Dominos is nothing if not consistent, and one of my top choices for takeaways. I’ve ordered from here a few times. The guy who delivered the pizzas last night was good, and lifted my mobile phone when I dropped it as he was handing me food. The food is far too expensive, for 2 large pizzas and 3 sides it came to over £50 - that was using a 50% off pizza coupon. It’s also very very salty (I order a ham and pineapple, I imagine pepperoni and beef etc would be incredibly salty), and rarely turns up hot. Usually lukewarm. It’s also more expensive to order dominos here than it is in my hometown. Likely as it’s closer to Edinburgh. So why do I rate it so highly? For me; it’s my favourite kind of takeaway (I am a cold pizza fiend), a delicious treat, and delivery times are great, especially compared to deliveroo and Uber eats. There is a small row of chairs at the front of the store, but I’ve never seen anybody eating in. Probably only room to sit if you are collecting. We order delivery and the guys tend to come on mopeds. We have never had any issues with wrong orders, however a bit of mushroom was on my pizza- I hadn’t ordered mushroom. It wasn’t an issue for me, however if you have allergies to various toppings, I would avoid as it’s possible the various toppings are sometimes accidently dropped on other pizzas. I would give 3.5 stars, rounded up to 4.

We ordered 3 pizza's via just eat. Pizza's arrived hot and quickly however my daughter opened her pizza and there was a baked fly on top. It had frazzled wee legs and needless to say all 3 pizza's went in the bin. Absolute waste of £50. I got intouch with just eat and was given a £12 refund. Really disgusting the fact that the fly was on it before it went in the oven, it's there when it came out, the pizza was sliced and still that was not noticed. Sort it out guys.

They don't accept cash...... how can a takeaway not accept it. It's legal tender so I gave a 1 star because of that no where does it say card only (it did outside on right hand side of door so small u don't even notice I had to ask)

I am literally annoyed with the delivery service today. Order a pizza at 9.15pm requesting an ASAP delivery. 45 min in and no sign of pizza yet. Had to call to remind that we are waiting. And the excuse what i got was the 2 delivery drivers had emergency at home all at once. So they will take another 40 min to deliver. Ridiculous 😡. Improve your service in comparison to your overpriced pizzas

Pizza was alright and the wait wasn't too bad, however, it's gotten very expensive these days and doesn't make it worth the visit anymore.

Had pizza delivered. Due to their small stickers only half the address is printed so it’s always the driver gets lost and my food arrives cold. So much for a dishes free eve! They really should sort that out as it would improve things a lot. Also you’ll be disappointed in the lack of mozzarella on loaded fries.

Speedy delivery but pizza was absolutely tasteless

Sometimes forget the big dip and u feel like chasing.g the delivery driver but if u mention it in store next time they rectify the issue and the price of a pizza is getting beyond a joke no doubt good but 40quid for 2 pizzas is steep u can go out for dinner for 50

Order via just eat only to be told an hour after we order that they do not deliver to our area, so I called to complain and the guy acted like it wasn’t their problem very dismissive!

Pizza arrived in good time, unfortunately this was because it was so undercooked the cheese hadn't even melted so had to recook!

Staff member was sullen and unhelpful. I was charged £22 for three plant based pizzas (one small, one medium and one large) but when I arrived to pick them up he only gave me two and said you could not get a small plant based margarita. When I asked him why he did not tell me that at the time he just glared at me. He went on to say he had given us 50% off for the two pizzas. This was a blatant lie as that would have made the full price of the two pizza’s £44!! When we stated we had ordered 3 pizzas he offered to make us a medium plant based and charge us an additional £9.99! When I enquired why the prices on the counter were different to the ones he was quoting he said they were wrong. Why were they on the counter then? By this point our two original pizzas were getting cold so we did not take a third and just left. I could not work out if the whole experience was incompetence or a deliberate rip off. I will not be back.

Pricey pizzas. This branch has lovely staff. I don't know why you have chosen to go card payment only in store. Not all people use card or have it on them. I went in with cash and without my card. You lost money that day. Just use your noggins.

I had a collection order which was ready when I arrived. I asked the staff to sit inside and they agreed. The inside was clean. We enjoyed the pizza there which was delicious. There is enough space to sit inside and enjoy pizza. The staff was really nice. The nearest bus stop is just a few steps away and it is located on the main road. Morrison's is next to Domino's, just a few minutes walk away.

No idea why there's a warning on the box, last time I'll get a delivery of luke warm, at best, pizza.

