Lovely Italian! We had the cheese and garlic bread to start and the Carbonara and Cannelloni Con Ricota for the main. Everything was delicious and the staff were quick and personable

Great cosy vibe to the whole place, staff were lovely. The food was lovely, and quite cheap! Total was £32.50 for 2 to have a meal and a drink. 100% recommend.

Servicio y personal donde excelente nos pidieron que pre-ordenar debido a la cantidad de personas que nos mantuvimos en contacto porque siempre hay uno que cambia de opinión, en nuestro caso tuvimos dos. Toda la comida realmente organizada estaba caliente y hermosa nada era demasiado problema para el personal de espera. Lo siento por ellos en esta época del año que quieren cuidar de una gran fiesta cuando nadie puede recordar lo que pidieron. Definitivamente volveré pero con mi pareja y no con colegas revoltosos. ¿He mencionado que podrías tomar tu propio vino? Tienen una barra llena si no quieres pero mantiene el costo bajo. Voy a probar el filete la próxima vez ya que tuve envidia de la comida. Muchas gracias al personal y siento que fueran ruidosos.

Amazing little Italian, really enjoyed the food here, I had the spinach and ricotta cannelloni, piping hot and delicious. Followed by pistachio gelato. The service was wonderful, quick and friendly. The restaurant is cosy with a great atmosphere. Dessert selection was really good. On the high street so easy to get too, will definitely recommend and return. Thankyou for a wonderful meal.

Great little place. I suspect that BBs has been here for ever and has managed to maintain that old Italian cafe/ Bistro style by simply being good at basic unpretentious Italian food, really “just like mama used to make”! A great little place for a friend’s or family relaxed evening meal.

Nice little place maybe a bit to cosy for me as felt a bit hemmed in, service excellent, food was hot and tasty but have had better lasagne, would have been better if served with some bread to soak up the sauce, plus found a quill in the calamari, my friends lobster pasta was lovely as were her mussels

Fantastic little restaurant. Ten of us went Saturday at 6.00pm for a belated wake for our mum. Food was gorgeous, fresh and hot. Service was great and a lovely atmosphere. Would highly recommend. I'll deffo be back. Many thanks.

Best Italian restaurant in Sheffield

Great food, booked here as Rossi’s was unexpectedly closed. Almost everything about BB’s is fantastic, the food and service are excellent. The downside is the lighting - it’s dark, to the point where you almost need your phone torch to read the menu. I get “ambience” but this is like walking into a Hollister store (even they have improved their lighting!) That aside, very highly recommended.

Came here on a tuesday night. I had the carbonara which was incredible and my girlfriend had the seafood spaghetti which she said was probably the best pasta she’s ever had at a restaurant! friendly staff and a comforting atmosphere. will definitely be coming back!

My friend and I enjoy eating in or having a take away. We know that BB’s is usually fully booked and we understand why. The Italian food is authentic, tasty and a reasonable price. The service is outstanding.

Didn't plan on eating here, but we thought it looked a nice place to eat just as we were passing . The customers sat outside seemed to be enjoying them selves. Has It happened a couple got up to leave and we jumped in the seats they had vacated.what a great decision the steak Diane was as good as I've eaten anywhere and the staff were really friendly and efficient and made us feel really welcome. Dont take my word for it. Do you self a favour and give it a try.

El espagueti boloñés es un plato sencillo. Uno pensaría que un restaurante italiano lo haría bien siempre. No BB. Mamá Mía, estuvo mal. Ingredientes de mala calidad, acuosos, sin sabor, sin frescura. Apareció cuatro minutos después de ordenar - ¿qué te dice eso? No desperdiciaría mi dinero aquí de nuevo. Lástima, porque el personal, la ubicación y el ambiente de este lugar son buenos.

Mi esposa y yo tuvimos nuestra primera cita aquí en 2011. Qué puedo decir. Personal maravilloso, comida maravillosa, buenos precios, asientos dentro y fuera, gran ambiente. Diez de cada diez. Absolutamente me encanta aquí.

Lovely small Italian restaurant. First visit last night and wasnt disappointed, we prebooked and glad we did as the restaurant is small and they were turning people away as we got there. Ordered Napoli pizza each which was beautiful and shared a chilli garlic bread. All the food was freshly made and so tasty. For desert we had a cherry ice cream and a lemon sorbet. (2 scoops) and were really good potion sizes. We also had a beer and coffee with it and when the bill came, was pleasantly surprised how cheap it was approx £45. Will definitely come here again next time we are out in Sheffield.

Just 1 word ... Amazing 👏. Most of our family are gluten-free, and the food was out of this world. The pictures below are all gluten-free, and these are just a small range of the gluten-free menu. The staff were amazing, friendly, and very attentive. We would highly recommend bb's to anybody, but we would recommend booking a table.

A lovely hole in the wall Italian in Sheffield City Centre. Really incredibly welcoming and accommodating staff with excellent food and really great service. Two mains and two drinks each was £56. We will be back!

