Charlies Chicken in Poole

stopped there with some friends on way to a bar (5pm in evening) ordered the Naga Chicken Wrap…. it was absolutely amazing!! One of the best wraps i have ever eaten 10/10

The amount of times i have ordered on just eat and they have cancelled the order after 10/15mins of confirming it! The wraps are good but the sides not so good! Roosters it is!

Best chicken wrap I’ve ever had !!! Was so fulling and everything I had expected. Would 100% recommend and definitely go again.

Great food, with a very tasty wrap. Good service and quick when ordered, medium sauce on wrap is better than Nandos. Only ever had great friendly service here and will absolutely go agaion

Wouldn’t recommend this place to eat. Everything has to be ordered separately no meal offers. Food is expensive for what you get. Worst place I have been to eat.

After a long walk with friends we were hungry and came across the store - the menu looked reasonable so we thought we would go for it. What a mistake that was, after waiting for 30mins for the food to be ready the food was one of the worst iv had. I might have well been eating a ikea flat pack, the chicken wrap was that dry and tasted of cardboard. The chips where chewy and the corn was so squishy. The smoothy which we thought would be made from fresh as seemed that way on the menu also disappointed as tasted so artificial and we saw no actually fruit going into it. Let's hope the chocolate gateau is better.. However that will have to wait for tommorow now as a feel very sick.

Really impressed with all of the food I’ve tried from here so far. I highly recommend the Naga chicken, smoothie and sweet potato fries, it is all so tasty. The food is cooked in front of you and the staff were all really friendly. Being a healthier choice for eating out this is where I will always be coming back.

Went there to eat with two freinds, we had green smoothies drinks , chicken and vegtable dishes ,it was really tasty, with no fat or that " greasy " taste you often get with take away foods ,I believe the food is steamed so is healthy, without that healthy bland taste you might expect. I willbe eating there again

No meat on the chicken and the rice was dry, which I have always found the case at Charlie's and the broccoli soggy for 12 odd quid Its not what you want, finally last time I will be going there, the naga chicken also wasnt the same last time I ordered it, I think it has gone downhill the past year, smoothies never available .

We have been introduced to Charlie’s chicken 2 years ago and we were never ever disappointed as their food is simply mouthwatering… We have tried most of their dishes and honestly loved them all. Their service is excellent and their prices are unbeatable.. highly recommended..

I love Charlie’s chicken, never had a reason to complain but I went there today and ordered a pistachio milkshake, the bearded chef clearly had attitude and didn’t want to make one, anyhow he made one and it was disgusting. I always get a pistachio milkshake and I love it but today it tasted like water and milk. I love Charlie’s so I won’t stop going there but I will definitely avoid the pistachio milkshake when he’s working. (Chicken burgers and wraps are next level)

Had a chicken wrap and it was clearly reheated. Chicken was terrible, Like warm and rock hard. It was inedible, had to throw it away.I was a regular aswell and will not be returning

Been here few times the wraps are so yummy would highly recommend well worth the money. Never have to wait long.

I work in an office no more than 5 minutes from Charlie's Chicken. We placed an order last week of over £50 that was guaranteed to be available at 1:30pm. Nothing too complicated, some chicken wraps, fries and a side of garlic bread; it seemed like a straightforward process. I arrived to the member of staff packing my order into a bag. I paid the bill, and waited. And waited.... And waited... The order was then taken out of the bag, every meal unwrapped to check that it was correct, and completely remade in front of my eyes, At 1:50, and after a 20 minute wait at the counter, I was finally told "we're just getting everything ready". I forcefully explained I was due back at work, and had been told the food would be ready on arrival. The member of staff at the till shrugged, then turned his back and spoke to one of the cooks. 25 minutes after I originally turned up, I was given my order, and had a creased bag of chips slapped down on the counter as a peace offering. I returned to my office, provided each of my colleagues with their respective orders, and watched in bemusement as all of them opened their meals to find the food was either cold, incorrect, or simply absent. My own BBQ chicken wrap tasted like it was marinaded in Fairy Liquid. I called Charlie's immediately to complain about the quality of the food and service, and the member of staff I spoke to apologised and promised the next order we made would be gratis. Today I made that follow up order, completely put off by my previous experience, but happy to accept a free lunch on them. I will live to rue this mistake. We arrived to collect the order, and were told the promise of a free order was only for one wrap, and that we had to pay £25. We expressed this was the last time we would visit, and I hoped to leave this terrible experience there. Having returned to the office and finally sampled their sorry excuse of a lunch; the food was cold, bland, and in parts raw. I always look for new cooking methods, and i'm intrigued to see how the process of deep frying a chip can do nothing to the potato itself... Until this point I have never seen "Charlie" in the shop, and this absence is fully understandable. If I had any affiliation with somewhere this bad, i'd never leave the house. Utterly horrendous.

