The owner's are very friendly and welcoming, service is excellent and everything we enjoyed was top quality. The ingredients are imported from Italy and it shows in the flavour of the coffee, sandwiches and desserts. I highly recommend you support this local gem of a place if you appreciate top quality food and drink. 5 stars, highly recommended.

Once it was closed on a Saturday and I was heartbroken. Love these people and the heart they put into their food. That’s why it tastes so good!!!!

I ordered a delicious sandwich to go with some cannolis and cake. All were excellent. The chap who served me was very friendly and helped me with my order. Along the way, I was offered to try the ingredients of the sandwich I will be back!

We had a sit down to a light lunch with wine, which was put in a Bluetooth light changing ice bucket, so we went for Italian music of course, followed by dessert,coffee ,followed by shopping for our lunch then next day, very welcoming, very knowledgeable and helpful in choice, it was very busy as the the food is very good, we will be back,

We happened to stop by at Argos and noticed this italian cafe. Just went in to see what they offer so glad we did! They do a selection of Italian cheeses, salami, Italian coffee and other drinks. Owner and his wife so warm and welcoming! Tody offered some goodies to taste. We picked up Italian lasagne, coffee, Parmesan cheese & homemade tiramisu along with artichoke and sundried tomatoes. High quality ingredients. There were a few seats inside and outside, we’d defo go back to try other goodies. Highly recommended!!

How come this has been open so long and I've not tried it? Lovely friendly people who give samples to help you choose what to have. I have cooked with the pasta they sell and it's really high quality stuff that grabs onto the sauce it's served with. Today we bought some foccaccia, Milano salami, parma ham, pecorino siciliana and made sandwiches when we got home which were out of this world! I also bought some Mulino Bianco biscuits that we love, Macine and Batticuori. Just before we left the shop we were given a taster of the homemade tirimisu, which was so good I vowed to revisit the shop on Saturday morning to get some for my father in law's birthday. I will now visit this shop as often as I can. 😋❤️👌

I’ve wanted to visit Cody’s Italian Shop for such a long time but my work schedule didn’t allow - today I had a chance to go in just before they closed and I’m blown away! The staff are so welcoming and knowledgeable. I was given so much great advice about what I was buying. I got cold cuts, cheese, bread, guanciale, cannolis and a huge sandwich. I shared the sandwich with my partner when we got home and he went straight on Uber Eats to order another one (sadly they’d already closed but so pleased to see they deliver to us!!) I’ll definitely be returning for more supplies when I’m next able to - 10/10 experience ♥️

Cody's Italian is amazing. Greeted from the moment you walk in, nice friendly conversation, they are proud of their produce and are happy to share samples. We had two sandwiches both of which were their recommendations which tasted fantastic. The cannoli's tasted amazing too.

As an Italian I really love the place, it is a lovely “Alimentari” in which sell the nostalgic biscuits which remind me of when I was a kid preparing for school, and other products which are difficult if not impossible to find elsewhere. The owners are super friendly and share anecdotes and interesting stories while preparing and serving you delicious piadine and sandwiches. They often cook large portions of dishes for you to either freeze or eat as soon as you get home. I absolutely love their parmigiana! I have bought their cakes and sweets many times, thanks to which I always impressed my guest when hosting a dinner. I would recommend their Tiramisu’. The owners are also really understanding and kind, as I often brought my little puppy with me to get a quick coffee and they were more than happy to let me sit inside and rest with him, they often offered him some nice prosciutto as a treat! I could not recommend this place more!

Found out about the shop passing by, got it to get a few Aragostinas and Cannolis. They were lovely and the customer service was very friendly. Will be coming back another day to try the deli offer.

Went to codys today and the food was phenomenal. The service was amazing too the person who served us was friendly and made some excellent recommendations on what to get. 2 friends and i had some of their freshly made sandwiches which tasted amazing one of the best sandwiches i’ve ever had. Will defo be coming here again. On a side note they also have an amazing selection of authentic Italian groceries, ill certainly be coming back and doing some shopping there too.

Great real Italian deli shop !! you can find a great variety of fresh cold cuts and cheeses as well as many other typical Italian grocery products and patisserie. I lived in Italy for about 10 years and I can guarantee that this place is authentic and traditional! I'm just about to try the Arancini, which comes all the way from Sicily. Absolutely love the place and it's so great to see that is still there, years after my last visit.

Wow a big thank you to Cody & his wife for their warm welcome today. We couldn't believe how good the service and quality was today. We had a very large gourmet mixed salami platter for £7.50- a fraction of the price it would be equivalent in the supermarket. We also got freshly baked bread and a cheese to try. We are very lucky to have these independent businesses in Bearwood. We will be back to try out more!

If you want to shop authentic high quality Italian products then you must visit Cody's Italian shop. The shop delivers an amazing selection of home made and delicious Italian food. I am regular customer and I travel all the way from Telford to shop at Cody's. Tiramisu, Cannoli, and Sfogliatelle are a few of the best, most classic Italian desserts you must try while you are at Cody's.

My new favourite cafe. Great, friendly, knowledgeable service. Absolutely amazing sandwiches, with beautiful fresh ingredients served on the best bread this side of Italy. Great value for the quality on offer.

Great Parmigiana and Tiramasu and friendly service

What a fantastic authentic Italian deli! Popped in on Saturday after a recommendation from a friend and we were not disappointed! We were warmly welcomed as we entered the shop by the staff. With a wonderful array of meats, cheeses and sweet treats to choose from we were spoilt for choice! Staff very knowledgeable and passionate about their produce and encouraged us to try before we brought! Fabulous experience we will definitely be back!

A piece of Italy in Bearwood. They serve the most delicious Piadini I have ever eaten. The Aubergine Parmigiana is also delicious, along with the Arancini. If I could give Cody's more than 5 stars I would!

