My son and I enjoyed a delicious lunch, I was delighted that there was a substantial vegan menu as well. The service was friendly and efficient and I look forward to going again.

Brilliant birthday treat for the missus. Lovely food, nice wine and attentive service from all the staff. Will be returning soon.

Nice staff Very poor food, gets quite busy because of the offers they have on. My partner had a fish dish, she described the fish as tasteless and the veg the worst she's had. I ordered a spicy pizza with chicken, the chicken was like undercooked rubber and nothing like spicy. For some reason they serve the pizza on a plate the exact same size as the pizza with a knife to try and cut it in slices. Surely serve it sliced, or serve on a board with a pizza cutter. Our first visit for a long time, and probably our last for a long time even though its only a 10 minute walk from home.

Excellent food, service and experience. Beautifully presented and very enjoyable. Would recommend this restaraunt.

Went for afternoon tea for mother's day. Very busy, table wasn't ready and once seated half an hour wait for the pre-booked afternoon tea. The bread on the sandwiches was hard, like it had been out for a while. Deserts were lovely. Sandwiches bland. Staff were pleasant and friendly.

I booked Mothers Day afternoon tea for myself,My Mum and Daughter. We arrived 5 minutes early and was asked if we’d like to get a drink as the table wasn’t ready. We waited about 15 minutes to be seated at our table which had already been vacated when we arrived,so why such a wait? We then waited another 50 minutes for food and people who came in at a similar time seemed to be getting served before us!!! We were offered a drink on the house whilst we waited. The food was delicious when it arrived it just put a dampener on the day as it was meant to be a celebration for Mother’s Day and we only got the standard afternoon tea not the Mothers Day tea which I thought I’d ordered via the link from the email!!!!! I appreciate they were very busy but over an hours wait was rather extreme.

First visit to this restaurant very stylish up market, Good choice on the à la carte menu, something for everybody. Had prawns for starters was delicious, ribeye steak with peppercorn sauce was also delicious and cooked to my liking. There was a bit of a wait in between the starter and the main meal but it was a Saturday night and it was busy also night before Mother’s Day. Staff were smartly presented and very attentive. Couple of negative was that they didn’t have my choice of wine Chardonnay however suggested Pinot Grigio and it was nice, and I order the mini rhubarb crumble however, the crumble was really hard, I asked what was in the crumble and they explained that they used flour butter and brown sugar which made the crumble harder, but on a positive note, looking forward to go again soon. Well worth a visit.

We went to have lunch Saturday afternoon there were only about 10 other customers inside and it had only just turned 1pm,we asked for a table for 2 for lunch and were told there were none available, I suggested we would eat later and was told there were no tables available all day,so unfortunately we had to go elsewhere,we ended up in zest and had,drinks and a lovely lunch and we spent approximately one hundred pounds,so ego missed out there,we will not try ego again,the guy we inquired about the table availability was quite abrupt and not accommodating in the slightest,we had a lovely meal at ego last year so it's unfortunate

Going off mine first, I had calamari for my starter and it was very rubbery and not cooked very well as the batter just fell of when I was cutting it. My main was lamb rump which is a very nice cut of meat and is one of my favourite meals, It was served and straight away I asked the waiter this doesn’t look right as it was very fatty and full of gristle, he said that’s how it is, I wasn’t to happy with his response as I’ve been butchering on and of for the last 30 years, so I had one mouth full and set it back and ordered something my brother ordered the beef Bourguignon and that was very average. Over all wasn’t the best meal but the atmosphere was good and we were celebrating my wife 60th birthday so we had a very mixed review.

Very average across the board It’s not the first time we have dined here and over many years of infrequent visits it has never failed to ultimately leave us disappointed Again it will be some time before we consider dining there again.

Quickly seated and served.Both starters were fine( chorizo and plain garlic bread). Steaks arrived but sadly not as ordered. Mine was nearer well done than medium but still edible however my wife’s medium rare was medium at best. A replacement was quickly done however this one was rare, the next replacement was rare on one side but medium rare on the other. As she was now hungry ( and I was more than halfway through my main) she decided to eat it. The waitress and manager were most apologetic and the manageress took the cost of my wife’s steak off the bill. However we would have preferred to have a well cooked steak and eaten and enjoyed them together

Our lunch at Ego’s was fantastic. My grandson had recently been diagnosed with Celiac. When he told the waiter that he couldn’t eat bread with the prawns he was going to order, the waiter dashed away and came back with a menu for celiacs, well, we were absolutely overjoyed, it means such a lot to my grandson as he is just getting used to what he can’t eat. We both love the restaurant with its ice atmosphere, the excellent food and service. We’ll be regulars from now on!

Booked for friends gathering on the 29th Dec at 1:15 pm with conditions to finish at 3:15pm Arrived at 12:50pm then the fun began (NOT) we waited for someone to come take orders for drinks which took us up to 1:20pm the drinks arrived at 1:35, at 1:55 we had our orders taken for starters & main meal. At 2:25pm our starters arrived Calamari Friti which were well cooked. After finishing starters another 15mins passed before someone came to clear starter course, then another long wait before our main course. Whilst waiting a couple had placed an order for desert but because of the long wait in the end they cancelled payed up and left, finally our main meal arrived 3:20pm, during our wait we were constantly time watching given the conditions to be out by 3:15 by which time this became 4:30 before paying up. We had considered about getting a dessert and a coffee to finish off, but given the long wait that we experienced we decided to leave. They were obviously short staffed on such a busy busy time of the year, Not a very good advertisement for a restaurant that is frequently visited by myself and friends. Suggestion, bring your knitting or a very long book to read while you wait for your meal to arrive.

Very disappointing meal, ordered the lamb, advertised as lamb rump served pink. What came was some broiled fatty pieces of lamb very far from pink. The roasted courgette was actually a very raw piece of courgette that was inedible. The waitress was not very useful when I complained, suggesting I was the problem not their awful food. Would have got a better meal for far less money at Weatherspoons, I will not be going back. Avoid !!
