Cosy Jazz Café in Blackpool

What a cool, calm place to visit, in contrast to the overwhelming bustle of a busy Blackpool day! We visited the cafe for lunch and fell in love with the chilled ambience. Josh was lovely and made us some delicious coffee and incredible food. The small menu works well, as everything is so tasty! There are games to play and great music to listen to. Highly recommend it, we'll be back for sure!

We loved this place would highly recommend. The food was so so tasty and such a good portion, the prices are great! The man who served us was very friendly and made sure to make us feel welcome! We felt very comfortable and felt at home there. If you’re in Blackpool this is a great place to go! Jerk chicken with rice or the toastie I would really recommend.

Amazing place and excellent food!

Went here for a quick coffee n chill before a gig with my dad and his friend last night. The atmosphere was so lovely and the man working behind the counter was so sweet and provided wonderful service. I had the best vegan chai latte I've ever had and the two people I was with (non-vegans) loved what they got too. Absolutely must visit again next time I'm in Blackpool! Thank you again :)

Food was absolutely delicious! The Chai was spot on and the "jerk chik'n" rice and beans were fantastic. The atmosphere inside was spectacular, I posted some pictures but that really doesn't do it justice. There are a selection of board games to play, books to read, musical instruments and jazz playing. The owner is so delightful. A soothing friendly person who made us feel right at home. I would highly recommend this place. To anyone vegan or not. It really is something special.

Really disappointed tonight, we were fed up with the usual fare around Blackpool. I passed it this morning and looked up the reviews, looked good. Went and a lady was at the service area, something went on and she stormed out. We took a table that became available, sat and asked the guy behind the service area for a menu ? He told us they had no food left, said something about a football match, but didn't really understand. Came away very disappointed and hungry. Can't give any reviews about any aspect of the place.

This place has to be experienced to be believed. My only regret was that I was with my 3 dogs and so couldn't appreciate the brilliance of the interior to the fullest. The food was absolutely top notch, we had the jerk chicken and it was lovingly prepared with a jazzy take which certainly delighted my palate. Wholesome food served with love in a setting that reminded me of a Bob Dylan song. There is music in the cafe tonight and revolution in the air! Thank-you, it was a pleasure.

The juxtaposition between the busy prom and this amazing cafe is to be seen to be believed. Once you step inside you are transported to a world of laidback funky jazz and a decor of heavenly mindfulness. The host pops out to cement the whole serendipitous experience - bliss. The food is outstanding surpassing anything else you might find in Blackpool.. Delicious delicate flavours and nutritionally satisfying. You must visit here.

me and my boyfriend visited in the evening and it was one of the coziest, comfiest places we’ve ever been in! the decor is gorgeous, and the owner was super friendly and welcoming and made our evening- a must visit! we also loved the music that was playing and the cool instruments around the cafe! :)

5 stars for the Cosy Jazz Cafe! This quirky vegan gem in Blackpool is a must-visit. The atmosphere is incredibly cozy, with comfy sofas and chairs perfect for relaxing. The food was delicious - we tried the jerk 'chicken' toastie with a generous portion of rice, beans, and hummus. The owner's hospitality was amazing - super friendly and welcoming. He even made my birthday special with a surprise cake and singing! The cafe has a great selection of jazz music playing in the background, and there are books and board games to enjoy too. Overall, a fantastic experience!

Came in yesterday with my Husband. The first thing I noticed was how amazing the decor was…it really had such a warm unique vibe to it. The food was soo good honestly I was impressed with every bite. We were able to play board games as well while eating and drinking our chai latte; (which was…by the way, on point)This was a great start to our night. Not from Blackpool but will ensure to come here everytime we are. The owner was extremely friendly and kind and definitely added to the already, very pleasant atmosphere.

After the madness of walking through main Blackpool this place felt like heaven! Like stepping back in time and transferring into an old living room with lamps and fire flames on the TV. It's very cozy and relaxing. There are lots of board games to play if you want to and in the evening it's a music venue too. We were welcomed by the owner and at the end of our visit we felt like we made a new friend....it was really lovely. We were sad to say goodbye! Food was also delicious and all plant based. The jerk chicken toastie and rice was amazing and good value.....plenty of it too. Chocolate milkshake was good and again good value. Nice selection of food, coffees etc on the menu. Even had fudge cake but we were too full to attempt it 😋 We loved our time here. Felt like a little safe haven when you need to escape the madness. This would certainly be a regular visit if we lived here. Fantastic place.... fab food, fab owner and unusual environment. Every place should have a Cozy Jazz Cafe. 😀🎶🎷🎸🎼