Brilliant place. Really good value and tastes so good! I had the seafood pasta and it was the best one I’ve had in a while with as much seafood as there were noodles. Great menu as well and bring your own wine deal. Will definitely come back x

Had a great meal late on a Friday for a friends birthday. Main course was very filling and served very promptly. BOYW policy is great for passing the time in any case and the staff were gracious enough to play happy birthday and offer my friend a free shot of sambuca for the special occasion

BB's offers very tasty Italian fare for reasonable prices. Our starters, mains, and desserts were all delicious and came in very generous portions. Great service and welcoming atmosphere. A proper cosy local Italian.

Great starters, however mains were pretty woeful. Seafood linguine and Lobster Raviolli left a lot to be desired and tasted more like reheated ready meals than freshly cooked dishes.

Having used an Italian restaurant on crookes a few times, we found our last experience there very disappointing. A friend recommended this lovely restaurant. It was such a joy to have good portions at a a reasonable price. It was a great atmosphere and not cramped at all. We will use this restaurant from now on. As far as I am concerned, I would recommend this as a very good choice. Thank you.

I enjoyed my lasagna and tiramisu at this restaurant, but the flavors of the dishes were not particularly remarkable. The place has a classic and Italian feel, with Italian music on in the background, which made my experience more lovely.

Our first visit to BB’s and we will definitely be back. Friendly and efficient staff, delicious food. The garlic bread starter was lovely, and the fillet steaks were amazing. We tried fillet Rossini, Buckingham and Pepe, and they were all delicious. One of the best steaks I have ever had.

Been to BBs several times, never had a poor meal. Last night was no exception. I had a mixed sea food risotto off the specials board, it was sooo nice. Hubby had lasagne, one of the best in a while. We shared a cheesy garlic bread, loads of cheese. All meals are reasonably priced and the wine is far cheaper than most restaurants. The staff are friendly, polite and helpful, providing excellent service.

This place is a gem! Been coming here for many years but today the team surpassed themselves, was out with my sister in law for her 60th birthday, she is gluten intolerant so she had chosen a restaurant which(supposedly) catered for her needs, when we got there(a party of 9) we were informed that the only thing she could eat off their menu was a chicken breast! She understandably was really upset, a quick call to Bb’s, and they accommodated our party with 5 minutes notice (they did a bit of table reshuffle for which we were so grateful) 9 meals, a few drinks, and a rousing rendition of “happy birthday” later we were so happy! The food, the service, the staff were absolutely A1, thank you so much Bb’s you truly saved the day! We will be forever grateful to you for just going that extra step, you never disappoint, but today was above and beyond, again, Thank you!😍

La cuisine est bonne, je trouve néanmoins les plats assez fades. Le service n'est pas agréable, on force le client à consommer cela est très désagréable. Si je ne veux pas prendre de vin, inutile de me le demander plusieurs fois, même chose pour la taille des boissons. À la fin du repas je demande l'addition, on m'encourage à prendre un désert ou un café. A déconseiller pour les touristes

My partner and I were welcomed at the front of the restaurant with lovely smiles and were given a nice table toward the back. The restaurant is a little dim, making for a more intimate atmosphere, the tables are somewhat close together but gives it a cosy, homely feel. The menu had moderate vegetarian options (around 2-5 per category). We ordered a cheesy garlic bread, margarita pizza and tagliatelle dolcelatte. The cheesy garlic bread and margherita pizza were absolutely divine, the dough in both were cooked perfectly and the cheese to bread ratio was generous. Some restaurants tend to give more dough than cheese or tomato sauce, but this pizza was the definition of perfection. Lastly the tagliatelle dolcelatte was also quite good, though the cheese flavour can be a little bit strong, and the meal gets heavy very quickly (I struggled to finish it!). However, it contained uncrushed pepper kernels which gave the dish a little zing, which I absolutely loved. The staff were all friendly and our food came out relatively quickly. The service was very professional and of a high standard. The cost was about £18 per person for our starter, two mains and two drinks.

Today, we visited B.B.'s and had a cheerful welcome, enjoying good food and drinks. We noticed diners bringing their own bottles of wine to pay corkage, which is good to know for next time. I gave the venue a clean sweep on the star ratings because the men's toilet was exceptionally clean and spotless, which to me means an excellent reflection on the whole restaurant, staff, and kitchen. Thanks to all the staff, we'll be back.

The starter was fantastic and fresh but the main was overcooked. Great service though, its a shame they don't have a bigger resteraunt with how busy they are.

