Update opening hours wasted a 30 min drive

Went with family. Food was amazing. Probably the best Persian restaurant I've been to for a while. Fresh and tasty. Would definitely visit again.

I visited Dehkadeh restaurant for my dinner on my way home from harrow. I would prefer a bit warm welcome like other restaurants. Food is delicious like some good restaurants. I was offered same two dishes however people of non-persian origin should be informed about best different dishes to try.

I asked a good Iranian friend of what in his opinion was the best Iranian restaurant in London. He pointed me towards here. Conveniently it’s only 5 mins cycle from Harrowall so as a climber it was logical to pair them up. A 4 1/2 hour climb had built up a good appetite. I ordered the Kebab Koubideh (minced lamb with bread) and the Pollow Koresh Ghormeh Sabzi (green herb lamb stew with kidney beans and served with with with barberries). Both were delicious & flavoursome as promised and portions were ample. To finish I had some Bastani (Persian saffron ice cream with rose water & pistachio). I’d never had this before, it had some a depth of flavour. The owner was friendly and came to chat. Overall it was a great dining experience and I’m grateful for the recommendation. Definitely one of the best Iranian meals I’ve had in london. They have some specials at the weekend I’m interested in trying, especially the Aab Goosht (meat stew) and Ghalieh Mahi (fish stew). The owner recommended if I did to phone 24 hours in advance to reserve a portion as it’s typically finished by about midday.

Fantastic find ! Had an impromptu lunch here today out in the garden.with plenty of shade (was 30° today) Great service - friendly & professional! Food cooked fresh to order and was delicious.

Don’t be fooled with the current reviews, the food is rubbish, I genuinely picked the place because of the reviews and made a big mistake. I and my partner had to deal with stomach pain for the rest of the evening and night. To summarise: 1)The kebabs were not fresh or if they were then the meat was so hard to chew . 2)Starters were not cooked the same way as usual ( walnuts were missing and etc) 3) yogurt drink was tasteless It’s unusual to be asked if you need a dressing for your salad !? It should just come with it … ( never mind it really tasted like water) The only one star I have given here is for the nice lady who welcomed and served us. Note: the service charge was put on the bill without a consent from us, which wouldn’t be an issue if the food was to an standard. Avoid this place at all cost .

Juciest Kababs and softest chicken I ever had. Starter soup was a bit bland (Maybe they were targeting white folks, common with all british Asian restaurant, nothing specific to this one) . Will go again in sha allah. 5 out of 5

What kind of place won't give you tap water. Some items not available. Those we had, didn't stand out. Dead inside.

Got 10 kebabs for takeaway with rice. The kebabs were good and tasty but some were a bit burnt. The prices are slightly more costly than other places that serve koobideh kebabs. Overall it is a good local Iranian restaurant.

Junk food. I ordered a lunch offer. It seems the launch offer is the food from last night. The box is plastic and very low quality. Do not waste your money for this junk food!

I truly recommend anyone to visit this restaurant that is a short walk from South Harrow station. The food was served quickly and professionally. The food was extremely tasty and I was truly impressed.

I love Persian food and if you're around this area and fancy something different then look no further. The food is prepared fresh in sight, all delicious. The kebabs were well marinated and in generous portions. We keep missing out on Sunday specials but hopefully soon. Great family run establishment

We ordered food from them my wife is pregnant and they have given us microwave it was not fresh at all I returned the food back to them and they refused to refund my money. PLEASE PLEASE DON'T US GO TO THIS. RESTURANT. the food is very bad you will get sick🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮

I enjoyed Chelo Kabab Kobideh with somagh, fresh salad and depressing. Portions were large with lots of zafron and good cooking oil. I definitely visit again.

We traveled from Bournemouth to convince ourselves from what we heard about Dehkadeh offering authentic Persian food in London. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the owner and felt instantly at home. The restaurant is very specious with good access and very children friendly. We were amazed by the taste of several cold and warm starters we ordered which came with a delicious and very traditional Nan-bread which you usually don't find in any other persian resturant. We also loved the authentic taste of our mains which consisted of persian styled grilled meat with rice. Simply succulent!! Unfortunately we were too busy eating and enjoying our food that we forgot to take photos to share it with you. Thank you for your hospitality and hope to see you soon again.

Excellent food and service! The starters and mains were all amazing! The homemade feta cheese and yogurt was to die for. Really recommend this place and the very friendly owner. Would definitely go back!

I visited alone as I was working in the area. Restaurant was quiet as it was late, but I was provided with fantastic service by the waitress. Had a delicious lamb stew with aubergines and split peas, and fresh hot bread. Really love the place, and will return soon.

We stopped by after seeing the positive reviews and we can safely say they have deserved every one. Not only is the food delicious (be sure to get the lentil soup - warms the soul, especially in the cold), but the owner/hostess is exceptionally sweet, helping us with a smile through our questions and requests. A beautifully decorated place as well, capable of transporting you to another land as you sip on their cardamom-spiced Persian tea.

