Great location and good was good. They could use free WiFi, which is only down thing.

The toastie with pulled pork was out of this world!!

We went for lunch after booking online. It was busy but had some tables left. The noise from a group with children was way over the top. Waited 40 mins for lunch despite others being served before us. My poached eggs were stone cold and hollandaise sauce looked congealed. Burger was nothing special and thin chips were so crunchy you couldn’t eat them with a fork. Very disappointed! It used to be such a lovely cafe too.

I love this wee cafe & best of all it’s dog friendly!! It’s always super busy tho so best to book. We didn’t and were lucky but only had 45mins which suited fine as it was only for cake & coffee. They have plenty seating outside too for when it’s nice.

Cracking breakfast, good service, tremendous views.

I popped in for a takeaway coffee after a canicross run. It took the staff 10 minutes to make my coffee.

Nice food a nice place sit in great service the staff are so polite and helpful a good car park to a clean place and a place for dogs it has a bar in it it not far away from Charlie's stone and cycling trailer it has out side tables out side I would recommend comeing here !

Fantastic, cant reccomend enough

Stopped in for lunch with mum. Not been in a while and it was better than I remembered. I had the goats cheese salad and my mum had the pate and focaccia. We both thoroughly enjoyed the food.

Really nice inside. Colours on the drive there and back lovely during Autumn. Service great. Good good, amazing cakes. Ordered breakfast roll with decafe tea. Very nice, gobbled it up before remembering to take pictures. Booking advised. On this particular Sunday, opened at 0930 Ground floor and disabled access. Next visit when it snows.

Love it here. We sat outside after a long walk along the trails. Just coffee and soft drinks but I have had the food and it's gorgeous

Myself and 2 friends visited here today we hadn’t booked as we were just visiting the area but would like to thank the super friendly member who managed to get us a table it was so appreciated . We had lovely soup and toasted sandwiches the venue it’s self was beautiful with love atmosphere and fab decor so welcoming on such a blustery autumn day. Thank-you again

Hidden Gem. If you want to eat inside, book a table. It's dog friendly. The breakfast was absolutely awesome; recommend Turkish eggs and French toast with bacon. The produce is really high quality - the bacon was next level. The team are brilliant. Will be coming back here for breakfast and dog walks in the future!

Thoroughly enjoyed my pig's cheek croque madame. My wife had a soup and sandwich deal and scoffed the lot, which says everything about the quality of the food.

Food was really good. However it's a bit expensive. Enjoyed taking in the cabin interior and views from outside. Great place to sit with a cuppa and a catch up with a pal. Bonus of the place is they are Dog friendly.

Rural venue with fantastic views and attentive friendly staff. Served by Gill/Jill on this occasion for breakfast. Lovely mains and choice of cakes. I have enjoyed breakfast and lunch here. It has a dog friendly eating area outside.

Fantastic food, warm and friendly staff. Update... Visited this evening for a 7 course taster menu. Wow! Simply outstanding. What a gem of a place. Everyone involved at Canada Wood should be proud of themselves. A great experience.

Quite possibly the greatest empire biscuit in the world.

One of our favourites for breakfast, but on Sunday it was disappointing. We always have the same, scrambled eggs and bacon. On Sunday the eggs were not seasoned and not creamy as usual and we were served 2 small pieces of bacon, whereas we are usually served three or indeed 4 pieces last time. The food was delivered very quickly after ordering which was unusual which made us think that the food was not cooked to order. Will give Canada Wood another chance but if it doesn't improve then unfortunately we will only have coffee.

If you like barking dogs, this is the place for you. I think, because of the "pet friendly" - classification, it attracts especially dog owners. I am not even kidding, every table on the outdoor sitting area had a dog (some even multiple) and as you can expect, they didn't get along well. The experience was unpleasant, but the food and the drinks were good. Price are okay as well.

Visited for lunch, friendly, warm welcome. Perfect view out the window. Food was excellent. Service perfect. Highly recommend.

Lunch with friends . We all had Ceaser Chicken Sandwich which was lovely , I asked for a side portion of chips ,has to be the smallest portion I've ever had anywhere. Coffee was lovely. There was an issue with their WiFi which was holding up a few people but not the staff's fault . We also came last week for breakfast which was lovely only fault was baked beans with my full breakfast ,they had onions through them which I didn't enjoy , my friends had Hebridean eggs benedict which they said was beautiful. Would 100% recommend this place and lovely seating areas outside fir dog walkers .

Lovely staff and location but the food was massively overpriced for what you got. Mac and cheese at £14.50 for a medium sized ramekin of mac and cheese which tasted mostly just of creamy and a sprinkling of skinny fries. Kids sandwich is half a sandwich (2pieces of bread with filling, of which you get two bits). I know prices are higher throughout all industries, but throw a bit of salad on the plate to bulk things out before you charge £15 for something that costs pennies to produce. Would definitely not eat there again despite the lovely location, free parking and nice staff. Just not worth the money. £2.75 for a can of Fanta? Thank goodness we stuck with water.

Nice enough place, trading on location though, food is not very good. Clientele are on the older side and don’t seem to mind.