This is a truly classic Italian restaurant - it’s great! The food was a variety of authentic and delicious Italian dishes. There is plenty of choice for meat eaters and veggies which is something I have struggled with in Italy as a vegetarian, but this food was some of the best Italian food I’ve had within the England. The sauces were rich, flavourful and comforting. The pasta was a perfect texture. The roasted vegetables were cooked to a good consistency to retain flavour and their firmness without being undercooked. The bread and dips tasted fresh. The staff were very polite and helpful in informing us what each dish was and what we might most like, and their advice did not disappoint. The staff were honest and diligent in their service, even recommending against us ordering more food than what we would manage to eat. This honesty shows integrity to genuinely want to put the customer first. The venue itself was exceptionally clean, especially the toilets. Although it could feel cramped at points, the memorabilia around the venue serves as a reminder that this is a family business. The memorabilia told a prideful story of the history of the restaurant. Service was balanced between being efficient but not rushing us out of the venue. We stayed up until the very end of the evening even after food. It was also brilliant to be able to bring your own alcoholic beverages. This really promotes choice for the customer to enjoy their meal how they would like. It was refreshing to visit a restaurant without the pretentious nature many city centre places adopt these days. It was 100% real and authentic that doesn’t survive on a short-term trendy image; it thrives on good quality food, great service and genuinely putting the customer first. Everyone in the party enjoyed their food and time here. I would therefore highly recommend a visit and intend to do so myself again soon.

Love this place. Our go to restaurant when ever we go into town. Food is fab and very reasonabley priced. All the staff are so attentive to all our needs ,and nothing is to much trouble for them. I would highly recommend BB s Italian

The taglietelle ortolano was delicious and the pesto was fresh and creamy. Will definitely return to try the extensive range of vegetarian options. Portions were big, arriving quickly but super hot and fresh. Staff were polite and the atmosphere feels very authentic/ rustic. I loved the kids' drawings stuck on the walls :)

Lovely little eatery, food is home cooking at its best, very tasty and fairly priced. A cramped when busy. You can take your wine.

The food was lovely. Not marking that down. But the waiter was so rude and in the end the waitress was too. It’s a very tiny restaurant our table hosted 5 people. We were in the very far corner of the downstairs room and all we had was shhh shhh shhh. We accidentally spilt a glass of red wine and was cleaning it up. The waiter kept shh’ing us everything we did or said he said shhhh. I told him to shhh in the end and said to back off then all of a sudden he was polite again. The next thing he’s switched and salting us for been loud to another table of guests. We then realised that’s exactly what the waitress was doing with us about another table. This must be a thing they do? We ended up arguing with another table because someone from that table was saying shhhh to us too but he was following the lead of the waiter and only messing, we then got told to shhh again by the waiter. It was honestly the worst meal I’ve ever experienced. I’ve never ever been told to shhh by anyone else other than my mother. They scurried off blaming us for leaving but then a gentleman they was with explained how they had to get to a speak easy for 9am and wouldn’t be aloud in if late. The waiter tried using this against us to which I explained that we had already spoken and sorted the matter, realising the waiter was the one winding everyone up. Long storey prob sounds daft but if you want to be able to speak and have a laugh don’t go here

This is an absolute gem of a restaurant. I’ve been going there since moving to sheffield in 2001 and the food, atmosphere and quality are astounding. The steak is absolutely delicious and I would happily eat anything on the menu. Excellent portion sizes, incredible service. Bravo xx

We visited here on Saturday afternoon. There were 9 of us celebrating two birthdays. We were seated upstairs in the restaurant. It was quite busy, we had booked the table and I would recommend booking for evenings and weekends. The staff were lovely, really helpful and friendly . The menu is good with specials available too on the blackboard. The restaurant is licenced but allow customers to take their own wine. We took our own wine which reduced the overall cost. Nine of us split the bill equally and it cost £32 each. We all had a starter and a main course, the food was lovely and tasty. I would say portion size is on the smaller side. Toilets are available upstairs.

Went for my birthday yesterday a Saturday night. Very busy and unfortunately we're sat next to a very loud disruptive group. The food was very nice and fresh and the staff were amazing especially our waiter who was so patient and had a bit of banter with us too. Would definitely recommend and go back just maybe not on a Saturday night! Quality food at a very reasonable price and a wide variety of food to choose from. The specials board had some great choices on too.Everyone enjoyed their meals and the plates were empty! Just avoid the paprika garnish chef please!! Your food is delicious and it's not needed . Definitely value for money.

Fantastic restaurant! Been going for many years. Take your own wine (they also sell it). Their fillet steaks have always been amazing. Around the £25 mark. Meals are so tasty & fresh. Save room, if you can, for dessert. A friend and I shared the Baileys Cheesecake pictured. My main meal this time was the Fillet Buckingham. Can't wait for my next visit. Book ahead.

Me and my family came here Christmas Eve. Really friendly staff and made us feel very welcome ,very child friendly made sure our grandaughter had everything she needed, food was the best Italian I've ever tasted and piping hot great job see soon😋😋

Have been 3 times now and loved every time The food is amazing and they have some really nice specials. Last time I has lobster ravioli and it was superb!! The service seems genuinely friendly and it's attentive without feeling like they are rushing you. With the "bring your own wine" it really brings the cost down as well.