I visited here on Wednesday 26th April and I've got to say it's the best crunchy chicken wrap I've ever had! A lot better than KFC and Nando's any day. I even had 2 smoothies because they tasted so good. Cheers guys, see you again!!

I used to absolutely love Charlie's chicken, probably went there a little too often! Until the last time, after having a long journey home I decided to get a chicken wrap from Charlie's in the afternoon, went to bed, woke up at 1am feeling absolutely horrendous, I was vomiting for about 24 hours with horrific stomach pain, I emailed them on Facebook and told them that I think I had food poisoning from the take away on Ashley road, their response was that it couldn't have been them, however it was only possible that it was them, spent the few days before this with my sister and we are exactly the same, it was only after eating this that this had happened, anyway I wasn't complaining to them, I was telling them just so they could be careful for future reference, after emailing them back I didn't hear anything from them again, so...terrible customer service! And clearly Re heated (but not safely) food! Haven't eaten there since and won't be doing so again!

We got the medium chicken wrap from the broadstone charlies' and it was awesome! Best I've had in some time!

Wow what has happened to this place!!!Was a regular at the Ashley road store a few years ago with no problems but obviously the stress of running two stores has taken its toll.Ordered our first delivery from Broadstone at 18:38 21/01/17, one item arrived wrong, no problem, we call to get resolved, the lady who answered remembered our order and apologised saying it was her fault and she had put the ticket through wrong, she then asked her boss what to do, to which he replied 'they will have to pay for what they want then', when I said your having a laugh, she said there's nothing I can do the boss has said you have to pay for another one.Shocking customer service after the salesperson admits it was her wrong doings.I will not be returning and will be advising friends and family to stay away.

Algunos amigos me han dicho acerca de esta empresa y no puedo creer que me llevó este largo para comprobarlo - gran pollo envolturas que son muy saludables. . . Elegir la salsa. - recomiendo el ajo! Cada respirar una delicia! ! Me he tomado varios amigos para el almuerzo, más de 6 visitas, cada vez que un éxito!

Had a Friday night takeaway delivered from here. Ordering was easy and the food arrived hot and tasty. I have to say that I found it more moist than a Nando's and would rather support a local business. I had a whole (!) chicken and my son had a wrap

I'm a regular Charlies customer. The peri-peri chicken is always spot on and never been disappointed. Very tasty! Recommend the sweet potato mash. Delivery can take over an hour on weekends - so order well in advance!

Had a hulumi pitta which consisted off a over cooked pitta, two small pieces of hulumi lots of lettuce and loads of unrequested mayo which took away any flavour. The chips were also nothing to rave about. Waist of calories and money. Service was good shame about the food

Been here a couple of times just to make sure they werent having a bad night..... just as rude both times. Food was average for the price, cant pay by card. Will not return they dont deserve the custom.

After a stressful and upsetting day with sad news, my partner and I decided to try and have a relaxing night with take-away, after two hours and 3 calls later, our food showed up soggy and cold and both the delivery person and the people on the phone were extremely rude which just added to the crappy day

If your after a healthy takeaway then this is ideal, the prices are reasonable and there is enough on the menu to choose from. The wraps are very tasty and the waiting time is spot on, you can eat in if you want but there is only a couple of seats.

Gorgeous. I HIGHLY recommend the naga chicken wrap. It is probably the best chicken wrap I've had to date. The portions are very generous, the food is great, the staff are as friendly as they can possibly be, there is obviously abit of a language difficulty as with most takeaways but they have always been friendly enough and helpful when providing advice on which food to have! Slightly pricey for some people I imagine but quality fresh food all round. My favourite takeaway so will be eating here whenever I can. One improvement would be if they delivered slightly further away :) We had an issue where my partner forgot to ask for BBQ sauce in her wrap and they had absolutely no worries doing another one for her, even though it was totally our mistake.

