That is certainly correct in the case of Bistango, the new establishment which has emerged out of the rubble and dust from the house that Baba built. The James House burger? I raise you: meet the Ruben Browne burger, straight out of Brownseville, U.S.A. If it’s paraplegic fries you like, why not try the Christopher Reeve Chips-n-Cheese. Most importantly, y’all gonna want to wash that shit down with a glass of Baba’s puddlewater slopsoda. This house has somehow improved on Baba’s legacy.

Amazing food service and good skills I got chicken kebab and chicken pizza that was really delicious and also wee guy was funny.

Went in an ordered some food. The guy then decided he didn’t want to give me any food, angrily refunded me my money and told me to leave. Don’t understand what happened but the guy obviously has significant problems - hope he gets the help he needs

Offfttt, popped in around 11pm on a Monday night for a pizza & veg pakora. Veg pakora uneatable, bland, days old & no where near fresh. Pizza was 3/10. If you want stomach problems eat out of this place

Have been sent the wrong order twice from these amateurs now. Phoned up to sort it out and the guy couldn’t care less. Said it wasn’t his problem and I shouldn’t order from Uber eats and to use just eat instead. Said it wasn’t their fault and hung up. If you don’t want customers using a certain ordering platform don’t have it switched on. Used to use this place a lot but I will be going elsewhere from now on. Terrible customer service from them

Got a veg pakora yesterday and chicken pakora today. Both portions were great size and flavourful.

Opted to try this shop for the first time tonight will an order through just eat waiting over 45mins and tracking order it says delivered will nothing being delivered only to call the shop for an explanation to be told there's nothing you cam do about it ....poor show if this is the way you treat your customers your attitude stinks on the phone in regards to the matter

At a time where prices are skyrocketing, especially in the shawlands area, Bistango has come along and offers some really good deals that are well worth it. Ordered twice from here and it’s been spot on both times. Chips were fresh, pizza states 2 toppings in the deal but you get the full amount of toppings depending on which one you choose. The pakora was amazing, crispy coating and soft juicy chicken. Tried the chilli cheese bites, they were great as well. By far the best thing though is the £7 pizza deal. Comes with a 10 inch pizza, chips and a can. Well worth every penny and pizza is really nice. This is my go to place now for great deals when I feel like a pizza or pakora.

Ordered 2 meals from deliveroo. Foods normally great but lately becoming poor. 1 chips were delivered. Called the shop to see if they could do anything about it. Checked my order again before calling & they are blaming the deliverro guy for eating the chips. It's chips.😆😆 I'm a good customer at this place. Don't think I will be any longer. Not the first time things have been missing from my order. They make the orders up. So how they can go wrong I don't know. I understand businesses get busy. But to many displaced items. Not a happy customer. Your service is lacking big time!!

Staff are genuinely so rude when you ask a question they act like they dont know what you asked for, also its cash only but they wont tell you that until you wait ages in a queue, don't understand why its hard so hard to be nice to customers who are being nice to you

I did go in about half 10, got chips cheese & donner meat donner meat was all shrivelled & cold didn't enjoy it at all. Won't be back.

Got a munchy box and a Hoagie last night, both delicious! The lamb donner meat was absolutely terrific, not greasy at all and packed with flavour. The chicken donner had a bit too much flavour for me, it was doused in a sweet herb, kinda like a cinnamon or a 5 spice, and was slightly drier than I usually like - but was still tasty enough. Nice selection of sauces and salad, pakora and chips were bang on. Hoagie was flawless. All in all - I would definitely recommend this establishment, prices were very reasonable too. Especially wi the cost a living crisis an aw that.

Best beef burger and chips. Always get that as it's very tasty with extra cheese. The place stays open late which is another plus. Always joke with the owner about his great hairstyle. Always neat and tidy. Have had the chicken kebab pieces and pizzas and they are all lovely but my favourite is the Beef Burger with extra cheese Thanks for serving us great food in the South.

Guy was working on his own on a busy Saturday night and still managed to produce quality scran. He juggled shop and deliveries and still kept folk happy. Absolutely brand new service without a single complaint from him or the customers. For his sake put more staff on busy nights and stop cheaping out on staff costs just to turn a coin. He deserves a bit of help or more pay.

I can tell you the now I use to go to babas all the time he was good but I must say bistango is 100% better than babas foods amazing everything is fresher and tastier take it from a top food critic bistango is now my new delivery hotpot anytime I'm hungry bistango is the only place am going from now after ordering from here multiple times can't wack it keep up the work BISTANGO perfect job

I believe some "internet "trolls"" have taken over your comment review section, bistango fast food. I find this repulsive as the food I have tasted at your establishment, namely the "Ruben Browne burger" was absolutely delicious. I recommend this place to anybody in the area - though of course, ignore the "Internet (trolls)" in the reviews below!

No where near as good as Baba's, I don't know what happened but clearly something dark is going on. I want the James House Burger, I want the Joe Swanson Fries. Viva la Baba. I do like the dirtgrub curry though. I also hear the Ronnie the Rat donner kebab is a good meal.

The site on which this place stands used to hold “baba’s tandoori”, my single favourite place to eat. Their menu was incredible with the James House burger being my regular pick, served with a portion of succulent fart fries and large cup of glop. This place doesn’t deserve to stand where baba’s used to be.

I tried the Ruben Browne Burger (your regular burger but with brown bread buns, caramelised onions and barbecue sauce) and it was actually pretty good, but it doesn’t live up to the James House burger that used to be sold at baba’s. No special drinks either, just regular coke and Fanta ect. This place does an admirable job but I can’t get over my disappointment of Baba’s closing.