Ever been into an eatery where you feel you could simply kick off your shoes, snuggle up onto the comfy settee and enjoy real home cooked plant based nosh freshly picked from a domestic plot down the road??? The only unnatural item I indulge was a can of Rubicon to accompany my sumptuous jerk "chickan", the "a" is on purpose 😝 ... Josh the cook cum waiter cum cashier cum owner cum jazz musician is a really delightful character, I left fully contented, with a vegan chocky cake takeaway for evening snack. Don't repeat the same mistake I did by assuming the place is not open as it looks closed on the outside! Apparently that's the New Orleans look ...nope Josh is from Birmingham, not from over the pond. I WILL BE BACK definitely.... An experience never to be missed, but repeated...

What a little gem!!! We were up north and googled vegan places near Blackpool. The food, welcome, and vibe was just awesome here. Really good value for decent (VERY tasty) portions. Only issue is that we DEFINITELY should have got a slice of cake each to take away, rather than one to share! Get yourself down here pronto

Closes at 10pm Thursday, kitchen closed at 720... left unfed. No pick up or reply to Google-listed mobile number/text. Not sure would make the effort to go back... Shame.

4stars is for being all vegan in Blackpool which is unheard of. And person working there was lovely. The location isn't great a bit away from everything but easy enough to find. The coffee was just not good. No microfoam. Taste wasn't good. Sitting in with a paper cup. Choc cake was nice but not what I expected. Served in cardboard box. The pics on reviews showed it on a plate with strawberries and cream. But...£6 for coffee and cake is good value in an indy cafe! I was going to sit and do some work for a couple of hours but the only other customers seemed to be on a date with 1 playing guitar at the other so it wasn't the right vibe. I think I'd recommend it more for the evening for food and lunch if you have a group. Weird vibe for solo cafe in the afternoon with coffee&cake

Absolutely phenomenal little place. I was quite anxious walking in as small cafes give me some anxiety, but the food on offer sounded too good to ignore. Walking in, it's like walking into a living room. Lots of beautiful artwork all over the walls, happy little trinkets spotted throughout the entire room, music, boardgames, and super friendly service. The owner is a truly wonderful guy, who does indeed make some incredible food. Packed with flavours and the chai latte was the best I've had in a long while. Priced extremely well, especially with the amount of food you get. Very happy we went in hungry. Thank you so much for the great hospitality and food, we will be back one day!!

Really atmospheric, lovely food with loads of flavour. We’d recommend the jerk chick’n (vegan) and rice, absolutely delicious and huge portions. Very calming jazz music and our host even accompanied it with his own flute! Would definitely return, just go for it and don’t let any preconceptions put you off!

Probably the only wholesome thing in the whole of Blackpool. Being a vegan, I thought my best options would be Greggs. But Google directed me to this little oasis and I was delightfully surprised. Decorated somewhere between a hippy festival tent, a Moroccan bazaar and a quirky New Orleans jazz cafe all mixed together. The pleasant, eclectic music being played and the service by the warm and smiling owner, I'd say the atmosphere is lovely. The food is absolutely delicious, healthy, and vibrant. We both left full up to the brim for a very reasonable amount spent. I highly recommend. And if I am ever in Blackpool again, I will definitely return to hear, and possibly join in with, the live Jazz played in the evenings.

A wonderful place, easy to miss as there's so much in Blackpool, but uniquely brilliant. Eclectic decor, great food, reasonable prices, but what really sets it apart is the atmosphere. It's only a small place, but there is always an interesting conversation on offer if you share a table, as well as great tunes, often accompanied by the owner, Josh, playing his flute, or percussion, which can lead to impromptu jam sessions... If this sounds like it's up your street, check it out, Thursdays to Sundays, 2pm to 10pm, I'm so glad I did.

Genuint godt sted å komme til. I feel the Cosy Jazz Cafe is a portal for good spirit to enter Blackpool. When you meet someone, you can't unmeet them. Josh is one of those who makes that meaningfull.

This warm and cozy cafe definitely saved me and my friends from freezing weather. We spent a wonderful afternoon here, enjoying the owner's saxophone jaming and playing the board games he provided. It was wonderful, like being guests in an old friend's living room. Definitely come back again.

