Bar 141 & The Smiths @ 141 in Swansea

We were looking for somewhere local to eat while on a work trip came across this place on Google, we turned up without a booking but they accommodated us anyway. The menu was very broad for choice and also had some good deals on for Monday -Friday 12-5. The food was amazing, so tasty, portions were absolutely massive, all the food arriving to surrounding tables looked so inviting. The prices were possibly too low for the quality and portion size was amazing. Even the price of a pint at £4.40 was a bit of a shock as most places are charging £5+ Would definitely visit here again if I'm ever in Swansea

We were here to celebrate my Mums 92nd birthday. Just the four of us, close family members. Mum can't deal with too much fuss at her age. My brother and my Mum had Sunday lunch there beforehand and was thoroughly enjoyed by each of them. My Mum had Salmon in cream sauce, Salmon was so overcooked it was rock hard. Salmon is easily cooked, just a few minutes, approx 7-10. She ate very little of this. So disappointing for her as she enjoys Salmon and cooks it herself with great success. Very little on the menu that she would have liked. I stated it was overcooked to a member of staff, there was no reaction. Disappointing service really, considering the complaint. Don't serve salmon if you can't cook it properly is my advice. The rest of the meals were good.

Had lunch here today as it was recommended to me!! It was one of the best meals I've had out for one heck of a long time it was absolutely delicious and the staff were exceptional!! Well done bar 141 will def be returning ..

Fantastic food. Lovely staff and value for money. Decided to go out for food last minute on a Tuesday. Had heard good things about this place. Wasn’t going to book because was 6pm on a Tuesday. Lucky we did !

Amazing Sunday lunch went with family staff were very friendly and nothing was too much for them. Food was perfectly cooked and piping hot will certainly return

Well dont want to give Bar141 a good review as that would mean more people would visit and it would restrict our chances of a table, but..... Our visit was exceptional the staff immediately made us feel welcome and at home and as if we were old friends, We were shown to our table and our drink orders were taken, a few minutes later our food orders were given after all the variations were covered, and when it arrived it did not disappoint the portions were large and the madras was one of the finest I have tasted in a long time. We will be returning if public demand allows 👍🏻

Great food but staff and service so slow Waited 20 mins before anyone took out order and food then took another 45 mims to come out and resturant was only half full and put me off coming here again because of this reason shame because food is good quality

Terrible place, the staff are gossips and will talk about you with members of the public after you have left, a lot of info has been reported back to me up to 3 weeks later! Plus all the staff are getting pissed while working!

Ordered a burger and it came out with bun rock hard at the bottom. I called the waitress over and she apologised and brought me a fresh one out. Bun was perfect this time and the food was spot on. Had the cheesy garlic bread as a side too and that was delicious. Customers service and food faultless.

Good luck finding another place with food this good at a price this reasonable. Friendly, accommodating staff and pleasant décor and ambience, no wonder it is often busy! They kindly squeezed me in without having made a booking on a few occasions. I had the Surf and Turf (they called it something else, 10oz Rump Steak with King Prawns, a mountain of chips and all the trimmings) which was fantastic and was just £19.95!?! I also had the Ranch Burger with Chicken Goujons starter on the side. I can't recommend this place highly enough, book a table so you aren't disappointed!

Physically called in to book table and asked to avoid Table 3 (draft from door). When arrived was given that table (hadnt been written down apparently). Was moved. Had wave down staff after 15 mins asking if we could order. Had mains. 10 mins later flagged down staff again and asked to see desert menu. Was told kitchen was closed. Sked why we weren't told when we ordered mains to order desserts...no answer but then went to check. Eventually staff member came back and abruptly said "what do I want". Said we hadn't been given any desert menu. He then pointed to a blackboard in darkness, across the room and said "they are on the board" (turned out there were only 4 but couldn't read them to us for some unknown reason). I asked to speak to manager who said we could have desserts but then defensive when I asked why we were told kitchen was closed. I asked if she trained the staff as clearly between taking orders, communicating to customers there was something missing. She just walked off. Wont be calling here again!

We have had a few meals and have never been disappointed, we had meals from fish and chips, steak, mixed grill, to Sunday dinners, enjoyed everyone of them The service if fast and friendly and food is excellent value.

Wow what a Great Restaurant food was stunning, reasonable prices as well presentation was first class and service was excellent,will definitely will return

This is by far the worst bar/food establishment in not just Swansea but South Wales. The staff are untrained, ill mannered and obnoxious. The food, if you can call it that is below average and tasteless. Clearly an establishment that wont be around for very long. Looking forward to whom ever takes it over next.

After finding this place on the off chance back in August, I recently returned. Had delicious food both times and plenty of it! Will be my go to every time I’m in the area. Lovely staff!

I have heard good things about this place but honestly did not expect the sheer level of welcome and how friendly the staff were. The food came and the portion size was heoooooge! Will definitely return and recommend to everyone. The only gutter is it is not dog friendly as our little poodle usually comes everywhere with us but that aside amazing!