Brilliant parking Lovely walks Looks like great cycling (didn't have time to try, but packed with bikes) Brilliant cafe, dog friendly (recommend booking if taking a dog). The cooked breakfast is SO good. There is also a bike shop which I wasn't allowed to go in encase I left with a new bike. 😁

All very good, my only complaint is a limited choice of light bites for lunch.

We had such a lovely time at this venue, from the brunch we ordered to the excellent refreshments. We had great service from the team, particularly our waiter/server Finlay. The team were efficient with our booking and organized us a lovely table inside the venue. As we were really enjoying the venue and the weather, not to mention that we got to see some deer, Finlay organized with the manager to get us another table outside. We were so impressed that we didn't want to leave, so not only will be returning to this venue; it is also highly recommended.

A pleasant place for lunch on a sunny day. Our salads were very tasty, the view was lovely and the team there are very friendly and helpful. It's a great location for a walk too. All in all a lovely experience. Recommended..

A bit of a hidden gem this one. Excellent staff and free parking (but you need the barrier code from staff). Relaxed and clean interior with a great selection of goodies for after your food. All of the food was decent stuff. The coffee was a bit weak but that's a preference thing and subjective. Would come back if I was hiking the area.

Nice cafe with indoor and outdoor seating. Great for light bites or larger dishes. I normally have tea and cake. Cakes are always nice. Friends have enjoyed main meals and soups with no complaints. Cafe can be busy at times so you may have to wait to be seated. Cafe is dog friendly.

Very friendly service in a lovely setting with easy access parking and plenty of outdoor seating. Prices are reasonable, and the inside atmosphere is very nice with a welcoming dog wall of visiting pets as well. Was reasonably busy, but breakfast in this case arrived quite quickly with plenty of staff available. A nice selection of deserts & cakes and the food quality was great with only the bacon being not to my taste. Would visit agaij especially in the nicer weather although I suspect booking a table would be best as it's a popular area. Parking was free in the nearby car park.

Cannot get enough of the place! It’s in a great location where you can go on lovely walks. I have a little dog so can take him into the cafe afterwards to relax. The staff are so lovely and welcoming and take the time out to make sure everything is great with your meal. Food is always outstanding, very fresh and alot to choose from. Overall an amazing place

came here for my birthday lunch with my family and was very impressed! The food was amazing and the staff were very friendly and accomodating! They went out their way to make sure we were very comfortable which i appreciated! very chill atmosphere and dog friendly too! will defo be back here

This restaurant was a disappointment on a few levels. (In response to the unprofessional reply from the owners after my poor experience, I went through the other reviews and this is not an isolated incident, consider further customer relation training for your front of house staff and servers to help them deal with busier times instead of brushing off complaints and pretending that there is no room for improvement, very poor management indeed!) The service was so poor by the hostess/manager, unwelcoming and a bit rude, that I do not want to go back. The sound is also a bit overwhelming as there is no audio damping and it is very difficult to hear across a table.

Great place to stop by if using the local paths for walks or cycle. Large carpark, I've been a few times as a handy mid way meeting point to meet friends. Staff friendly, cafe cosy with tasty food and cake selections. Great hot chocolate had after our cold walk!

A great cafe on the outskirts of Falkirk, surrounded by long walks and cycle paths. Great food with really attentive, friendly staff. Dog friendly, but often worth booking ahead as it can be busy.

The menu has been changed, and they have taken off the Pate we would normally have We took a salmon dish instead....not the right choice for us . There is a new owner and it felt different, sadly i don't think we will be hurrying back .

My first visit here after recommendations from my daughter. Service was friendly and professional, food was absolutely delicious, beautiful setting. Will definitely be back.

Went here for the first time today with my other half. Was not disappointed. We had only intended to get coffee and cakes and ended up having lunch when we realised how good the food looked. More expensive than some places but you get what you pay for with decent portion sizes, value for money and excellent service. There are things on the menu with a price range to suit everyone We will definitely be back sometime.

Stylish modern cafe with a small indoor dog friendly area (think best to book for this bit), there is a large outdoor seating area where dogs are also welcome. Friendly and attentive staff, delicious food served on a very hot plate (always a good thing!) would definitely recommend. With the added benefit of taking a walk afterwards to burn off some calories!

Over multiple visits over the years, it appears the vibe and how welcome you are made, depends heavily on who's working. Recently made to feel like it would have been easier if we hadn't asked for lunch. Portion size seems to be smaller too?

Super cafe in the middle of nowhere (quite hard to access/find so drive slowly if following google maps) with lovely outdoor seating and excellent food for lunch. I had a wonderful salmon open sandwich. The £2.75 soup add-on is just enough. Lots of walking and cycling trails are nearby and end up here so there are often dogs and bikes.

Excellent food and friendly staff

Arrived late lunchtime and it was busy. Our order was taken quickly but there was a wait for the food: however it was very very fresh and the Canada salad probably one of the best as it wasn’t bulked up with cheap salad leaves. We had to twice catch the wait staffs eye as it appeared we’d been overlooked for the drinks/cake menu and then taking payment..that said the staff were very polite & friendly. Definitely coming back with the dogs as it’s very dog friendly Well worth the visit.

A truly stunning location, totally supprised by the team of youngsters working there, not a raised voice or squealing voices normally associated with young adults, the management should be proud of them all