Food was good and prices of main course dishes were fine. However they have charged 2.20 for small water bottle, 1.75 per naan bread and have added 3.24 as service charges. We love persian cuisine but found these a little expensive

This restaurant made me write a review for the first time . We visited this restaurant for first time after lockdown during " Eat Out to Help Out Scheme". We went here for dinner, hosted by our friends for their anniversary . We were we much impressed by the ambiance, the staff and especially the food. We have tired many Persian restaurants before and this one has become one of my favourites. They have few more items on the menu and shesha as well. You can opt for outdoor or indoor seating. We ordered Chelo Kebab Koobideh,Kebab Koubideh with Taftoon Bread, Kebab Momtaz and Pollow Khoresh Ghormeh Sabzi.( Yes, we went directly for the main course 😊😊)The naan bread was amazing,Kebabs just melt in the mouth and the portions are generous .I am definitely looking forward to go many more times here.

We tried this lovely restaurant with family recently and it was brilliant. Nice atmosphere and the owner was very friendly. I loved the herbs stew (ghormeh sabzi) which was southern style. The lamb shank (Baghali polo) was so tender and meting in the mouth. The kids loved the minced meat kebab (koobideh).

Oh my god!! We’ve just had a take away from Dehkadeh restaurant for a family of 4. The food we ordered was momtaz, joojeh, ghormeh Sabzi and baghali polo/maahicheh. The stews are home-made (by the owner’s wife) and therefore, the ghormeh Sabzi took my husband all the way to his childhood memories! There’s nothing left in of the food, otherwise I would have taken photos. The owner was very warm and friendly, typical Southern Iranian! Good authentic food. Very friendly service. Good portions. We took mixed grill for 2 and jejouh kebab and was more than enough for us 4 adults and a child. I will highly recommend them.

Ordered a Kebab Koodibeh Takeaway on Friday just after 10pm. I've had really bad food poisoning since. I'll never be eating from this place again.

Absolutely outstanding food and service and great value By passing the Dehkadeh restaurant I knew I had to try their food as it looked very promising and welcoming. As we had tried the food it became our best Persian restaurant in south Harrow, a beautiful restaurant with professional interior design that could take you through old Persian houses, an excellent service, the most friendly, attentive and enthusiastic service I have ever received was at this restaurant, next, we ordered the mixed grill, and had a generously portioned a of chicken breast, minced lamb, and lamb chops, I have had minced lamb (koobideh) before, but simply that was the lightest, richest, and most flavourful minced lamb I have ever had, and the chicken was juicy and tender and cooked perfectly throughout. This was accompanied by garnished saffron rice, it was spectacular. We will definitely be back again, we’re thinking about Sunday lunch here.

Expensive - prices might have been increased since eat out to help out scheme was introduced? Sadly, I feel the customer service is questionable. Lacking in experience dealing with customers in a friendly way. I have eaten in thousands of restaurants and mostly Afghan or Persian. Food was nice which is why the reviews are good, but I wouldn't say the best or anywhere near. The waitress was generally quite nice until our food arrived. We were a bit confused there were no full size plates provided for our two children to eat from. She told us she needs her plates for other customers that are coming soon. After we insisted our children will need proper plates she said she will check, then returned with two proper plates. This was the start of our problems with this otherwise pleasant and cosy establishment. We ordered the mixed grill for 4, assuming the hefty and uncompetitive price of £50 would provide 3 adults and two small children a decent meal. We also ordered a couple of sides and starters. When the grill arrived, the portion was actually quite disappointing and missing some baby chicken. When I mentioned this I was told that it comes with so much lamb so one missing baby chicken is no big deal. I just thought OK... I just want to eat. Then the salad portion was not even enough for one person, it was two slices of cucumber, 2 slices of tomato and a handful of lettuce. It was how much salad you might find on at the side of a starter plate. We all love our salad with grilled food, so I complained asking for a top up as it cannot be right for a £50 grill (described as for 4). The lady returned with a plate of salad which had a few extra vegetables. We wanted some Persian tea which was then served with no sugar, I had to get up and go to the kitchen to get the sugar as the waitress by then was completely ignoring my table. At the end of our meal we were shocked to find we were charged £4.50 for the extra salad which we thought was to correct the mistake of not giving a full salad portion with the grill. We asked if that could be adjusted and she told us the salad provided with the grill was just for decoration(!), and if we want salad we have to pay £4.50! It's also worth noting that a small plate of chips in this restaurant is charged at £4.50! Most expensive chips ever! The restaurant also force a 10% service charge which you have to pay even if the service was poor. I felt this was illegal but again, didn't want to make a scene anymore. We came here thinking we would get a good meal at a decent price due to the government eat out to help out scheme, the reviews looked excellent. Sadly we left feeling we spent the same as we would have on any other night, and that our money would have got us a better overall experience elsewhere. We were hoping to order food to take away and also return with more friends but that did not and will not be happening. I recommend you take your custom to one of the several other restaurants if you want to avoid high prices for poor service and average food. I hope the restaurant will review the price / contents of the grill and also the chips! Would also suggest a friendly and more generous approach to paying customers who might have returned had the experience been made better, quite easily by the waitress.

