Dok Mali in Salford

Awful Experience, ordered takeout which never arrived, staff where rude, dismissive, denied receiving the order yet recalled all the items on it. Claimed they had no driver, the driver was in the area, didn't have the drivers details, yet rung him to confirm delivery. Said it wasn't policy to refund or resend food. Claimed they had illness in the family and they had been robbed recently (not sure why that was volunteered or relevant). Was told if I wanted to collect an additional order I could do so but collection had to be away from the restaurant and other customers. Awful Experience, can only assume they are trying thier luck through delivery services and not honouring orders AVOID

Delicious authentic Thai food! I was happy to find an extensive menu with many dishes that are hard to find outside of Thailand, freshly cooked by a Thai chef. We loved the Papaya Salads, the Coconut based soup, the pork basil stir fry, and the duck masaman. It is now one of top favorite places in Greater Manchester. Be aware that the spicy level is authentic Thai, so very spicy, but you can ask to have it less spicy too.

Just been in Dok Mali, we haven't been in for a while and we're looking for somewhere different but local. It was spot on as always. Their prawn toast is the best ever! We had 3 starters, 2 mains and a bottle of wine and the bill was just over £50. And the place was empty except for quite a lot of take outs and delivery drivers. Such a shame this place gets overlooked. Such a shame as a lot of local dine in places have closed since covid. If you like Thai food then give them a try.

Absolutely wonderful tasting and fresh meal - every spoonful had plenty of flavour! We had duck pancakes, steamed dumplings and chicken wings to start and sizzling steak, special fried rice and egg noodles for main. We will definitely be back!

Been going here for years. Food is always fresh and fantastic. Service good also. Was very troubled to see an FSA food rating of 1 up until February this year where it has risen to a 2. I do hope that this great place continue to make improvements.

Had a great takeaway from here tonight. The food was of the same excellent standard we have had when we have dined at the restaurant before lockdown. We have eaten at many great restaurants and this place is one of our local favourites. Service is excellent and whilst the cost is more than you would perhaps pay normally for a takeaway, the service was speedy, the quality is excellent and the helping sizes are generous. We had a mixed starter for two which we would highly recommend and the massaman curry was also excellent. We have taken several sets of friends here to dine in the past and all have commented how much they enjoyed it. Can't wait for lockdowns to end and then we can go back and eat here in person!

Couldn't get a delivery from Manchester, thankfully. Didn't know about Dok Mali, it's more local and the food was excellent. Will use again and look forward to be able to visit the restaurant.

Ordered from this restaurant last night as a takeaway. It took nearly 2 hours to arrive after being told it should arrive in about 1 hour. Not happy. No apology given.

Little Gem! Made welcome by the waiter immediately. The food was all delicious! The service was excellent, relaxed but professional, attentive but not intrusive - the server (who told us he was from Turkey) was genuine and charming. A surprise birthday dessert - gratis! Many thanks from the Australian and the Canadian!

Called in Saturday evening with no reservation and they were happy to give us a table - we must have got in at the right time as it soon got quite busy. We ordered a sharing starter for 2 people but shared it between 3 and there was plenty. 3 mains and 2 bottles of wine and the bill was £80 which we thought was reasonable for the quality of the food. Will definitely visit again.

Terrible I came here in 2013 and it was good and it was called royal Siam then it changed to green oak now dok Mali , I came with partner & I wouldn’t come again it was that bad , yuu want a good Thai venture into Manchester .Saturday night 02

We were looking forward to having some Thai food so we decided to try this location. Unfortunately it was a terrible decision, truly disappointing. The food was scarce and overpriced, but the worst part is that it was served cold and bland, probably the worst Asian meal I have ever had.

Take away price SAME AS SIT IN PRICE. Salt and pepper squid bland and cold. Noodles cold and flavourless. Tamarind duck thick and far too rich. Seabass came plain in a plastic tub with a tiny pot of chilli sauce for £15. Takeaway for 2 over £50 and complete disappointment. Sadly wont be coming back after this experience.

Such excellent food! Soups and curries both so tasty. Good ambiance and service. We were the only ones there early on a weekday but it was much busier by the time we left.

that has got to be the worst food I have had in 35 years of adult life soggy batter, soggy tasteless chips, rice in a bag, scallops that were well overdone and a weird brown colour. I cannot even describe the £64 I have just thrown most of away. Dok Mali is the nicest Thai food I've had in the UK, been to quite a few Thai restaurants and this is the best. Prices are really reasonable and Thai staff are really sound.