Struggled to find anywhere with more than one vegan option in Blackpool. So it was such a delight to come across this unique place. The food was fantastic, and the atmosphere was so relaxed with beautiful Jazz music playing in the background. The decor is fabulous! Lots of musical instruments and antiques everywhere. This place is a must whether your vegan or not.

Amazing lunch today at Cozy Jazz cafe! Josh was so sweet and welcoming and the food is amazing! So full of flavour and large portion sizes! We had to take leftovers home as we couldn't finish it. Can't wait to return and try more items!

The ambience is soo warm and cozy. There were very very limited options on the menu but none the less, food was good. There are a variety of games available to select from. We had a really good time there

I wasn't sure what to expect at first, but soon the atmosphere shone through, as did the owner and the food. Cosy - tick, vegan - tick, great music - tick! Our 4 year old had a lovely toastie and thoroughly enjoyed playing with all the instruments/ fascinating objects around the cafe. The food was great. An absolute vegan gem that is walking distance from the main promenade - it was soooo welcomed after all the fast food only available on the front.

I travel a lot with work and always seek out the best vegan / veg eatery. Few come close to Cozy Jazz and non surpass it. Great food. Big portions, lovely owner and a really nice coxy relaxing space to spend time in. If you are a vegan, veggie or meat eater you are misssing out if you visit Blackpool and don't eat here.

Amazing experience in a beautiful place run by a fantastic owner. We are not vegans (in fact quite the opposite) but we absolutely loved the food. Great place for dinner or even a coffee. Definitely a must in Blackpool.

Some of the most sublime vegan food I've had. Takeaway was taken down to the beach to eat whilst watching the sun go down. Passed the Café on the way back and just had to stop and tell the owner how nice his food was. Extremely laid back place, very eclectic. Would highly recommend!

Unexpected vegan food in my home town. If only I had known about the Cosy Jazz Cafe before, the food, the service, the ambiance and value for money were unbeatable. Josh the owner/chef/waiter/one man jazz band was very welcoming and paid the right amount of attention to his visitors. Two choosy vegetarians plus one committed meat eater were greatly impressed with the quality of the food. The short wait for our meals gave us the chance to use the dominoes provided on the table plus starting a game of chess. Where else could you combine good music, great food and some family bonding? Even the bill was a pleasant surprise. Definitely worth visiting again and again.

Loved this place, such a vibe! Laid back, allowed our dog in, the decor is very quirky, so much to look at. There's lots of books to read or games to play. Food was delicious, we had jerk chicken rice which was full of flavour and there was plenty of it! We took some back with us to finish. Plus some chocolate fudge cake which was also delicious! Owner josh is very friendly. Will definitely be back!

Came here with my husband who had the vegan jerk chicken cheesy toastie with rice, I had the vegan jerk chicken, rice and peas. It was the tastiest food we ate all weekend (the descriptions don't do the food justice). Food is prepared to order and while you wait there are heaps of games to play inc Chess, good music playing and plenty of interesting artefacts to look at. Would definitely recommend to all. Had we had longer we would have gone back for one of the evening jam sessions too. Thank you :-)

Went into a record shop and the chap mentioned this place as my misses mentioned we were struggling for vegan eateries whilst in Blackpool. What a shout, thanks for that mate. I stayed near promenade and this is the only place around there where I got nutritious tasty food. Lovely vegan people with vegan owner and cosy atmosphere. And the only place I miss from my three weeks stay in Blackpool.

This place is awesome, the decore is so interesting with things from years ago and thing for yesterday. The food was really tasty and pretty reasonably priced, I had the burger toastie and I'm definitely having it again next time. The chocolate fudge brownie milkshake was to die for. The best thing about this Caffè is the owner, such a cool and genuine person, super friendly,funny and accommodating. Overall one of the best places to experience in Blackpool. You rock dude

A little haven in the hustle and lights of Blackpool. If you're looking for a great vegan meal and THE BEST COFFEE in town, with an eclectic selection of jazz music, this is the place to be. Beautifully curated interior and the best host (Josh) you can ask for. If you play an instrument, there are quite a few around for you to give a crack at, and Josh will probably come around to jam with you with his bongos. On weekend nights, you might be able to find some fine jazz musicians playing live music 5/5

I loved the place, all sort of ancient stuff inside, brought back some cool memories. Also some great arts up the wall too. The owner is pretty cool and humble too. It was the best brunch I ever had! So tasty, healthy and hearty meal! Also great coffee too. You won't be seeing the last of me 😉 To vegetarians and vegans, please go and check it out! You won't be disappointed I'd promise you that!