Sorry guys! So so disappointing .As a Persian, I’ve never in my life eaten the khoobide which wasn’t lamb at all. I don’t know what kind of meat you used for koobide and what was the ingredients. Whatever it was , the koobide was white inside and tasteless. Please before you send any food to customers just think you will eat it if you ordered or not !

After being thrilled to discover a Persian restaurant in this corner of town, I was not disappointed. Really tasty food and extremely warm and welcoming service. I'll be going back to try the Saturday and Sunday specials.

If you’re a fan of authentic Persian cuisine, Dehkadeh Restaurant should be high on your list. Choice of menu is superb, very delicious, great quality and the size of portions are very generous. Awesome service and everything is 10/10. Can’t recommend it enough.

This is the best Persian restaurant to my experience. Authentic , freshly baked food , extremely clean environment, you could see the Kitchen through and I am really proud that such a wonderful couple with such a great artistic and gastronomic experience are running this beautiful establishment side by side and so many diverse communities are enjoying our national dishes and are such a regular’s . Family restaurant and you walk in as a customer and walk out as a member of Dehkadeh family which is beautiful experience.

After the lockdown this was the best gift we gave ourselves.The couple are from Southern part of Iran where the gourmet food and cooking are so famous . But I must say they are cream du cream of hospitality, decoration, cleaning, freshness and the foods are top of the range in Persian cuisine. I was so surprised by multi diverse communities that are eating in this beautiful place and made me so happy that the couple are true representatives of our culinary culture.Wonderful food, management’s are gorgeous .So authentic the food tastes so great and the quality is superb kebabs melt and starters are must .I am an Iranian this is the best by far , I have been to so many Iranian restaurants in Europe and America, but the food , the setting and the management are unique.its just like a first class restaurant in Tehran . Please try it you will have a wonderful experience.

A most welcoming atmosphere coupled with wonderful service and delicious Persian cuisine. A small group of us frequented this establishment after an evening meeting of the Community Action South Harrow (CASH). We were met with smiling faces and a very warm welcome. The hot Persian naan bread went very well with the hummus and the Mast-o- Kar (yoghurt with cucumbers and herbs) as an appetizer). The kebab Sultani was very tasty and portion size was excellent. To finish, the Persian tea is a must to help digest and rest the meal. This is a great restaurant to go and have, what I deem to be home cooking, with a great level of service and comfortable surroundings. Alcohol is not served here but you can bring your own if you wish, which is always a better way to make huge savings on alcohol beverages! We will definitely be going back soon! Thank you Dehkadeh!

Delicious food, my little one thoroughly enjoyed his ash reshteh soup with bread which was perfectly baked(crisp on the top but soft enough to melt in the mouth). The kebabs were juicy and flavourful, our favourite was koobideh. Nice size portions. The place is clean and excellent customer service. we will definitely be visiting again.

Our family just had a very tasty lunch at this cozy home style restaurant. The staff were so kind and friendly and the food was delicious. We loved the juicy flavorful jojeh and koobideh kabobs as well as the gheimeh stew. We enjoyed very nice baklava and tea and our kids devoured the Persian ice cream. The prices were very reasonable. We will definitely be back!!

It's a nice and cosy place to grab delicious Iranian food. They offer outdoor sittings for huka /Shisha. Pricing is good as well as the taste.

Absolutely one of the best kebab I have eaten. I just moved to the area ad fancied Persian food and start searching for restaurant near me. Dehkadeh came up as one the best Persian restaurant with very good reviews. I have ordered a take-a-way and it was ready on time and it was nicely packed up. I couldn't believe it being so good it really Persian and reminded me of the Chelo Kebab in Tehran Bazar Bozorg. Will definitely go with friends and family to dine there it seemed very clean and tidy place. It is obvious why they have so many amazing reviews, comments and recommendations on all social media platforms. 5 Star from Masoud and see you soon.

Absolutely amazing experience and very real and authentic food that reminded us of Tehran Bazar in Iran. More to the point a 1st class customer service followed by a very welcoming attitude. It was our first time going to this restaurant and although it was very busy and we didn't book a table they managed to sort out a table for us very quickly. I though they only treated us with the respect because I spoke to the owner in Farsi but while I was there and enjoying my food, I saw how respectfully the way the owner and other staff treating their customer. 5 star from Reza and will return very soon with the friends and family. Lovely place, with warm and welcoming hosts (the owners are always there to talk to you in person and serve you the delicious complimentary persian tea). The foos is delicious, freshly cooked and affordable. Although the grill is right where the guests are served as well, it doesn't smell much and it's not smoky as it is in some other places with grills. Well done!
