The supervisor was alot of help setting us shuffleboard, and getting the table drinks.

Luke was amazing. He showed us the rules and etiquette for shuffle board before letting us lose. He was informative and helpful without being overbearing. If you have any issues you should definitely hit him up for help. I can't wait to go back and try more games.

The course itself is in terrible condition, with significant damage to the ball trays and other features. Halfway through, my ball was taken by the course and never returned! The equipment, including the putters and sling shots, was also poorly maintained. Overall, it felt like very poor value for money, and I wouldn’t recommend it.”

Who on earth has a management meeting leaving one person to man a bar with ten to twenty people waiting, along with a dozen people waiting at front desk. Terrible planning and management. Organise your management meetings at a time when a bar is dead, not the time between Christmas and New Year and on the day of a Ipswich home game. Drinks are expensive @ £6.80 per pint

I didn’t actually get to book. We went in to enquire about a staff outing in December. We went in in a Saturday, early afternoon and it was empty. Nobody manning the front desk, no call for attention bell. Nothing. Admittedly stood for a few minutes before peering around in to the bar area where I could see 2 staff members sitting on the floor. Even though the venue was basically empty and admittedly you seem to be a ‘book in advance’ venue there seemed to be a basic lack of customer service. Our company isn’t big and we wouldn’t have made you your fortune but I wonder how many other ‘off the street walk ins’ you have lost money on for simply not having the face to face customer interface we lacked. Ipswich town needs thriving businesses but to be greeted by nobody, in an empty establishment doesn’t bode well for the future. Your neighbouring bowling establishment took our trade but this won’t be as much fun as 50 people throwing axes.

While the music was a touch loud the service was excellent and the staff were very helpful. Our host Layla was absolutely brilliant

Great food, good atmosphere, great gaming facilities including mini golf, axe throwing, pool, batting cage, virtual darts, a batting cage and ping pong.

Came here on a Monday night. Was a different experience that usual on a Monday in Ipswich. Reckless Mondays was being played which got slowly busier throughout the night. Our group played on a few games, mainly shuffleboard, was a fun night even for a Monday. The drink prices were reasonable, a stein of beer for £8 isn’t bad at all.

We are loving family competitive time at Boom Battle Bar. Shuffleboard is a game of skill

First of all customer service in this place is awful. I was waiting at the bar to order for about 20mins and it wasn’t busy whatsoever. Barely the place had people in, it’s was mid noon. I was the only one waiting to order. staff didn’t bother or cared for customer waiting. 2 ladies were on shit one was actually busy making cocktails. The other staff was just pretending to be busy. The second bad experience is that another customer came to the bar to order after me and the lazy staff took their order before me. Ignoring that fact I was waiting for quiet sometime. Third disappointment is that while waiting few other people were going in and out the bar after filling their pints of beer. So I could not tell if they were staff on shift cause but if that’s was case its a mess. Having staff drinking during their shifts at the bar then how would you expect them to have proper customer service or serve drinks. Last thing you want some tipsy staff making you the worst cocktail ever. Anyway music is too loud and dirty tables full of sticky alcohol smell obviously staff is busy so can’t clean tables for their customers. Avoid this place if you value good service for quality time with friends. Neve again.

Paige was a great host, always making sure the drinks were flowing and checking on our experience. Nice place for bottomless brunch and next onto the minigolf.

Paige was super attentive and helpful, our glasses never run dry! Fruit bomb was my drink of choice but the othe rock tails looked fantastic too!

Attended boom battle for their bottomless brunch, and it was absolutely incredible!! Drink were lush and the hostess was amazing and attentive to our drinking need.

I boomed, I battled, I barred, also done some axe throwing and drank all the beer, lovely place, especially petra, she was marvelous.

Went there for axe throwing. The female staff member who helped us was very friendly and nice. Can't remember her name sorry. Food was nice. Axe throwing was a bit pricey, £40 for 30 minutes but was worth it to get out some anger. I recommend going as a group so the cost can be split. Will be visiting again once I can afford too :)

Went there with 2 grandchildren to play the mini (crazy) golf. Great concept of how the holes are designed but a couple of the ball runs were badly broken which spoiled our fun a bit. The rest of the facilities were good fun but the place could do with a revamp and repair in places.

Took 2x 11 year olds for all you can play over holidays and they absolutely loved it. Great value, snacky food was good and the staff were really helpful. They already want to go again. Thank you team! Kerry x

Bottomless brunch was great. Swift on the beers being replenished. Foods more of a snack but let's be honest the booze is what we go for.

Atmosphere wasn't great, staff were friendly but mainly talked amongst themselves. Terrible music, so loud we all got the giggles shouting at each other to be heard over our games, DJ was like a statue so we asked at the bar if it could be turned down or different types of music played and just got a shrug which was a bit odd. Sticky tables, ok prices. We had a fun night with a group of us trying the place for the first time, karaoke room was great, clean and loads of choice, great microphones. Axe ,darts and shuffleboard really good fun. Would probably come back and try once more, maybe it was just a quiet or an off night for a Friday.

1st visit, birthday treat. Absolute blast. Axe throwing..... sober btw Walked around site, plenty of unusual games. Staff are very helpful, decent bar.

Expensive. If you want to go axe throwing, just go to B+Q, buy some axes and throw them in someones garden, preferably someone you know. If you want to play darts, just go to a normal pub, it's usually free, plus pool is usually ~£1.

12 quid for pool, ques had no tips and table was falling apart

Just overall not a very good place, very overpriced, £12 for pool and the cues are bent at the tips on all of them, table was falling apart and there was no one at reception for 10 minutes when trying to leave 30 mins early

We had a great night playing darts, trying to hit balls in the battle cage and had a go at axe throwing. They were short staffed but those who were there were working hard! Reuben was an absolute star and was on it all night with our group of 15 people, he always smiling😃 Downsides, the tennis rackets were broken and so was the axe target, otherwise we had a fab night.

We didn't have food, so I can't comment about it. If you want to spend a couple of hours just playing games, this place is great. Down side, every time we wanted to lig in and play a game, we had to get the man from the desk to log us in. Overall, it's not a bad trip out.

Popped into the Ipswich branch for the first time and had a great time playing augmented darts! We went for a package deal with food and drinks. The only letdown was the super salty fries – couldn't really eat them. Apart from that, we had a great time overall!

Came here for karaoke, pretty good. You get your own room and everything, but it can get a bit warm in the room as it didn't seem to have any air con when I was in there (this was in March so can't speak on if they have air con in summer). Plenty of seating around. They do offer food, although I didn't get any. They have a disabled toilet doubling as a gender neutral toilet here.

Haven't eaten there yet but me and my bestie has the occasional kareoke night! :)

Pretty dull. Games are okay. The main attraction is the axe throwing. Drinks are somewhat reasonable, when the bar staff actually fill the glass and don't forget things. The food was a joke though. Extremely overpriced frozen foods and portion sizes are pitiful.

I spent 5 hours here today trying a bit of everything and watching the football. Lewis who I believe was in charge made me feel like one of the team immediately, Maddy the axe throwing supervisor was fun and entertaining and clearly cared, Mike the chef made us some banging bar food. 5 stars not quite enough to be honest! Will be back any time I’m in Ipswich
