Coffee On The Hoof in Conwy

Since this place opened earlier this year I have visited a few times. Great location for picking up a drink and / or a cake / crisps on your way to or back from the beach. Sells locally sourced produce, with good variety and staff friendly. Was pleased to discover that the hut is also solar and wind powered!

Coffee On The Hoof is a takeout coffee shop operating out of a converted horse box which is parked up on West Parade, close to the West Shore Promenade. We had a latte, a tea and a piece of tiffin cut into two so we could share and which we carried over to enjoy whilst sat on one of the benches on the prom. The coffee and tea were both very good but the tiffin was amazing. I believe the cookies, cakes, etc are locally sourced and the tiffin was clearly not something that had been mass produced and vacuum wrapped. Although we only had half a piece each I'm sure we both consumed 100,000 calories, but it was well worth the additional weight gained! The only thing I can see becoming a problem is that it's the proverbial one man band business and all the coffees are made to order. We visited on a fairly quiet Saturday morning in April and there was a bit of a wait so I'd imagine there'll be a bit of a queue during the peak holiday period. If you do see a queue then it's worth persevering, especially for the tiffin.