Used this for more than 10 times now and never missed to deliver, good chicken. We always order it with no sauce because here at home we all have different taste, but we all love chicken! Unfortunately sometimes mixed with the fresh chicken grilled with no sauce comes a half that you can see was marinated in some kind of sauce but cleaned to fulfill the order, still good though but not the same. Keep on the good work, I know it's a family run business so well done guys, we need more people like you

Really good freshly cooked food, full of flavour. I had the sweet potato mash - best mash potato I have ever tried, silky smooth and amazing. Chicken wrap was really filling, packed with chicken.Thanks Charlies Chicken :D

In a fantastic location for easy collection day or night! Sampled a few of there items and all great, the best has to be the sweet potatoes something I'm generally not a fan of but Charlies are the best! If you in the Ashely Cross or Broadstone area and like chicken you'd be crazy not to try them! Simply Fantastic.

We have been having Charlie's at least 2-3 times a month for around a year now, I would highly recommend the Large Naga Wrap, we have tried most of the others but we always go back to the Naga. It is a relatively healthier alternative to most other takeaways in the area and we have recommended it to loads of people who have all loved it.

Why Halal??? Glad I am veggie, what a shame I thought the menu looked great for my family till I noticed the HALAL logo. I thought is might mean they catered for the minority that ate Halal Meat? my husband has confirmed by going in that all the meat is slaughtered under the Halal banner. Lots of friends have now decided they won't use it.

I strongly recommend that you try the Naga Wraps from Charlies Chicken - they are fresh, very tasty, good value & make a great change from burgers etc..PL - Parkstone

I was in Broadstone & wanted something quick that wasn't too unhealthy so opted for a Chicken wrap with the coconut & mango flavour. I am a fan of both Nandos & Roosters & have to say this wrap was better. The chicken was lovely, very tender & I loved the sauce.Also this may sound silly but I always take the lettuce out of a nandos wrap as it's always soggy! But because they use quite crunchy lettuce here it stayed crunchy & fresh - amazing!I noticed they have gluten free options too so I will definitely be returning with my gluten avoiding friends. A really good find.

Extremely rude on the telephone and in person, no communication skills whatsoever. Food is extremely over-priced for an average standard of food.

Very boring, so obviously a rip off of Nando's it's incredible that they have avoided legal action. The menu transposes pretty much exactly to Nando's, which is another very average eating establishment. I thought that this establishment could be a more artisan and product interested chain than Nando's, how wrong I was. The chicken is bland, it doesn't taste freshly grilled, the skin was limp and not crisp and the sauce has not been marinaded with the chicken long enough. The spicy rice is almost completely tasteless and rubbery. I returned from a long stay in Portugal the day before my visit, having eaten authentic piri-piri chicken and fries many times, this just depressed me. This is not a hard meal to get right, but it is obviously beyond the proprietors of this chain. Will advise all others not to bother. Save your money.

Lightly succulent chicken with salad and piri piri sauce, with sweet potato fries as a side. Most delicious and definitely worth the 10-15 minute wait. The shop was crammed with people as it was a Saturday evening, this is a popular place and rightly so.

I had a bbq wrap and the chicken was moist and tasty. I dont mind waiting 5 minutes if the food is this good. I will be back soon, thankyou charlies chicken for great food!!

We have been loyal customers of Charlie's Chicken since it first opened, ordering from them on a very regular basis. Unfortunately we have seen a marked decline in the quality of their food, with non existent customer service to the extent that we will not be using them again. If you opt for delivery, be aware that you could be waiting in excess of the time they advise. We have experienced this a couple of times and have needed to ring to get an update. It would not have hurt for them to ring us out of courtesy to inform us of any delay or offer any kind of discount/extra in acknowledgement of their delay. Very poor service, particularly as they were not interested, or at least that was the impression we were left with. More recently, having collected an order, on getting home, we were given chicken instead of a beef burger. The chicken was overcooked and dry. The burger bun was soggy and not very pleasant. We rang to give our feedback in a constructive way but they were not at all receptive. There was no offer to correct our order and there was barely any acknowledgement of the feedback we gave, having seen a decline during the time we have been loyal customers. They just did not care. Not good enough. The quality of their food has declined, their customer service and ability to value their customers is very poor. They do not listen to their customers. A great shame but we will not be using them again.

Being a huge red meat fan I normally find chicken bland and tasteless or covered in sinful herbs/ spices and oil with isn't exactly healthy. I have now worked my way through most of the menu and can't believe just how varied and tasty the dishes are. Naga chicken to die for, moist succulent sweet chilli chicken or bathed in corriander & garlic sauce yum. And of course when I need a healthy hit of red meat you can't beat the burger crammed full with slices of juicy beef. Friendly staff who can't do enough to make sure everything is perfect and with everything visable you know its going to be freshly made and good quality - For those who complain that service is slow and not big enough portions suggest you go back to KFC for greasy tasteless lumps og gristle that have been standing around forever and fill your faces. Healthy peopl;e choose Charlies

I love this take away, the food is tasty and fresh and just a bonus that it's healthy as well. The kids meals are also great, my little boy is a big fan! The staff are also very polite and friendly. You should try this place, I will definitely be going back.

