Double Happiness in Ballymena

This was my first time here in many years, and it was nice to find food still of excellent quality and value. Fast service and cordial atmosphere. Tried the hot and sour chicken for the first time (haven't seen that anywhere else) and certainly not the last time and it was scrumptious. I'm not a local so would never be a frequent customer, but I will most definitely return in the future.

got few dishes from here food was un eatable! fried rice was burned! worst chinese food we have ever had! would def not recommend, beyond me how this place is still open

Not a good experience. Ordered two meals that arrived early which was as good as it got. The meals were a disaster . One was completely dry and the other a gelatinous mess. Contacted them and they were apologetic and polite. Despite leaving a number for someone to call back to discuss, nothing has been heard 5 days later. Places can have a bad night but when you fail to even reach out to rectify it, it’s pretty inexcusable. We kept the meal expecting a call back and either an offer of an exchange or refund. Nothing heard

The team in here are excellent. On a very busy Saturday night everyone got what they needed. The Kung po chicken was as tasty as ever.

This was always one of the nicest chippies! Tonight they gave me sweet & sour chicken instead of honey chili but was very good still ! 5 stars because our New Years Eve one from here was absolutely divine!! (pic1 from NYE, pic2 from tonight)

Ridicules service I eat out of this place all the time never had a problem untill tonight... rang up the night to a young girl taking my order was very cheeky and rude disgusted to say the least...😡😡

Really disappointing. After our last 2 orders we won't be back. Everything we ordered was so full of chili and garlic that it was impossible to eat or enjoy. When collecting our order, there was so much chili in the air everyone, even the staff, were coughing. This was our default Chinese takeaway but now we will go elsewhere

Disappointed with a recent delivery order, food not warmest, fried rice was awful all stuck together and didn't taste nice at all, chips over cooked or reheated or something, double happiness usually fairly good not on this occasion.

Food used to be lovely but as last year or more has gone downhill. Cold rice an reheated chips every time. Need a new chef.

Waited over 2½ hours for food. Wasn't told on ordering that there was long a wait. When rang to enquire why food was so long, was told I could collect or wait another half hour

THIS IS NOW PERMENANTLY SHUT. Big portions and very tasty. Could do with some beansprouts and the prawn crackers are quite hard.

Have ordered a number of times on the Just eat website only to have the restaurant cancle the order after a while not happy with the service at all or just eat who have also received an email on their service

We normally order from Go Sun but seems they don’t open on a Monday so last night we tried Double Happiness, best Chinese takeaway we have had in a long time, the food was really fresh and didn’t seem like reheated or pre cooked food as I’ve experienced from so many takeaways.So we will be going to them from now on, many thanks, well worth the money.

Sausage supper with gravy, peas & onions is unreal . Enough to feed two & cheap as chips !!!

Very busy yet they were getting quality food out quickly. Phone orders were dealt with politely and pleasantly even through the hectic period around tea time.

This is the best take away in the town. I much prefer here to the original double happiness. Staff are always nice on the phone and the delivery team are very pleasant. Can be very busy at the weekend but that's why it's worth waiting on. Would highly recommend this place.
