City road coffee shop in Stoke-on-Trent

Absolutely fantastic. First time we have eaten here and it won’t be the last. Fancied a breakfast and saw the large breakfast £10 small breakfast £9 so we had one of each and they did not disappoint. The food was great, we were asked how we would like our eggs and bacon which is great as I love mine well done and runny yolks. The staff were absolutely great, friendly and couldn’t do enough to help you and make you feel comfortable which when I say this I mean that they went over and above what we have ever experienced in any cafe/coffee shop. I love a good brew and their brew was bang on. If you’re hungry and passing anytime I would definitely recommend giving these guys a try.

Well what a fabulous hidden gem. As a chef I can say with total honesty, this is a place to go. Staff are friendly and welcoming, food is second to none, cooked and served with love. It shows. We're not in stoke often but it will be our stop of point from now on. Thsnkyou so much for making a sunny day brighter.

Amazing breakfast and friendly staff!

1st time visiting city road cafe. We received a very warm welcome as though we had visited a thousand times before. The owner was very helpful when ordering, as we ordered two large breakfasts but don't like all things on them. He said that swapping things was no issue and all this was with a smile. We sat at a table and waiting for our food, a very short amount of time but we were able to see it all being made and cooked to order. The plates arrived and we tucked in to a lovely, tasty breakfast. Usually a breakfast comes with a side a grease, but not at city road cafe. I would go as far to say this was one of the best breakfasts I've had. The staff were all lovely and did service with a smile. Lovely atmosphere, lovely food, lovely people who work there. Would 100% recommend.

I can't praise this place enough. I've just had the best pasta dish I have ever had. Freshly cooked just delicious we will be definitely coming every week just delicious

Needed a spot to have some breakfast after dropping my car off nearby for some work to be done. Dropped on this little gem of a cafe for a couple of sausage and cheese oatcakes and a massive mug of coffee. Just the job, friendly people and really good food.

Called in for Lunch as I was working the area. Was greeted by the very friendly cook and rest of the team. I asked if they did any chicken tikka fillings on their sandwiches and this was cooked fresh for me and is honestly the best sandwich I have had. Such great guys here and can’t wait to come back when next in the area.

Wow Food is 5 star. I had Bacon Mushrooms and Cheese Omelette and it was definitely worth the money it was full of the fillings. Portion size was big and it was tasty, would recommend City Road Cafe and recommend the Omlette. Great service even on a busy Saturday morning, 10/10

I have been to City Road cafe twice now and both times I’ve had a lovely meal. The food is fresh and tasty and orders are served quickly, the staff are friendly and always ready to chat which I like. The place itself is clean and has a cosy feel, I would definitely recommend a visit and will be going back soon myself.

There is not a bad thing about this place. The food is amazing and for an unbelievable price. But what has really sold me is how nice the staff are, and the lovely atmosphere with the patrons. It’s the sort of place that puts a smile on your face. I’ll be back soon!

Me and my father had the large English Breakfast , prepared, looked and tasted amazing and what truly sets this cafe apart is the owner. He was incredibly kind, approachable, and made sure we felt welcome. It’s rare to encounter such genuine hospitality. Overall, I can’t recommend this place enough. Excellent food, lovely atmosphere, and exceptional service make it a five-star gem! I’ll definitely be back soon.

We had the roast lamb dinner as a takeaway, wow wow it was so delicious, everything cooked to perfection, proper mash, variety of vegetables brill, lamb was a good portion and cooked really well, melt in the mouth, can not rate this highly enough, would recommend all day long and the staff are fab too, why go anywhere else , we going to make this our weekend treat , prices very good and affordable, thank you for a lovely roast dinner, just like mother made

Fantastic community cafe where everyone is made to feel welcome. If you want a quiet moment you can have one, if you want to chat your welcome, if you are feeling lonely come and meet new people. Excellent food as well. Chicken kebab is superb

We have been using for quite a while now for breakfast on Friday at work and can honestly say that none of the lads have ever complained. It's bob on, the staff are friendly and polite and the pricing is fair, you can't ask for more 5*

Had a 6inch roll, sausage,egg and hash brown and a brew.. first time calling and will be back.. Great value for money nice and friendly. Only waited for 5 minutes for food. The tea was a proper builders brew too cannot rate any less than 5 stars.

Visited today with my mum and grandson as its my grandsons favourite. He had homemade cheese burger, which he says is as big as his head, he eats half there and half to take home for tea. My mum and myself tried the steak and salad for the 1st time, and definitely won't be our last. It was the most tender and juicy steak ever, no fat whatsoever. The guys that work there are pretty awesome and so friendly. They go out of there way to ensure your food is just the way you like it. Highly recommend and amazing value for money. Two steak salads, one giant cheesburger, one can of coke and two large coffee cost £22.50. Bargain

Just visited this place with my husband and 2 year old for breakfast and I can't recommend this place enough.... my little boy had a cheese oatcake and we had 2 large breakfasts... that large we couldint eat it all but absolutely delicious 😋 so accommodating towards our little boy ... Craig (I think was his name) such a lovely bloke and couldint do enough for us.... highly recommend and will be visiting again in the near future... especially now we know they do Sunday roasts... thank you 😊

Called in today for a bite to eat and was greeted and served by Ali and Craig who go the extra mile to make you feel very welcome. The menu has plenty of different options to choose from (all freshly cooked on the premises) so we were a little spoilt for choice of what to have. Our food was on point, tasty and delicious. We've been nipping in here for the last few years and have never been disappointed so would highly recommend as visit.
