We went as a group of 11, two of whom were children. The food and service as always was excellent and extremely good value. All who ate commented that they enjoyed the food and could not believe the choice on offer at the price. Unless a big eater you will struggle to do three courses. After we ate another couple of friends joined us and we remained in the bar/reception area for a "few" drinks afterwards. (We apologise for rearranging the seating) As a group of family and friends it was nice to have a quiet area to chat after the meal. A couple who live in Falkirk but have never visited before plan to return again. Thanks again for the food, service and making us all feel welcome.

Quite acceptable accommodation in new section which was undergoing renovations during our stay. Helpful staff who enrolled us in Best Western programme which enabled us to access better accommodation during our trip around Scotland. Most helpful.

staying at the hotel 2 nites, so two experiences of breakfast and dinner 'to feast on'....! first nite, pea & ham soup followed by fish (in breadcrumb, not batter) & chips. can say that soup was great. both were off the evening menu which at £8 for 2 courses, or £10 for 3 represents great value. second nite, prawn cocktail (with apple - which works well) while my partner had leek & potato soup, followed by their recommended dish of 'Highland Chicken' - a haggis stuffed chicken breast in a peppercorn sauce accompanied by vegetables. this dish was from the A La Carte menu and works well. only niggle is that my partner who had the A La Carte Prawn Cocktail which was more substantial, but had larger instead of finely-chopped pieces of red-onion which were dominant in flavour. waiters/waitresses and staff in general extremely good and very friendly.

Nice restaurant staff are attentive and friendly. We dine there most Sundays for lunch. Food is good and always hot three course at the moment for £12 and it had a fair variety on th menu, would recommend

As we were staying at the hotel over night we decided to use the restaurant rather than finding somewhere in Falkirk. The restaurant is based on the ground floor on the hotel and is not overly big but feels roomy enough when you are seated, there is plenty of room between tables so you don't feel like you're intruding on anothers conversation. We ordered from the three courses for £12.00 menu, there were lots of options and something to suit every taste. It is mainly your standard pub food; fish and chips, steak, pies etc. Service was fast and efficient, the waiting staff were pleasant, polite and quick to clear away empty plates. The food was of a very good standard and large portion sizes. I had the chicken bites to start with a lovely salad, followed by steak and chips which was cooked medium rare as requested, and finished off with a gorgeous chocolate fondant. The three of us who were dining together all ordered different things and all agreed the food was lovely! My only criticism would be that all our deserts were served on dinner plates, but they all came with pouring cream already on which is quite difficult to eat without making a mess, I'd much prefer them in a bowl of some kind. However we would all happily eat here again regardless of if we were staying at the hotel or not, this was a Monday evening so it was quiet I imagine it probably gets quite busy at the weekend.

We stayed one night and it was what we expected for the price. However, everything is the colour of sludge and the lighting levels are very low which makes for a rather dismal atmosphere. Could do with a refurb - especially the bathrooms and just generally brightening the public spaces up would help. Good staff and breakfast.

Good menu choice on the 3 courses for £10 menu, portion sizes generous. Tables for two people very small though. Overall great value for money

First time I've been to the this place very clean and food very good. Marked this 3 out of 5 as found the staff eaten behind the counter a bit off putting. Surely you can eat out of the food preparation area. Wouldnt stop me trying it again though.

Was advised by guests at another hotel that Powfoulis Manor did excellent food so we called in on spec. We had a freshly cooked 4 course meal at £35 each, generous portions and very tasty. The restaurant was immaculately clean and staff attentive. Will return.

Just getting back to eating out after several months at home so "really" was looking forward to my treat today courtesy of my big sister who first introduced me to this place. Maybe that's why we both had a great meal, but I have not been disappointed there yet.Their chilli chips are particularly yummy !