Dominos, unfortunately, did not meet my expectations. Not only was it incredibly expensive for what it had to offer, but the staff were extremely rude to me during my visit. It was clear that they did not value their customers, and the overall treatment was cheap and unprofessional. As a result, I will not be returning to dominos in the future. It is a shame that their service did also match the quality of their food which is cheap and bland, but I cannot recommend this establishment to others based on my experience.

I ordered in the shop on the 22nd of December waited 25 minutes gave us the order we went back to the hotel and Edinburgh 30 minutes drive to release that they gave the wrong pizza from vegetarian to peperoni how is it possible called and complained was promised a refund and nothing yet and is the 10th of January. To be honest I give up at this point shame on you. Put down the prices if you do this kind of mistakes

Delivery used to be very reliable when first opened, now totally useless. Always over an hour, completely unhelpful when calling to chase.

First order was great - arrived in 30 mins and pizza was piping hot. Next 2 orders have been a disaster. 2 hour waits and cold pizza . Told I could get a replacement if I don't eat the cold pizza and wait on 2nd pizza being delivered, exchange the cold pizza for a new one. They know fine well a starving family is not going to sit and look at their dinner whilst waiting another 2 hours for a replacement! Will not depend on deliveries from here again.

Extremely slow service. Customers coming in after us but getting served before us even though we were stood at the counter. Only ordered 2 pizzas, 1 of which was meant to have one topping but was completely wrong and came with 3 different toppings on it. No sense of urgency. Generally poor experience. Not the usual Dominos standard.

This was my second order in the last month or so. Both times took FOREVER. Even after it said it was out for delivery, it took an extra hour before it arrived and it was soggy and not hot. Would be best if this shop closed as it’s useless.

Ordered a pizza for first time, very disappointed paid £2.50 for delivery after approx 1 hour we go a phonecall from the driver he could not find the address my wife had to go out and collect after talking him in . Pizza was lukewarm. Would definitely not recommend

Never been this sick after a takeaway pizza. Both me and my husband got so sick with terrible tummy cramps and diarrhoea and been awake all night. The sauces tasted off! Will never ever order again. Horrible

My daughter ordered a pizza for my 8year old grandson at 7.15pm tonight, it's now 9.25pm and it's still not here, even though we live opposite, call them 5 minutes ago and he said it's on route which it definitely wasn't I'm still waiting and its past his bedtime

Order not delivered after 2.5 hours, told after an hour it was on its way, disgraceful service

Put in an order. The app said it was delivered, it wasn't. After over an hour I called them up to check. They said they were busy so had to cancel some orders, but that they hadn't informed customers if their order had been cancelled. Eventually decided that they would send out our pizza, which arrived after two hours and cold. Noone seemed to see a problem with cancelling orders and not telling anyone.

Would give a zero stars if I could. Horrendous service and cold pizza. First and last time.

Had a dominoes last night and it was amazind i ordered at 5.6 and it came at 6.5 and the delivery driver was super nice he said thare you go my dear have a grate dinner and enjoy the rest of youer night not inly that he was waring a face covering i would totally recomend dominoes and i will be back very soon so thank you for the lovly meal last night it really filled me up and that what i call amazing service and it was only £10.20p witch is accually quit cheap and decent so you will defanitly see me again some time!...

Very poor and disappointing the pizza has little toppings or none ordered a chicken pepper and onion , the peppers were very thin and hardly any like 5 bits on a pizza , will never buy again I went to my local chip shop and wow fresh ingredients and brightly coloured , dominos I would give you 0 stars if I could

Absolute joke!! Dalkieth must have the worst branch of Domino’s in the whole of the UK. Actually discussing way to treat customers!!!

Every time I order a pizza from here it takes at least 1 hour to arrive!!! Almost always I have to call them and ask where is the pizzas as the app says it’s been delivered already. And two times I have found long pieces of hair, blondish. Not a good branch at all!!!

First contact on the phone(charo) was so professional and totally aware of the deals / products. Took time to talk,nothing was to much trouble. Pizza was so tasty and as described. Delivery was a wee bit late but arrived hot with a friendly Delivery driver.

I live in Croft street opposite Dominos. The delivery drivers constantly park in our street before 5pm and take up the spaces for the residents who live here. Several times I have actually had to park in Morrisons car park which is right next to Dominos(so closer to them) then come back out to move my car once a space has become available. They also constantly park half way over the entrance way to a private parking entrance. Also they park two cars over the double yellow lines(illegally)at the entrance of the street which doesn't allow anyone to enter the street while someone is at the junction turning out on to the main road. Due to the lack visibility at this entrance it is very dangerous as many times I myself and others I have observed have to come to a sudden stop halfway across the main road. Please speak to the driver's and direct them to use Morrisons large car park and allow the residents to be able to park in their own street when they arrive home from work and have consideration of other drivers not parking illegally and may cause an accident.

