The restaurant was empty when we arrived. We were a table of 6. From ordering our food it took 20mins for the starters then 50mins from finishing our starters to our mains coming out. The order was wrong and they forgot one of the mains. It took a further 10mins to come out. Dessert took 25mins from ordering. Absolute disgrace. Worst service by a long way. How is this linked to a 5 star resort, it’s not even close to 1 star. Food was just ok, gravy if you’d call it that, was more like oil than gravy. Plates were cold and food just mildly warm. Staff seemed grossly untrained and overall quite rude with no personality for the hospitality trade.

We went for a Sunday lunch as a party of four and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Jeanette and her staff were fabulous and so attentive. The food was delicious and the portions were very generous. Highly recommended a visit!!! In addition, my partner lost her ring and Jeanette went above and beyond to find it 🙂 We will definitely be back!

Congratulations to the new chef at Castlehume golf club restaurant. Sunday lunch was excellent, good choice of dishes including fish, all fresh food with tasty gravy & sauces. Delicious home made desserts.Great portions & value for money, served by pleasant & helpful staff. We'll be back.

My wife and I called in here as a recon to maybe book a meal for a large family gathering. Ordered a soup and a panini just, to gauge the quality of what was on offer. The soup came out stone cold and the cheese in the chicken and cheese panini was barely melted. To add insult to injury, they overcharged us on the menu price! Not impressed with the food nor the service and wont be back!