Ordered a vegetarian pizza from here today and it was honestly the best pizza I've eaten outside of Italy.

Love this place, so hard to find a high quality sandwich and they are still reasonably priced. The desserts and kinder selection are dangerous!

I work all over the UK and Ireland have done for 20 years and Cody’s in Bearwood has gone straight in my top 5 ever and number 1 for real Italian food I was blown away by the happy welcome I received I got what I can only describe as the best Italian sandwich I’ve ever had from the amazing bread to the fresh ingredients I can’t put into words how amazing it was if you haven’t been it’s a must visit. I can’t wait to get back this is a 10 /10 on anybody’s review

Che meraviglia!!! Hands down the best spot in Birmingham to experience an authentic slice of Italy! Try one of their freshly made ciabattas for the best sandwich you’ve ever had, sample their amazing authentic Italian sweet treats or stock up on the best Italian groceries. Most Italian I’ve felt since I lived in Italy. Staff are so welcoming too. Cant recommend enough!

Despite living in Bearwood I had been unaware of this little wonder-shop until a friend encouraged me to visit today. A treasure trove hidden in plain sight on the high street. Cody & Co were extremely welcoming and generous with their time and service inviting me to sample salamis from Venice and Tuscany and fine cheeses too. The Sicilian sugared-orange rind and ricotta cannoli are to die for! So happy to now know this place exists and shall be returning!

What a hidden gem! Fantastic produce sourced directly from Italy! It can be difficult to get great quality produce from Italy but these guys deliver. I highly recommend, thank you to Nicola and Christina who accommodated me lovely service and advice!

Cody's serve great coffee, meals, and sandwiches, and offer an excellent range of delicious Italian hams, salamis, and cheeses. The staff are warm and friendly and always happy to assist their cutomers in selecting the right products. The picture below shows a member of the proprietors' family accompanied by an entire Monza cheese weighing 25 KG!

Went in for arogostine (which were delicious) and picked up an Italian style wrap. It was incredible, choose from anything on the deli counter in a warm slightly toasted flatbread, the olives and mortadella were real standouts. Not forgetting the Valentine's day special tiramisu with pistachio cream and white chocolate, also fantastic.

A small piece of Italy here in .Birmingham, and so glad to have found it.Went in to browse, and ended up getting a brilliant cookery lesson (how to make a really good Sunday sauce) from the owner. Now that is customer service. The produce is superb with top quality meats and cheese. With staff that are really friendly and ready to help with any questions. A fantastic experience for any food fan. E ora si mangia

One of the best coffee in Birmingham, the most Delicious tiramisu cake in the world, tasty sandwiches, many choice of cheese and meat, salami. Amazing atmosphere. 100 percent recommend!

Me and my dad visited this lovely shop last minute today as we were desperate to have some italian biscuits , we were welcomed by big smiles and a familair italian greeting by cody and his wife ! We sampled some prosciutto and pecorino which brought us back to our chilhood memories from italy ! The quality of the food is impeccable! Authetnic italian deserts and so many of every italian house hold staple buscuits , snacks ans drinks ! All for a very good price with very friendly and kind owners ! This will definetly be a shop we visit regulalry from now on !

Cody's is a real gem on Bearwood high street, absolutely delicious food and lovely service. We've sampled a variety of meats for homemade pizza nights, one of our favourites is the fennel salami. If you're after lunch on the go, the piadinas are amazing, choose your filling from the cheese, meats and antipasti - a real treat! The homemade tiramisu is the best tiramisu we've eaten, you're spoilt for choice with sweets and desserts but this is our favourite. Definitely worth a visit, Bearwood is very lucky to have such a great place!

Visited Cody's on many occasions and it never fails... So friendly and helpful.. decided on the Italian wrap for lunch today and it was amazing... Salami mozzarella tomato rocket 100% recommended... Also the tiramisu is unreal

Bought some meats, cheeses and canolis today. The service in there was fantastic. Really friendly and got to try the meats. The problem then is you want everything as it's all so delicious!

Stopped by for lunch today as I had heard good things about their Italian produce and it didnt disappoint. Chose a piadina (light Italian wrap), with ham and cheese, which the girl serving me, helped me chose. Absolutely delicious and so fresh. Picked up some desserts for later. This is a foodie shopping experience, not somewhere you order and dash. As another reviewer mentioned; Do not go visit if you are in your hurry. Its a lovely Italian deli experience with the owner explaining everything carefully. What a treat in this day of Subway and McDonalds. We will be back!

Italian cuisine has to be one of my all-time favourites!!! And to have this wonderful shop come to bearwood is fantastic!!!! I wanted a platter of meats and cheeses for a party, and the lady I dealt with was so lovely. She made suggestions of what to have and let me try the different options along the way. I purchased a fresh loaf to go with the platter as well, and she even advised me how to heat it to give it the crispy outer shell to compliment it. The platter was constructed so beautifully and looked great once I got it home. We were also tempted by the sweet cabinet to which we succumbed to the hazelnut cannoli, lemon cannoli... and heaven in a box Tiramisu. The tiramisu was incredible!!! The only problem was I had to share it with my husband. But I would recommend this shop, staff are lovely, very welcoming, clean and smelt amazing. Can't wait to go back for one of their sandwiches!!!

This place is such a random addition to Bearwood. I came in after seeing their Instagram posts, and wasn’t really sure what the process was. I had a espresso macciato and asked for the menu to be explained - the woman serving was helpful and explained through pictures the different options, ended up with a warm focaccia, mortadella, tomato, rocket sandwich. It was divine! Photos do not do this place justice. Parking is a nightmare but if you’re walking down this way stop in and get a sandwich!