THE PIZZA IS ALWAYS BURNT!!!!! My 2nd bad review! When you type in on google the specific place you want order from, it completely changes it. Doesn't ask for a postcode to confirm. Seleted dips, when went to pick up apparently i hadnt. We drove 8 miles from what we thought was the right place which wasnt, to the wrong place and order was there. By that time the pizzas were frozen. The guy took my fiances card without sanitising his hands, with covid about that makes me uneasy. They also burn every pepperoni pizza!

Absolutely vile pizzas that was so sour and burnt and ever since I ordered here I receive atleast 5 spam texts a week from mobile numbers telling me to use discounts at dominos Dalkeith. Avoid this place like the plague

Mediocre food, unfriendly staff make a bad experience. This has happened every time I've been. The prices of the pizzas are ridiculous and not worth it. You'd be better off buying from a great restraunt just down the road from it called the Cavalier.

Food was tiny bit over its time but the staff were great and very apologetic and friendly so cant fault the service at all.

Pizza was missing toppings, must have been running out of cheese as there was hardly any on it. Pretty disappointing

I've always wondered why Domino's take so long to deliver. I just observed a delivery driver carry a case of pizza's to his car and sit for 20 minutes smoking a cigarette. In the meantime another delivery driver pulled up and parked then got in to his front passengers seat, joining him on a break. Clearly social distancing is not being followed at Dalkeith Domino's as they shared a work vehicle for a break, not wearing masks. And then the colleague left and git in his car and they both drove off on their round. A shocking scene. I have never been impressed with Domino's service, this experience iz clear evidence of Dalkeith Domino's work ethic.

Never ate their place but all I can say is they delivered our staff in pharmacy 5 large pizzas free of charge for our lunch as we are essential workers during the covid-19. How generous and thoughtful is that! Thank you Dominos...your a star!

Get your drivers to stop parking in the side streets opposite, also on the opposite side of the road to your shop. Makes it difficultf for residents to see to the right as we come out the streets. Going to cause an accident. . Parking illegally, driver XEM last 3 digits of reg.

If I could give no stars I would. The Dalkeith branch is absolutely dreadful. Will never order from them again. Utterly outrageous plus the Manager thought the situation was funny, he actually stood there smirking. Two hours between ordering online for a delivery and then having to go to the shop to get the order made again!!!

Terrible service. Rude staff, delivery drivers are rude. The drivers block up any parking available for residents and park on junctions and double yellow lines, making it unsafe. The many of the local residents have seen the drivers bump in to cars and drive off. Very disappointing local service.

1h40m wait for cold food. The store took 11 minutes to answer phones and then Manager couldn’t care less of the issues. Re-delivery would take another 2 hours and refund wouldn’t be made for 3-5 working days. Avoid at all costs

Visited over Christmas and close to closing time. Staff were excellent even though it was late late late. Pizza was lovely as usual.

Excellent well made! It took a little longer than usual which is understandable considering how busy they were.

Phoned for delivery, barely got a word or English, man couldnt understand me. Was asking what deals there was as normaly always get deal what ever they have on. Man on phone wasnt making it clear what so ever. Asked to speak to manager, he said he was, I could only laugh, anyway order arrived only to be the wrong order. Pizza is always cold/Freezing . At collection Even you sit and watch it say its ready on the screen you have to ask staff to say its ready as they never pay attention it's still never warm due to sitting a while. I wouldn't like to get a delivery from here. I definitely wouldn't recommend this branch

£15.99 for a small pizza, expensive!

Just ordered a pizza for uplift and the app said,it,was ready for collection. When I arrived which was 5 minutes later the pizza was NOT ready and i had to wait a further 5 mins. I was then given a fresh made pizza but chicken wings that had been on a hot plate for over 20 minutes. I complained and was told I would have to wait a further 5 to 10 minutes for fresh wings. The person who appeared to be the manager then gave some very poor excuse about if they had been out for delivery I would have to wait. This makes the situation even worse. If you want dominos dont go here, poor service, poor management and very poor food

Customer service is pretty poor. Every time we order pizza for collection, we get ignored for about 5 10min. Yesterday, two guys got served before us and then the employee picked up the phone to someone from Dominos, while standing in front of us, and had a 10 min conversation about another customer's complaint. Needless to say, our pizza was cold ... not ideal when you've been travelling all day and just want something hot to eat.