My partner and I went here for take away and had to wait half an hour for our food. When I complained the staff were rude and suggested we go elsewhere! Once we got the food it was of a very poor standard - akin to a kebab shop. I would avoid this place like the plague.

We ordered lunch at work from Charlie's based on a recommendation and after seeing that they deliver. However, we were very disappointed to firstly discover that they only deliver in the evenings (this is not stated on their website). So a colleague drove to collect the food, but we were even more disappointed when it arrived. In most dishes, the chicken was dry and flavourless, and one meal even contained very questionable pink chicken. Also, one main and one side were missing and when we called to complain we were told we would have to return to Ashley Road to collect the missing food. We were not impressed and even more angry when they asked for someone's bank details to be TEXTED to them so they could refund the cost of the missing food. They missed a trick here as we could have become regular customers but instead we shall all now be avoiding the place with a barge pole and heading straight to Nandos.

I have to work on Ashley Road every now and again and always pop in here for a little snack when i do ., wide choice and always cooked to order and fresh and you can have your food with many different sauces , portions are good and its not expensive and if in the area and you fancy something other then chips, burgers or kebabs then try this place , by the way you can get chips and burgers here too

Charlie's chicken shop is by far the best takeaway I have had, all cooked fresh in front of your eyes, good quality ingredients. If your looking for a heathy takeaway this is the place to go, good value for money too!!!

I love this place and eat there regularly. The chicken is really good quality and the sauces are really tasty. The portion sizes are good and it's not expensive, it's easy takeaway food that's good for you!

Me vas my colleagues work for Palmer snell estate agents on tne Ashley road in parkstone and couldn't say enough good things about charlies chicken... To say the portions are small is crazy?! It's fresh healthy food, good size portions for less money than all the other competitors I.e Nandos, roosters etc... Would recommend it to anyone.

Having been a regular customer of Charlie's chicken since it opened,I felt the need to leave a review,I usually go after going to the gym,so have a big appetite but also need to watch what I eat,the nutrition guide on the menu is a fantastic idea,helps keep me within my calorific boundaries.The food is unbelievably tasty,fresh and cooked perfectly so the chicken just falls off the bone.The portion sizes are good,I have an entire meal inc chicken,sweet potato mash and coleslaw and is under £10,I am always left full afterwards and never crave anything else.The sauces are so tasty and having tried them all,I cannot pick a favourite, so never get bored as always have a large choice of what I order.The salads are also a great idea and very tasty,not many other takeaways can offer such things as an avocado salad!Smoothies and milkshakes are also on the menu,my favourite being a banana and peanut butter smoothy with a spoonful of honey.On the whole I cannot rate this place highly enough,food and drinks so very tasty,and the staff are always so friendly,welcoming and genuinely make time to speak to you,if you visit 1 takeaway,you'll be hard pushed to beat this 1.

I didn't expect much from this little takeaway but tried it on a whim. I was pleasantly surprised, it's like Nandos, but actually value for money unlike Nandos. I've eaten there a handful of times now to try a few things on the menu and have liked all the meals I've ordered. I've eaten in Smokey's next door which is good, but Charlie's is better. I think Charlie's is less popular because the fat content is lower. Fat is what makes junk food so attractive, and Charlie's is lean fast food, they don't normally go hand in hand. I would urge people to try this place and write a review, I have no doubt Charlie's will rise up the trip advisor rankings in no time!

The portion sizes were a joke & it’s not cheap. I am no big eater and tend to prefer having a smaller portion when eating out/having a take away but this takes the biscuit.I had a thin chicken breast with the smallest avocado salad I've ever seen in my life (this was a few salad leaves with barely 1/4 of an avocado) and that was £5.50, I also had the satay king prawns for £3.90 which were 4 prawns stretched across 2 skewers (almost £1 per prawn is a bit excessive)Although the food was tasty it was not good enough to make up for such a little amount of food.I chose to use this restaurant to save me cooking and to have something healthy. My main meal was so pathetic that I ended up having to cook a dinner as this was barely enough food for a starter.It was so disappointing for a new restaurant to offer such disregard to having people rave about their new business to get customers in.Such a shame but unless they offer more food for your money I am NEVER going to use this place again.
