The food quality was okay. Good compared to most takeaways, but not good for a restaurant. The service wasn’t great, and the restaurant itself isn’t a great place to spend any time - with no atmosphere. I think we’ll consider using this as a takeaway, but won’t considering dining there again.

Very enjoyable vegan dinner of Vegetable Yuk Sung lettuce wraps followed by Mixed Vegetables and Mushroom Fried Rice (no egg). Excellent friendly service.

Tried for takeaway for the first time last night and it was so good! Seeing all the recent negative reviews did worry me a bit but our usual Chinese was closed so we decided to try here. The menu has loads of veggie choices and interesting dishes, it was ready within 30 mins and all very hot still when we got it home. Staff really friendly at pick up. We did collect rather than have delivered so maybe that helped but will definitely return!

I hate to leave a poor review and feel we should support local restaurants but having visited twice in the last 3 months I hope this review helps the management improve their customer experience. We visited in February and the food was good but the customer service was terrible we thought this might be down to short staffed or new staff and decided to give it a go again on Saturday night but this was not the case. I can only describe it as the staff feeling annoyed you have come into their restaurant, I don’t think I saw anyone smile everyone working there looks like they are being forced to work there. We had to ask to order drinks, order food and then for the bill. The starters were brought out when we didn’t have plates but that’s ok because the surly mute male waiter went and fetched them and threw them at us 5 minutes after our starters arrived. The food is good and they were clearly busy on takeaway but the staff were all stood in reception so clearly not over burdened with restaurant customers. I won’t be back but I hope they can improve their staff training enough that other people will.

We have ordered take away a number of times, however on our last order the person on the phone whom we have never spoken to on any previous order became extremely rude and unprofessional to the point we decided to cancel the order and will not be supporting the business in the future. Disappointing as the food has usually been good in our experience.

We have ordered from here a number of times. The food is normally delicious. Tonight we have ordered and the food has never arrived. I have rung twice only to be told it’s on the way - 5mins away - 20 mins apart and then that they couldn’t find my order but the money had been taken from my account. We have ordered and received deliveries at this address a number of times. We have to go into the restaurant to get a refund even though nothing has been received tonight. Really disappointed. We won’t be ordering from here again.

This is hands down the best Chinese take away in the area- and possibly the best I have had ever. The food was so full of flavour and there was no grease. Really top quality, will definitely be ordering again!

Only a small place but the food was delicious,hot and well presented. We visited on a Sunday lunchtime and the restaurant was full with lots of Chinese students from the private school. This must speak for itself.will definitely return. The takeaway service is very good as well.

Over all it was a good experience - nice food and friendly service - it was very bright in the restaurant really need to dim the lights a bit to give a better atmosphere. Only odd thing was when they brought out the sizzling dish they hold it to an extraction fan in the restaurant and turn in on and pour the food onto the plate then bring it to the table.

We’ve been to the restaurant a couple of times and had mixed service (walked out once due to long wait) but the food has always been okay . Today, New Years Eve we ordered by phone at 4pm to collect at 5pm after having a drink in town. We’d chosen our food from the website and to make it easier ordered the menu number of each dish as is usually preferred. Collected at 5pm and drove the 3miles home to discover a totally incorrect order, no starters and wrong mains. I phoned and told them we were bringing it back and it had ruined our plans. When I got back there for a refund there was no apology, only told I must have ordered from an old menu! I explained that it was their current website menu but all they did was point at the menu they’re now giving out. You’d have thought that even with a change in menu that the starter numbers wouldn’t be so different that we got none at all or that perhaps they might have checked the order if things their end had changed. Not a good outcome at all and won’t be going back there again for a takeaway or to eat in Ian’s taking friends as we have in the past.