Ugh. Ordered a Hawaiian pizza and I guess they didn't have pineapple so they just swapped for corn instead. I know it wasn't simply a mistake because they got the customizations right. Can't even bother to call and ask me?! To not provide the main ingredient that makes the type of pizza what it's called and not even check with the customer... I'll be filing a dispute with my payment processor.

When Domino's Dalkeith first opened it was for the best part half decent, but that being said was not without it's faults. Working backwards 'The Food' it's never hot but more warm...ideal really to just tuck right in, however taste wise its all a bit bland. Considering the cost also you would be far better getting your pizza fix elsewhere as for some reason they never get your order right...ask for a meat free you get a meat feast veggie??? If you want to change a topping but not add they will also charge you for a simple swap ( same ammount of toppings but for added cost ). Waiting times both pick up or delivery are soo long you actually end up going off your order!! Then the small matter of the staff.....Too many staff running around like headless chickens, not really sure of whats going on, what orders are for who ect. Now not all staff fall into this but 97% of them have about as much personality as a wet fart, attitudes that im sure will take them far ( i think not ) no people skills, rude and a lack of real care like they dont want to be there!! The take away is untidy with food waste and papers everywhere ( at least when i have been in ). All in all personally i will not be back and would not recommend to friends or family...Shame as it is a great location in a growing area but needs lots of work to succeed!!

Just poor. Ordered two pizzas and a side. One of the pizza came in with ingredients missing and the side was not what was ordered. When called the shop the guy was rude and unapologetic. They made no effort to fix the mistake apart from refunding something like a £1.30 for missing topping. Ridiculous. Here's what the conversation looked like: me: I ordered ham+pineapple+mushrooms but there's no pineapple. Him: Yes, we put mushrooms instead of pineapple. Me: why? Him:WHAT WHY?? (in angry voice) Me: why did you not put pineapple on it if it was custom pizza order with pineapple on it. Him: it costs us £1.30 to pineapple on pizza, I'll refund it. Me: I still don't have pineapple pizza, which is what my wife like, and wrong side. Him: ok I'll refund £1.30 ok bye. Seriously this is a joke. Never ordering from there again. The customer service in this place is non existant. Good job Domino's on selling your franchise to people like that. Oh and the pepperoni was burnt with hardly any cheese on it. Order at your own risk.

We went there in the evening when the door was open and the guy working told us they were closed, even though the door was open and the sign still said open. He refused service and asked us to shut the door behind us. Never had this bad of service before.

Love the pizzas but always have issues with order times and delivery. Ordered at 6.10 tonight and phoned to cancel at 8.15! Tracker had been saying out for delivery since 6.30. When I phoned to complain and cancel the order I was told oh it’s been manic tonight! Think 2 hours is far too long to wait. Thanks to Isaac for being nice on the phone. Really disappointing

Waiting 2 hours on a pizza, called shop numerous times, finally asked to speak to manager Lawrence who didn't seem that bothered saying they were busy.

Ordered a dominos on Sunday night for delivery because it said delivery would be 16 - 26 mins. Ordered at 5.30 and by 5.45 the tracker had the 6 pizzas out for delivery. Then it all went downhill. Called the shop at 6.20pm to find out where it was, spoke to a disinterested member of staff who initially didn't ask for details and just said the order had been taken to the address listed but they hadn't ordered then gave us a random address, when we said that wasn't our address he said said oh, the driver will be outside in a minute. We called again at 6.45 for find out again where it was, again told the driver would be outside in a minute. The order eventually arrived at 6.50, Luke warm. We received £10 off the order however for the price you pay for a dominos and to wait that long is unacceptable. Will not be ordering from that shop again.

Miserable service by some young girl who does not seem to have a clue where is works never mind what she is supposed to be doing. We ordered pizzas online, were told ready in 8 minutes, arrive a shop and wait a further 25 minutes. Back to Gilmerton for me I think.

Poor quality compared to other dominos! A lot less tomato sauce, cheese and toppings. Really dissapointed.

Standard domino's selection and process. If you need an expensive pizza in a hurry then it's OK, fast and efficient service.

Ordered with the app, our rental populated automatically in the drop down, but apparently the driver can’t find us despite being less than 2 miles away. It generates immediately in google maps, not sure why it’s not working for them. Also took forever to answer the phone, would’ve hung up if I hadn’t been super hangry. Ended up canceling the order.

We order from here regularly. Food is usually delivered quickly and if we request a specific time, it's on time. Food is good, never any problems. The offers change regularly which is annoying but they usually have good deals. Love the bacon and cheese wedges,...
