Culinaris in Cambridge

I'm imressed. Great selection of cheeses, meats and some other wonders... Staff is well-qualified and enthusiactic ... gorgeous people.

Deliciosas selecciones de carne, queso, aceites, vinagres y otros condimentos. Personal amable con una pasión por la comida.

My first visit to Culinaris was a treat. While I was waiting to be served, two other customers were buying cheese and cooked meats. I was offered tastes of these products by the guy serving and had to buy all three as they were delicious. I also came out with three other excellent products. I had gone in to look for maraschino cherries, which they didn't have, but I have never been so happy coming out of a shop which didn't have what I wanted to buy!!.

Este es un tesoro! Pan recién horneado, gran variedad de quesos y embutidos, así como pastas, chocolate, conservas - muchas cosas para elegir y probar! Compramos un número de productos y tuvimos un picnic en uno de los muchos parques de centro de la ciudad de Cambridge. El dueño era muy atento, nos dejó probar los quesos y carnes antes de comprar. Lo recomiendo encarecidamente.

An excellent delicatessen - full of all sorts of things to enhance day to day foods - from oils to sauces etc as well as cheeses and dried meats. What struck me was a large range of specialist dried peppercorns about which the shop staff seemed highly knowledgable. I bought two and have been very pleased with their zingy flavours. Definitely worth a visit.

Culinaris today became my favourite lunch point. I had an amazing sandwich the quality of which rivals the gourmet ones I used to have in Rome. Serrano, goat cheese, pesto, salad, sun dried tomatoes, all for 4.50£ and all of incredible quality. Il Soon enough they will also deliver, you MUST try a sandwich.

Culinaris replaced a rather tired Chinese takeaway, and the result is a further addition to the already great variety available on Mill Road. I go here mainly for cold meats -great selection of hams- and cheese, where they are especially strong on continental cheeses, but also stock such treats as the sensational Wigmore from GB. Large selection of olive and other oils, including a grapeseed oil that has become my favourite for cooking. At the top gourmet level, prices are high, but there is plenty of good affordable produce as well. When you enter the shop you are immediately confronted by a chocoholic's heaven. If you are watching your weight, you will need a very strong will. The staff have a deep knowledge of what they sell, and entice you to taste samples. You can get a tray of selected foods made up elegantly for special occasions. This is shopping as enjoyment.

This deli is definitely worth a trip for unusual quality ingredients, fabulous chocolate (try the hungarian pistachio- ask Sam to show you which are good! Staff excellent for advice and very knowledgeable, sandwiches, cheese and meats the best in Cambridge area.

I enjoy going to this place. I am from the continent, and just missing all the different cheeses and hams from Italy, France and the Alps region. They have fair prices, definitifely not more expensive than when you buy good stuff in the supermarket. But what I enjoy most is the extremely friendly staff, who just love their food and always let you try different things. Bring some time!!

Amazing selection of cheese, cold meats, and foodie treats. They also do a mean sandwich, custom made with fillings of your choice. Friendly staff and great location. A must visit for any foodie in Cambridge.