DID NOT GET TO EAT! If you expect a restaurant to be somewhere you go as an occasional treat and expect to pay a little bit more to be attentively waited on then DO NOT GO HERE !!! Considering it’s probably the most expensive local Chinese - Its a JOKE! They have no business touting themselves as a restaurant. I won’t go into detail just hope you take heed. Ended up having a very nice Indian take away from the Anarkali opposite. And if you want a nice, decently priced Chinese takeaway you cannot beat the nearby Royal Orient

As a big fan of Chinese food, we were really looking forward to the meal. It was our first time at the restaurant and we had booked a table of 10 to celebrate my Mother in Law’s birthday. It started off badly and it continued that way. We ordered our drinks and it took 20 plus minutes for some of them to arrive and another 15 minutes and 2 reminders for the remainder of the drinks to come. Then the food….. we arrived at the restaurant at 6.30 and the first starter finally arrived at 8.00. One starter arrived and some others 15 minutes later. However, a starter platter for 4 never arrived and we had to ask them where it was. When we asked the lady about it, she said it may have been delivered to a different table, but there was no apology. My husband told her that it would be nice if she said sorry. She then did eventually apologise. There was no attentiveness. You’d think once a table had complained, that you’d be super keen to turn things around. But no. Our starters weren’t cleared. We asked for this to happen and for our mains to be brought out. By the time our first main was brought out, we’d had enough. It was 2 hours since we’d sat down and the children ;who weren’t having starters) hadn’t eaten a thing. Plus our taxi was due as we’d thought 2 and a half hours was enough time to have a meal and be picked up. We asked the restaurant to give us the bill and we did not want the main courses, as we knew that like the starters, they would likely come out in dribs and drabs and we just didn’t want to endure the same state of affairs that we had with the drinks and starters. I uniformed the manager that we didn’t wish to pay for all of the food due to the bad experience we’d had. But she was reticent about decreasing the bill in any way. I had to insist that some food be knocked off. And in the end, she did so. The problem we feel, seemed to be that they were prioritising the takeaways over their restaurant customers. The restaurant customers should be the priority and the 2 should be treated as separate entities. We feel that this restaurant has bitten off more than they can chew. The manager tried to blame it on new staff, but from what we could see, the young staff were running around like headless chickens trying to do the best they could. Time to re-assess your customer service and prioritise your diners. We won’t return.

We ordered a take away for the first time from Canto Mando on recommendations from friends. I had to run somebody home and unfortunately missed the 11 o’clock closing time and couldn’t collect the take away I’d paid for. We telephoned them the next day and they come back tonight, which we did and they cooked us fresh meals free of charge. Wow! Best Chinese food we’ve had in ages, I wish lived closer. Superb food & service, will definitely go back again when we’re in the area. Highly recommended.

Superb food and complements all round from our party of nine who, I think, all had a different dish. A huge menu with everything freshly cooked and served quickly to the table. As others have said before the place lacks any sort of atmosphere but the food is excellent and the staff very friendly and efficient. It depends what you want when eating out. For me it ticked all the right boxes.

Very good food, excellent service and large portions. Quite the best Chinese food we have had in some time. Also there was more than we could eat, we took the surplus home.

Ordered take away to be delivered to local hotel. Took 1 hr 30 mins to arrive and it was cold. Poor service and food, even if hot was poor. Delivery was only 2 miles from hotel and they still couldn’t achieve this! Avoid.

We ordered a takeaway for our family and the full order wasn’t delivered but we were charged for all the order. On calling and trying to rectify we were told they no longer had any delivery drivers and wouldn’t send the rest of our order.

Booked for 12pm,we arrived on time and were seated straight away and drinks order taken. Our party consisted of four people and we decided to choose from the set menu. The food was served quite quickly and came piping hot. The food was delicious and plenty of it. We will definitely eat here again. It’s just a small place but perfectly formed with a nice decor and very friendly staff.

Recently moved near by and still looking for a go to Chinese takeaway, tried canto mando for the first time, overall it was good. Spare ribs were a little tough and gristly, rest of the dishes were good. Would like to try a curry from here, overall a decent takeaway had by us both. Would be a bit pricey without the 30% for takeaway which would put us off returning.

Really enjoy the food here. It's the best Chinese in Bromsgrove! We had food with friends and introduced them to canto mando. It is a little more expensive.

This restaurant had really high reviews, so we thought we would give it a try. The waiters was a bit clumsy and lacking enthusiasm. We weren’t sure if this was because they were newly trained or if they felt pressured by other staff. The food was pretty average. I would say it was the same level as a Chinese takeaway. I wouldn’t go rushing back to this restaurant.
