Stopped and got food this evening, so disappointed. I got crispy shredded beef that was basically deep fried batter. Chicken curry was tasteless. Egg fried rice and salt and pepper chips fine but that’s not the main meals. Will stay away in the future

Before ordering from another Chinese take away or reading negative reviews please think again.. Chef Zhongs food is Genuinely the best food I've had in a while. Not our usual takeaway but due to our go to spot being closed we thought we would give here a try. I've been diverted and it's safe to say fortune cookies is our new hot spot! We ordered beef fried rice, prawn toast, kumpo sauce and salt and pepper chips- extra spicy of course. The food was unreal so delicious and uncle and auntie who picked up the phone and took our ordered these last 2 orders (2 days apart😆)) were super nice and attentive makimg sure they had exactly what we wanted. The food arrived super quick and piping hot fresh and just amazing honestly. I will be calling weekly♥️👏

We thought we would try fortune cookies out for a change. We won't be eating there again. We ordered several meals for a group and every single one was awful. No taste in any of the meals (chicken chow mein satay sauce dishes) or the noodles and rice and everything was watery. Never had to put soy sauce on a takeaway before to try and make it edible. Really disappointing waste of £40

Best Chinese food we’ve had in a while, and so fresh! Great customer service, quick delivery and even the delivery driver was lovely. Will definitely order again and might even try some different things from the menu as I tend to always order the same thing 😅 very impressed indeed!

Always the best… always been using this family run Chinese since I was a little boy and they were over at a different takeaway round the corner. This is the best by far. They know my order and always have a smile.

I went here recently. The food was really nice. I had chicken with chilli and soy sauce, the boiled rice was really soft and fresh, the main dish was really nice, fresh chicken, green pepper and was nice & spicy. I'd highly recommend this shop.

I orderd when my local takeaway was closed and have used here ever since portions are huge the food is delicious I'd eat here every night of I could wanting to just order rather than cook. Delivery longer at weekends but thats expected and well worth the wait. Great sel2ction of food and great value highly reccomend

Can honestly say such a pleasure to deal with... Called them at 10 45 pm on a bank holiday Monday not knowing they had all ready closed due to the holiday. Because they see that I had ordered once before didn't hesitate to fire uo the cooker for our food... I was struggling to get a meal tonight but the reason this went a long way in my book is because I'm a type 1 diabetic and needed some carbs as my sugars had been all over the place with this heat.. So I would also like to say a big thank you for going above and beyond when I not only wanted BUT NEEDED a meal... Thanks guys se you again soon

Service is lovely. You can ask for your meal to be delivered to you. The food is fresh and tasty. The portions are large. One of the 3 best takeaways in Queensferry. Besides, I am vegan and there's a lot of choice for me and for vegetarians as well.

As I chinese food fan who has been ordering for quite a while from Fortune Cookies this is what I can say: food was good under both managments but surely is great since the new owners stepped in. Lady on the phone taking the orders is very kind, double checks the order to make sure there are no misunderstandings. Food is freshly cooked, with flavour, and with a variety that fits certainly many tastes. I understand that they can get very busy but despite this they are always doing their best to deliver in time. Delivery is a tricky things and does not only depend on driver or order being made. Traffic is here the key element. There is never a compromise on the quality that keeps me going back to them and choose my favourites. I decided to write this review for others as well to first try the food and not to be out off by some reviews. As this is a family run business and there is quite a big competition in the field you can expect opinions from other side as well. Give a try and decide afterwards. I wish them good luck, they have been one of the most reliable company to serve my meals for the past months. Well done!

8 of us had their takeaway delivered last night and all loved it! The best in the area (and we’ve tried most of them)! So many vegetarian options and really tasty tofu choices! Loved the fortune cookies too! Lovely lady on the phone who took the order, delivery came in expected time and delivery guy lovely too! They have English options too, so our nan got a chicken breast which was nice too! This is our new favourite and we’ll be ordering our ne t takeaway with them :)

Recently ordered food for delivery. The wait time was very reasonable especially with how busy they were. The food is amazing now they are under new management. Lovely friendly service and will be happy to answer any question with regards to ingredients ECT. Definately recommend.

If you want real chips go to the forfune cookie. Also does deliveries. Nice chinese meals as well. Good service as well.

Always been happy with the food from here, an consider myself as a good customer ...but not today, warmed up chips that went in the bin, watery curry an very bland chicken chow mein...maybe one off but will be giving it amiss from now On...

Had a really nice Cantonese style Sweet & Sour Chicken, Salt & Pepper Chicken wings, fried rice and chips plenty of food to share, delicious and hot. Girl on desk was very friendly and professional. Would go there again. 👍

This place is now selling noodle boxes I have the vermicelli one it was really tasty and good value will deffo have one again but will order before as it did take a long time the curry sauce and prawn crackers were really nice aswell. A lot cheaper than wok and go!!!!

I thought it would be nice to treat my mum to a nice Chinese at Fortune Cookies for Mother's Day, BAD MISTAKE. I waited 45 minutes, decided to ring to find out where the order was which I was told it would take a further 15 minutes. I then received a phone call from the Chinese stating they had no chips. I then received another phone call after ending the first one stating they had no prawn crackers either, meaning 50% of the order wasn't available, which I had already paid for by card payment. The staff didn't seem apologetic or offer anything for free because of the hassle this order had caused, won't be ordering again.

Not keen on the food here, never see many people using this place always seems quiet, when going in and waiting seems cold and uninviting only been here once

I use this takeaway often and never found fault. I often have food delivered to my home and this is a speedy service. The food is always hot.

Food took 1 hour and 15 minutes, called take away after 50 minutes and was told it was on its way but did not arrive until 25 mins after. Chicken was very salty on the satay we had.

We ordered fortune cookies but they weren't in the bag when we received our order

Crispy lamb was chewy, fried rice was claggy and nearly black with the amount of soy sauce in it, chicken skewers were dry, tough and overcooked. Chips were hard and only luke warm, curry sauce could have plugged a pot hole, meat spring rolls were empty and the Thai green curry was mixed meat and not the chicken that we'd asked for. We waited an hour to be this disappointed. So, our first time ordering from here will also be our last.

chips were dry and cold, the chicken nuggets tasted like plastic, veg curry had hardly any decent veg in and the chicken in the black bean sauce was cheap and nasty. Delivery time was good but the quality of food was a disgrace.

I stupidly ignored other reviews stating long time for delivery... After 2 hours waiting it finally arrived (I only live 2 miles away). The food was cold. I really recommend not using them, there are plenty more good chinese restaurants in the area, I made the mistake of trying these once but never again
