potato pasty. We had one the following day on Lynmouth at the bake house and it was full of meat and not the potato filler. Such a shame.

Visited twice over the week the Big Pasty and the Spicy Beef pasty were very good .not cheap but very nice all the same

We bought our takeaway lunch from here. Service and choice was great particularly the tray bakes! An easy place to pick up lunch when on the beach.

Great scone to make your own cream tea and pasty's for a quick lunch. Freshly baked and yummy! Just thing you need for a light bite. Very popular in the busy period, so don't delay. Buy when you see them appear.

This is the place to visit if you want an authentic, delicious Devon pasty. Lots of fillings to choose from including a sweet one sometimes!

Difficult to rate as we have had lots of amazing pasties in Cornwall. The pasties look good in the window and my wife had the whole meal vegetable pasty which she really enjoyed. I had a large steak pasty which I would rate as poor and overpriced. It lacked steak content and just had a few small slithers of meat. The pasty itself was cold and the pastry was undercooked in the crust. It was also spiced in such a way that I ended up tasting it for the rest of the day!

Two decaff cappuccinos, seemed to take for ever to make.

We always stop here for a pasty in Woolacombe. This time again did not disappoint. We all had something different which they warmed up for us. Great shop and great food

We went in here twice for ice creams on our trip to Woolacombe. Really nice ice cream, good selection of flavours. Watch our for the seagulls if taking them outside, we witnessed at least one person get robbed!

Great place for a take away lunch while in Woolacombe. Large selection of pasties for vegetarians - I went for the brocolli cheese and sweetcorn which was amazing and a good price too. Been coming to Fudgies for years and am never dissapointed.

Order two pasties and two coffees around 10 in the morning. Was asked if I'd like them warmed up. Alarm bells rang, but I didn't really have time to think about the implications. I said yes and the girl duly microwaved them and made the coffees.

Handy for the beach. Great for freshly cooked pasties, pastries and you can get baguettes made to order with fresh ingredients. Fantastic veggie selection for the baguettes.

Had several ice creams here and the one just up the road on the corner , over the years. But this year tried the pasties , our usual pasty shop is a drive away. .. from now on this is the pasty place..Nicely baked , generous & even filling,

Excellent selection of freshly-baked pasties. A must is the cornish pasty - would be rude not to when you're in Woolacombe.
